The Raiders placed McCormick (ankle) on injured reserve Wednesday.

The ankle injury that McCormick sustained in Monday's 15-9 loss to the Falcons will keep the running back sidelined for the final three games of the season. With Zamir White (quadriceps) also on IR, Alexander Mattison and Ameer Abdullahare poised to lead the team's backfield down the stretch, with Dylan Laube and Chris Collier in reserve. McCormick -- who is under contract with Las Vegas through 2025 -- finishes his 2024 campaign with 39 carries for 183 yards and six catches on seven targets for 29 yards in five contests.

Johnson (concussion) was a full participant in Wednesday's walk-through practice.

Though Wednesday's practice report is merely an estimate, his full listing is nonetheless a good sign that he's made significant progress through the NFL's five-step concussion protocol. If Johnson can gain clearance from an independent neurologist ahead of Sunday's game against the Lions, he will be in position to reclaim his backup role behind D'Andre Swift.

Head coach Dan Campbell said Wednesday that Montgomery (knee) is seeking a third opinion on his MCL injury, which is why the team has not yet placed him on injured reserve, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.

Campbell has already said Montgomery is expected to undergo season-ending surgery to address the MCL sprain in his right knee, but with Detroit gearing up to hopefully make a deep playoff push, the standout running back is leaving the door open for an alternative treatment plan. The expectation remains, though, that Montgomery will be shut down for the remainder of the 2024 campaign, leaving Jahmyr Gibbs atop the backfield, with Craig Reynolds and rookie Sione Vaki handling expanded depth roles.

The Browns signed Kibodi to the practice squad Wednesday.

Kibodi spent time on the Saints' practice squad for much of the 2024 regular season, but he was never elevated to the 53-man roster. Now with Cleveland, and with Nick Chubb (foot) out for the season, the 26-year-old undrafted rookie could have a chance to compete for the opportunity to make his NFL debut.

Evans reverted to Chicago's practice squad on Wednesday. per the NFL's official transactions report.

The Bears elevated Evans for Monday night's loss to the Vikings, but he was ultimately only called upon to handle seven snaps on special-teams. If Roschon Johnson (concussion) is again unable to suit up Sunday versus Detroit, Evans will be a candidate to be elevated as a depth option behind D'Andre Swift again.

Rivers played all 20 of his snaps on special teams in Thursday's 12-6 win over the 49ers.

Rivers had been working ahead of Blake Corum as the top backup to lead back Kyren Williams through the first four games of the season, but the rookie has since supplanted Rivers for the No. 2 role. Though he's been active for each of the Rams' ensuing 10 contests, Rivers has played exclusively on special teams in all of those games.

The Browns placed Chubb (foot) on injured reserve Wednesday.

While Chubb isn't expected to require surgery to repair the left foot he fractured in this past Sunday's 21-7 loss to the Chiefs, the injury will keep him sidelined for the final three games of the season. Jerome Ford is expected to step in as the Browns' lead back in place of Chubb, whose future in Cleveland is uncertain. The four-time Pro Bowler is set to become an unrestricted free agent this spring, and while Chubb has said that he would like to finish his career in Cleveland, it's unclear if the organization feels the same. After sustaining a significant left knee injury in Week 2 of the 2023 season, Chubb didn't make his 2024 debut until Week 7 and lacked his usual explosiveness as a runner. He averaged 3.3 yards per carry -- by far a career-low mark -- and scored four touchdowns over his eight appearances before going down with the fractured foot.

Wilson rushed three times for nine yards in Sunday's 30-13 win over the Seahawks.

Wilson continues to play a very small role in the Packers offense as Green Bay's No. 3 running back. The 25-year-old played just six of the Packers' 64 offensive snaps, behind starter Josh Jacobs (48) and primary backup Chris Brooks (16). Barring injuries to Jacobs and Brooks, Wilson remains far off the fantasy radar heading into a Week 16 matchup against the Saints.

Brooks rushed once for six yards and caught his lone target for nine yards in Sunday's 30-13 win over the Seahawks.

Operating as the Packers' No. 2 running back, Brooks played just 16 of Green Bay's 64 offensive snaps Sunday, well behind starter Josh Jacobs (48). The 24-year-old Brooks continues to handle a small workload, but he is the preferred backup over Emanuel Wilson based on the fact that he continues to see more playing time than Wilson. With that said, the Packers have relied heavily on Jacobs as he continues to have success out of the backfield. Brooks should be considered a solid insurance policy going forward but holds little standalone fantasy value. The Packers will host the Saints in Week 16.

Vidal rushed three times for nine yards and caught two of three targets for 13 yards in Sunday's 40-17 loss to the Buccaneers.

Vidal played the majority of snaps at running back for Los Angeles, handling 35 offensive snaps while veteran Gus Edward played just 14 snaps. Despite his increase in snap share, the rookie struggled to get much going, as the running game stalled against Tampa Bay's defense throughout the contest. Things won't get easier in Vidal's next game against a formidable Broncos defense. The 23-year-old will remain difficult to trust for fantasy purposes in Week 16.
