  • Charles Sims RB | TB

Buccaneers' Charles Sims: Set to be activated

Sims (knee) will be activated from injured reserve to the Buccaneers' active roster Saturday, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Sims has been unavailable for game action since Week 4, but he's slated to make his long-awaited return Sunday against the Saints. Given his lengthy absence, Sims' volume could be limited at this point with fellow running backs Doug Martin and Jacquizz Rodgers both healthy. Although the trio of backfield options results in a fantasy mess, the group could have plenty of opportunities to produce against a Saints defense that struggles against opposing running backs.

  • Bronson Hill RB | GB

Jaguars' Bronson Hill: Promoted to active roster

Hill was promoted to the Jaguars' active roster from the practice squad Saturday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.

Hill has been moved around to several practice squads throughout his young career, but has yet to record his first NFL regular season carry. That all could change Sunday against the Vikings, but he'll remain buried on the depth chart at running back.

  • Shane Vereen RB | NO

Giants' Shane Vereen: Expected to be activated

Vereen (triceps) is expected to be activated from injured reserve Saturday and therefore available for Sunday's game against the Cowboys, Art Stapleton of the Record reports.

Vereen will need to avoid any setbacks during Saturday's practice obviously, but all signs point to the versatile running back returning to the Giants' active roster after spending a majority of the 2016 regular season on IR. Another update should become available upon his official activation.

  • Shaun Draughn RB | NYG

49ers' Shaun Draughn: No injury designation

Draughn (ribs) does not have an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Jets after fully practicing Friday.

Draughn was limited both Wednesday and Thursday, but his full session Friday removed any concern that he'll play through his ribs problem Sunday versus New York.

  • Rams' Benny Cunningham: Doubtful for Sunday

Cunningham (neck) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Falcons.

Cunningham was unable to practice this week because of his neck problem, so it wouldn't be a surprise if he's inactive for Sunday's contest. While that would hurt the Rams in the return game, his absence would also figure to allow Malcolm Brown to serve as Todd Gurley's primary backup at running back.

  • Lions' Dwayne Washington: Considered questionable for Sunday

Washington (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bears.

Washington was carted off during last weekend's win over the Saints due to an ankle injury, which initially raised concern over his future availability. However, the rookie has since been revealed to have only suffered a sprain, which allowed him to practice on a limited basis this week. Whether that'll be enough to allow Washington to play Sunday versus Chicago remains to be seen, but with starting tailback Theo Riddick (wrist) listed as questionable as well, Zach Zenner could be in store for more touches in Week 14.

  • Kenyan Drake RB | GB

Dolphins' Kenyan Drake: Listed as questionable this week

Drake (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Drake practiced fully Friday and should be fine for Sunday's contest, though his path to fantasy relevance is limited by limited snaps and the continued availability of top back Jay Ajayi.

  • Ravens' Lorenzo Taliaferro: Unlikely to play Monday

Taliaferro (thigh) did not practice on Friday, Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports.

Taliaferro hasn't officially been ruled out for Monday's game against New England but it's unlikely that he's able to play. Look for Terrance West and Kenneth Dixon to handle the majority of Baltimore's running back duties once again.

  • Shane Vereen RB | NO

Giants' Shane Vereen: Status yet to be determined

Coach Ben McAdoo expects to know more Saturday about Vereen's (triceps) availability for this weekend's game against the Cowboys.

Vereen, who has been on injured reserve since Week 3, practiced all week and stands a chance of being promoted to New York's active roster for Sunday night's contest. However, that decision will have to be made by 4:00 ET on Saturday, so his Week 14 status will be determined before long. If Vereen is brought back into the fold, Rashad Jennings and Paul Perkins would face stiff competition for snaps in passing situations.

  • Ryan Mathews RB | PHI

Eagles' Ryan Mathews: Questionable for Sunday

Mathews (knee) is officially considered questionable for Sunday's game against the Redskins.

Mathews' questionable tag comes a couple days after coach Doug Pederson stated the tailback would be ready to roll Sunday, and since he's fully practiced all week, Mathews is indeed anticipated to play, Brian McNally of Washington D.C.'s 106.7 The Fan reports. Knowing that, Mathews' expected active status will just need to be confirmed prior to Sunday's contest, but barring any unforeseen setback, fantasy owners should count on having him back at their disposal following his two-game absence.
