Rob Kelley RB | NO
Redskins' Rob Kelley: Limited at Wednesday's practice
Kelley (ribs) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice.
Given that Kelley missed the second half of Sunday's 28-21 win over the Rams, his ability to practice in any capacity is a major positive. He escaped without a broken rib and is instead dealing with a cartilage injury, though coach Jay Gruden did say Monday that there's some chance the pain will be too great for Kelley to play. Gruden also gave his lead back credit for toughness, saying that he expects Kelley will at least give it in Week 3 against Oakland. While it's possible the medical staff has other plans, Kelley is on the right track after practicing Wednesday. Should Kelley end up missing the game, Samaje Perine will fill in as the early-down thumper, with Week 2 standout Chris Thompson likely also handling an expanded role.

Rob Kelley RB | NO
Redskins' Rob Kelley: Practicing to start week
Kelley (ribs) will participate in practice Wednesday, Nora Princiotti of The Washington Times reports.
Redskins coach Jay Gruden initially feared Kelley suffered a broken rib when the running back departed early from Sunday's 27-20 win over the Rams. It turns out Kelley escaped with a rib cartilage injury, which at least gives him a shot to avoid any further missed time. He vastly outplayed Samaje Perine in Sunday's win over the Rams, piling up 78 yards on only 12 carries, while the rookie needed 21 totes to reach 67 yards. The drastic difference in efficiency confirms Kelley's status as Washington's lead runner, assuming he's available for the Week 3 game against Oakland. Kelley's ability to practice Wednesday puts him on the right path, even if he ends up being listed as a limited participant on the official injury report.

Terrance West RB | BAL
Ravens' Terrance West: Absent at Wednesday's practice
West (soft-tissue injury) didn't practice Wednesday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
West was limited to only 15 snaps and 10 touches in Sunday's 24-10 win over the Browns while dealing with the unspecified "soft-tissue injury." Javorius Allen operated as the lead back in West's absence, with Alex Collins helping to kill the clock in the second half. Even if West ends up playing Sunday against the Jaguars, Allen's role appears a bit more conducive to fantasy production, featuring a decent portion of the early-down work as well as the vast majority of passing-down snaps.

Corey Grant RB | JAC
Jaguars' Corey Grant: Has one carry in loss
Grant had a 13-yard carry in Sunday's 37-16 loss to Tennessee.
After being limited to special teams duties in Week 1, Grant got onto the field for three offensive snaps out of 64 on Sunday. The Jaguars are among the NFL's most run-heavy teams, ranking sixth in the league in rushing attempts through two weeks. The likes of Leonard Fournette and Chris Ivory, however, will likely continue to make it hard for Grant to get in on the action.

Thomas Rawls RB | JAC
Seahawks' Thomas Rawls: Limited in return from injury
Rawls played 16 snaps and carried five times for four yards Sunday against the 49ers in his return from a preseason ankle injury.
Coach Pete Carroll said the team intended to limit Rawls' workload in his first game back. He gave no indication of that prior to the game, however. Rawls didn't have a carry after the first quarter and played two snaps in the second half. Chris Carson ran well in the fourth quarter against a tired 49ers defense. A starter hasn't been named for Week 3, but it would be surprising if Rawls was forgotten so quickly. It would also be surprising if Eddie Lacy was inactive for consecutive games, so that complicates matters too for Rawls. As does a weak offensive line that provided little running room Sunday.

Alex Armah FB | WAS
Panthers' Alexander Armah: Promoted to active roster
Armah was promoted to the Panthers' active roster Tuesday, Max Henson of the Panthers' official site reports.
With tight end Greg Olsen landing on injured reserve after breaking his right foot, the Panthers will use their open roster spot to promote Armah. Armah was drafted in the sixth round of the 2017 NFL Draft by Carolina before landing on the team's practice squad.

Dwayne Washington RB | DEN
Lions' Dwayne Washington: Logs three carries in Week 2
Washington carried three times for nine yards in Monday's 24-10 victory over the Giants.
With Zach Zenner a healthy scratch for a second week in a row, Washington seems to be locked in as the No. 3 running back. However, he appeared to be shaken up after getting slammed down hard on his third carry of the night and didn't re-enter the game. While it isn't clear if he sustained any injuries, his status is nonetheless worth monitoring ahead of Week 3.
-
Shane Vereen RB | NO
Giants' Shane Vereen: Totals 55 yards
Vereen rushed six times for 28 yards and caught all three of his targets for 27 yards in Monday night's 24-10 loss to the Lions.
Vereen led the Giants in rushing yards, evidencing how poor their ground game was once again Monday. With Paul Perkins ineffective thus far, Vereen could get more handoffs going forward, but his fantasy stock remains rooted in his presence in the passing game. Through two tilts, Vereen boasts 12 receptions for 78 yards.

Ameer Abdullah RB | JAC
Lions' Ameer Abdullah: Productive in Monday's win
Abdullah rushed 17 times for 86 yards in Monday night's 24-10 win over the Giants.
Abdullah spearheaded a running game that stunningly outgained Matthew Stafford and the Lions' passing attack. While Theo Riddick totaled 12 touches, including nine carries, Abdullah accounted for nearly 50 more yards on the night despite not catching a pass. Through two weeks, Abdullah's production has been hard to predict, but the fact he's comfortably Detroit's preferred ballcarrier provides some reassurance ahead of Week 3's meeting with the Falcons.

Charles Sims RB | TB
Buccaneers' Charles Sims: Limited action in season opener
Sims rushed twice for two yards and brought in two of three targets for seven yards in Sunday's 29-7 win over the Bears. He also lost a fumble.
The fourth-year back saw notably less opportunity than starter Jacquizz Rodgers (19 touches) and Peyton Barber (10 touches), although he outpaced the latter in offensive snaps by a 21-16 margin. A large part of the reason for the reduced usage appears to have been situational, as the Bucs held a comfortable second-half lead and used workhorse backs Rodgers and Barber to grind out the clock. Meanwhile, Sims once again projects to have a sizable role in the passing game, especially in games that are lot more competitive than Sunday's blowout victory. He'll look to up his production against a tough Vikings defense in Week 3.
