Benny Cunningham RB | JAC
Rams' Benny Cunningham: Won't play Thursday
Cunningham (neck) has been ruled out for Thursday's tilt against the Seahawks.
Cunningham was unable to practice throughout the Rams' short week, and is now set to miss his second consecutive game. Malcolm Brown and Chase Reynolds will be in line to provide depth at running back behind Todd Gurley, while Mike Thomas figures to return kicks during Cunningham's absence.

Zach Zenner RB | NO
Lions' Zach Zenner: Limited practice Wednesday
Zenner (concussion) was limited at Wednesday's practice.
Zenner entered the concussion protocol following Sunday's win against the Bears, but he's progressed to the point that he donned a red non-contact jersey in his first opportunity to practice. Due to the untenable situation surrounding Theo Riddick (wrist), who didn't participate Wednesday, Zenner could play second fiddle to Dwayne Washington again this weekend in the event he gets clearance from an independent neurologist. A wait-and-see approach is advised with the Lions' backfield situation.

Shane Vereen RB | NO
Giants' Shane Vereen: Limited Wednesday
Vereen (concussion) was a limited practice participant Wednesday.
On Sunday, Vereen sustained a concussion in his first game action since Week 3, and while his return is subject to the league's protocol, he worked in the non-contact portion of Wednesday's session, according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com. Once the ailment is behind him, a pass-catching role awaits Vereen, but perhaps not much of one due to Paul Perkins' status as Rashad Jennings' primary backup.

Melvin Gordon RB | BAL
Chargers' Melvin Gordon: Not expected to play this week
Gordon (hip/knee) is not expected to play Sunday against the Raiders, ESPN.com reports.
The Chargers plan to take things with the running back on a day-to-day basis after an MRI revealed that Gordon suffered a hip strain and a left knee sprain in Week 14. Per the report, there remains a chance Gordon will play again this season, but it looks very much like the team's backfield this weekend will be headed by Kenneth Farrow and Ronnie Hillman.

Zach Zenner RB | NO
Lions' Zach Zenner: Remains in concussion protocol
Head coach Jim Caldwell said Wednesday that Zenner remains in the league's concussion protocol, Tim Twentyman of Lions.com reports.
Zenner suffered the head injury in last week's victory over the Bears, and he is apparently still dealing with symptoms three days later. The Lions' running back situation for Week 15 is murky at the moment with both Zenner and Theo Riddick (wrist) less than 100 percent, but it should become clearer based on both players' participation, or lack thereof, in practice over the next couple days.

Akeem Hunt RB | KC
Texans' Akeem Hunt: Gains 19 yards
Hunt had a 19-yard rush in Sunday's win over the Colts.
The Texans turned to the run big time in their AFC South showdown, combining for 41 carries in Sunday's win. Hunt contributed to the action for just his eighth carry since his eight-carry Week 10 effort. With Brock Osweiler and the passing game not all that the Texans hoped for, it is conceivable that further reliance on the run can continue, but Hunt is probably too low on the depth chart to benefit.

Lorenzo Taliaferro RB | BAL
Ravens' Lorenzo Taliaferro: Heads to injured reserve
The Ravens placed Taliaferro (hamstring) on injured reserve Tuesday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
For the third consecutive season, Taliaferro will be a member of the Ravens' IR list. On this occasion, he managed just three appearances on the campaign due to his placement on the PUP list at the start of the season with a foot injury and his current bout with a hamstring concern.

Darren McFadden RB | DAL
Cowboys' Darren McFadden: Joins 53-man roster Tuesday
The Cowboys added McFadden (elbow) to their 53-man roster Tuesday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
As expected, McFadden will be available after taking part in practice the past three weeks. Granted, his participation was merely with the scout team, but he may start to gain some reps as a pass-catching back as the playoffs approach. For now, though, McFadden will likely just be an option as a returner, per head coach Jason Garrett.

Terrance West RB | BAL
Ravens' Terrance West: Sees diminished role in Monday night loss
West played just 14 snaps in Monday's loss to the Patriots. He took two carries for two yards and caught all four of his targets for 24 yards.
There had been some speculation brewing that Kenneth Dixon was threatening West's hold on the featured role for the Ravens and that speculation came to fruition Monday as Dixon tripled West's snap count. West's role was drastically diminished from what it was in Week 13 when he played 37 snaps and notched a pair of touchdowns. Now that West's role seems to be on the downswing, look for Dixon to continue to serve as the Ravens' featured back.

Derrick Henry RB | BAL
Titans' Derrick Henry: Notches 12 carries in run-heavy win
Henry rushed 12 times for 42 yards, and caught his lone target for five more in Sunday's 13-10 win over the Broncos.
Henry got a decent chunk of work in a game that saw the Titans keep it on the ground 42 times. He continues to serve as the No. 2 running back, but is unlikely to see much of an uptick in value as long as starter DeMarco Murray stays healthy.
