Ellington had one rush for two yards and one reception for nine yards in Sunday's win over the Buccaneers.

With six more snaps Sunday, Ellington has been handed a whopping 15 through two contests, which ranks third behind David Johnson (99) and Chris Johnson (23). The latter Johnson received 21 of those in Week 2 as an ever-increasing deficit reached 33 points by the 12:11 mark of the fourth quarter. Perhaps the reserve RB reps will be tied to game conditions, but Ellington is currently averaging an unusable two touches per outing.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Elliott will not have his workload reduced in response to his two fumbles during Sunday's win over Washington, the Dallas Morning News reports.

Elliott didn't have fumbling issues in college, and Jones believes the rookie running back has proper technique to avoid any such problems in the future. Things could change if Elliott keeps fumbling, but it doesn't sound like the one shaky performance will have much impact on his workload beyond Sunday's win. Alfred Morris closed out the game with Dallas' final three carries, bringing him up to five touches for the afternoon. Lance Dunbar also had five, while Elliott had 23 (two catches).

Mathews rushed nine times for 32 yards and two touchdowns in Monday night's win over the Bears.

Mathews also caught his lone target for three yards Monday. After a whopping 22 carries to start the season, the veteran's total of nine in Week 2 is a bit curious, but considering teammate Darren Sproles managed just 40 yards from his 12 carries, neither player was very efficient on average. In fact, 30 of Mathews' 32 rushing yards came on one play. That being said, Mathews still proved effective when it mattered, scoring from three yards and one yard on his respective second-half touchdowns. Following a low-volume effort in Monday's pull-away win, Mathews will likely be needed more often in the Eagles' Week 3 game against the Steelers.

Carey was removed from Monday's game against the Eagles due to a hamstring injury, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Jeremy Langford handled the opening drive of Monday's game, but Carey appeared to play the entire second series, and then played the first couple snaps of the next drive. Carey likely hurt his hamstring during that third series, as Langford has since gotten most of the playing time, with rookie Jordan Howard mixing in. If Carey doesn't return, which is considered questionable, he'll finish his night with just two carries for three yards and one catch for three yards -- numbers that don't reflect what appeared to be a major role increase from Week 1. Should he avoid an extended absence, Carey is shaping up as a major threat to Langford, who further hurt his own cause when he lost a fumble in the fourth quarter.

Davis saw the field for just one play in Sunday's game against the Texans and failed to make a mark on the scoresheet.

Davis took the field for just four snaps in total Sunday, with three of them coming on special teams. He continues to be buried behind Spencer Ware and Charcandrick West on the depth chart. HIs value could further decline with Jamaal Charles (knee) potentially returning to the fold in Week 3.

Martin (hamstring) has an MRI scheduled for Tuesday, NFL.com reports.

Martin was previously reported to be slated for further evaluation Monday, but more official testing will take place Tuesday, after which the specifics of his hamstring ailment should be clarified. If Martin is forced to miss any time, Charles Sims would figure to become the Buccaneers' lead tailback, with recent signing Jacquizz Rodgers in line for snaps behind him.

Johnson recorded team highs with 16 carries for 54 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 40-7 demolition of the Buccaneers.

Johnson garnered a career-low two snaps in the regular season opener, after which head coach Bruce Arians regretted not using the veteran back more often. Indeed, Johnson received a sizable bump in usage Sunday, picking up 21 of the Cardinals' 66 offensive snaps, according to Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 Phoenix. With the hosts safely in front, 33-7, after three quarters, starting RB David Johnson took a seat, thereby allowing the veteran Johnson to handle the rock the rest of the way, which involved a three-yard touchdown to push the score to its final tally.

Martin will have his hamstring further evaluated Monday, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Martin was forced into an early exit Sunday against the Cardinals after tweaking his hamstring. At the moment, the extent of Martin's injury is unclear, but the additional evaluation scheduled for Monday should help pin down a prognosis. If Martin is slowed or forced to miss further time, Charles Sims would be in line to benefit from his vacated starting position.

Abdullah is slated for an examination of his left foot Tuesday with Dr. Robert Anderson in North Carolina, Josina Anderson of ESPN reports.

Abdullah experienced an early end to Sunday's loss to the Titans, after which he donned a walking boot on his left foot. Subsequent X-rays didn't reveal any broken bones, but Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Monday that Abdullah may be dealing with a sprained foot. Tuesday's evaluation will presumably pin down the exact nature of the injury and an accompanying recovery timetable. Until the preceding is known, the Lions' RB pecking order will be in flux.

Abdullah's X-rays following Sunday's contest returned negative, and although that cleared some concern, further testing is expected to reveal a sprain in his foot. If that belief proves true and Abdullah escaped more serious damage, that would certainly represent a relief to his fantasy owners. While it's unclear exactly how long a simple foot sprain would impact his upcoming availability, more specifics regarding his situation should surface shortly.
