Darren McFadden RB | DAL
Darren McFadden: Announces retirement
McFadden announced Tuesday that he is retiring from the NFL.
This decision comes just two days after McFadden and the Cowboys agreed to mutually part ways, as the tailback officially decides to end a career that was slowed by injuries. McFadden finishes his professional career with 5,421 yards rushing and 28 touchdowns, but he only managed to play 103 games across 10 NFL seasons.

Terrell Watson RB | LAC
Terrell Watson: Lands on Steelers' practice squad
Watson was signed to the Steelers' practice squad Monday.
The Steelers waived Watson on Saturday after the running back mostly saw work on special teams through 10 games. He was replaced by Fitzgerald Toussaint, but Watson could be promoted back to the active roster should Pittsburgh feel it needs additional depth in the backfield.

Raheem Mostert RB | LV
49ers' Raheem Mostert: Hits injured reserve
Mostert (knee) was placed on injured reserve by the 49ers on Monday, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Mostert had been nursing a shoulder injury heading into Sunday's game against Seattle, but the knee injury sustained in the game is what ends his 2017 season. The move leaves the 49ers without a third running back for the time being, while Trent Taylor will likely step in to Mostert's prior role on kick returns.

Andre Ellington RB | TB
Texans' Andre Ellington: Won't play Monday
Ellington is inactive for Monday night's game against the Ravens.
Ellington's ability as a pass catcher out of the backfield could lead to him working in a complementary role behind Lamar Miller once he's more up to speed with the Houston offense, but Monday night at least, Alfred Blue will continue to back up Miller.

Aaron Jones RB | MIN
Packers' Aaron Jones: Practice possible Wednesday
Jones (knee) will start Week 13 prep in the rehab group with the potential for a return to practice Wednesday, Michael Cohen of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
According to head coach Mike McCarthy, drills will be on the docket for Jones "if things go well" after testing out the sprained MCL in his left knee. If the preceding comes to pass, Jones will likely have to make a decent amount of progress to gain clearance to play from the conservative Packers medical team. No matter, the offense could soon have a two-headed rookie monster at running back between Jones and Jamaal Williams. Elsewhere in the backfield, Ty Montgomery continues his recovery from sore ribs.

Damien Williams RB | ARI
Dolphins' Damien Williams: Likely out 2-to-3 weeks
Williams is expected to miss 2-to-3 weeks due to a dislocated shoulder, Ian Rapoport reports.
Williams had his shoulder pop out on a third-quarter hit Sunday at New England and was carted from the field after receiving medical attention. An MRI on Monday will determine the extent of the injury, which will in turn help the Dolphins formulate a prognosis. During Williams' absence, Kenyan Drake becomes the unquestioned lead back in Miami.

Kerwynn Williams RB | KC
Cardinals' Kerwynn Williams: Likely to miss time with cracked ribs
Williams sustained cracked ribs in Sunday's win over the Jaguars and is expected to miss some time, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
After the Cardinals made Andre Ellington inactive Week 11 before waiving him shortly thereafter, Williams settled in as the top backup behind starting running back Adrian Peterson, playing 14 offensive snaps over the past two games while producing 38 total yards on six touches. The injury looks like it will deny Williams the opportunity to build on his minor role in the offense, leaving D.J. Foster as the leading candidate to serve as Peterson's top understudy beginning with the Cardinals' Week 13 matchup with the Rams.

De'Veon Smith RB | MIA
De'Veon Smith: Could be promoted to Dolphins' roster
Smith could be promoted from the Dolphins' practice squad to the 53-man roster this week, Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald reports.
Damien Williams (shoulder) and Senorise Perry (concussion) were injured during Sunday's 35-17 loss to the Patriots, leaving Kenyan Drake as the Dolphins' only healthy running back. With Williams expected to miss at least one game, Smith could get a call to the active roster for the second time this season ahead of Sunday's game against the Broncos. He's an undrafted rookie out of the University of Michigan, offering size and power without the speed or pass-catching skills to match. A shaky fit for Miami's spread offense, Smith shouldn't be much of a threat to Drake's workload.

Charles Sims RB | TB
Buccaneers' Charles Sims: Another three receptions in loss
Sims rushed once for three yards and brought in three of five targets for 26 yards in Sunday's 34-20 loss to the Falcons.
Sims saw just one touch in the running game for the second straight game despite Doug Martin exiting the game early to be evaluated for a concussion. However, he was able to log a trio of catches for a third straight contest, keeping him modestly but consistently involved in the offense. The 27-year-old could see a slight uptick in the ground game Week 13 versus the Packers if Martin remains sidelined, but it's clear his role in the Buccaneers offense is decidedly tipped towards the air attack.
