Alvin Kamara RB | NO
Saints' Alvin Kamara: Productive all-around effort in Week 2 win
Kamara rushed 13 times for 46 yards and brought in all six of his targets for an additional 53 yards in the Saints' 21-18 win over the Browns on Sunday. He also logged a two-point conversion rush.
Kamara once again paced the Saints backfield, but as was the case in a Week 1 loss to the Buccaneers, his total number of rushing touches was modest. He was heavily involved on the pass-catching front, however, checking in second in receptions only to Michael Thomas on the team during the contest. The 23-year-old wasn't nearly as productive from a yardage standpoint as he'd been Week 1, but his level of involvement is essentially an every-week lock. He'll look to continue a strong start to his season against the Falcons in Week 3.

Dalvin Cook RB | DAL
Vikings' Dalvin Cook: Downplays hamstring issue
Cook downplayed the hamstring issue he dealt with Sunday, Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. "Just fatigue," Cook noted with the regard to the reason for his exit from Sunday's tie with the Packers. "It was hot out there."
The running back's status will still be worth monitoring in the coming days, but with his injury not related to last year's season-ending knee issue and seemingly minor, it looks like those invested in Cook have caught a break. The Vikings take on the Bills at home next Sunday.

Derrick Henry RB | BAL
Titans' Derrick Henry: Met with resistance
Henry rushed for 56 yards on 18 carries during Sunday's 20-17 win over the Texans. He also completed an eight-yard pass during the contest.
After pulling ahead early with some trickery, the Titans seemed content to play it safe through most of Sunday. That strategy can help explain why it was tough sledding for Henry, but it doesn't change the fact that things haven't looked good early. He's averaging just 2.9 yards per carry thus far this season. Full judgement should probably be withheld until he gets a full game with a healthy Marcus Mariota (elbow), who has been held out since midway through Week 1.

Austin Ekeler RB | WAS
Chargers' Austin Ekeler: Racks up another 98 scrimmage yards
Ekeler compiled 11 rushes for 77 yards and three catches (on three targets) for 21 yards during Sunday's 31-20 victory at Buffalo.
As an undrafted rookie last season, Ekeler surpassed 90 scrimmage yards just once, despite cranking out 7.3 yards per touch. He hasn't been lacking for opportunity this year, though, totaling 24 touches through two games. Ekeler earned six of them after Melvin Gordon left this contest with 11:56 remaining in the fourth quarter. If Gordon's health is impacted moving forward, Ekeler would be the main beneficiary out of the Chargers backfield.

Melvin Gordon RB | BAL
Chargers' Melvin Gordon: Tallies three TDs in Week 2
Gordon recorded nine carries for 28 yards and a touchdown and added six receptions (on seven targets) for 38 yards and two more scores during Sunday's 31-20 win at Buffalo.
Gordon was less efficient as a runner (3.1 YPC) than he was in the opener (4.3 per), but he again made a significant impact as a receiver with at least half a dozen catches for the second game in a row. He made his greatest mark in the red zone, though, with a trio of TDs coming from 20 yards out on the ground and nine and two yards through the air, all of them in the first half. The effort was his second outing with three scores in three-plus seasons as a pro, and first since Oct. 23, 2016 in Atlanta. On a sour note, Gordon didn't log another offensive snap after appearing to get injured with 11:56 left in the contest, per Ricky Henne of the Chargers' official site. Neither the team nor player has commented on Gordon's health, but if it's compromised at all, Austin Ekeler likely would take on a greater share of backfield touches.

Marlon Mack RB | ARI
Colts' Marlon Mack: Part of three-man committee Sunday
Mack (hamstring) rushed 10 times for 34 yards and caught one of two targets for two yards in Sunday's 21-9 win over the Redskins.
As if a running back platoon wasn't bad enough, the Colts appear content to torture fantasy owners with a three-headed committee at the position. Mack's 10 carries tied Jordan Wilkins for the team lead, but Wilkins gained 61 rushing yards to Mack's 34. Change-of-pace back Nyheim Hines also got four carries and vultured an eight-yard touchdown.
-
Christian McCaffrey RB | SF
Panthers' Christian McCaffrey: Excels as pass catcher in Week 2 loss
McCaffrey rushed eight times for 37 yards and brought in 14 of 15 targets for 102 yards in the Panthers' 31-24 loss to the Falcons on Sunday.
McCaffrey's passing game usage was extreme, even by his lofty standards. The absence of Greg Olsen (foot) certainly played a part in his out-sized volume, as did a game script that saw the Panthers trail throughout the second half. Carolina will undoubtedly want to get McCaffrey more involved on the ground as well, but in games such as Sunday's they'll clearly maximize the running back's talents through the air as needed. McCaffrey will look to continue the solid start to his season versus the Bengals in Week 3.
-
Jordan Wilkins RB | CLE
Colts' Jordan Wilkins: Leading rusher in Week 2 win
Wilkins rushed 10 times for 61 yards and caught both of his targets for three more in Sunday's 21-9 win over Washington.
Wilkins exited the game for a while with an ankle injury, but he was able to return and operated as Indianapolis' running back of choice with the team running out the clock in the fourth quarter. He was more effective than Marlon Mack (34 yards on 10 carries) and Nyheim Hines (seven yards and a touchdown on four carries), but the Colts' three-headed running back committee promises to leave fantasy owners frustrated throughout the season. That being said, Wilkins seems like the safest bet to lead the team in rushing yards most weeks.
-
Dalvin Cook RB | DAL
Vikings' Dalvin Cook: Injures hamstring Sunday
Cook is questionable to return to Sunday's game at Green Bay due to a hamstring injury.
Cook got crunched on a tackle during overtime and remained on the ground for a spell before walking to the sideline under his own power. If he's unable to return, he'll finish the game with 90 yards from scrimmage on 13 touches. Latavius Murray will be the preferred running back option in Cook's stead.
-
John Kelly RB | CLE
Rams' John Kelly: Inactive again
Kelly (coach's decision) is listed as inactive Sunday against the Cardinals.
Kelly has not appeared on the injury report during the regular season, but he nonetheless will miss his second consecutive game. While the 2018 sixth-round pick remains sidelined, Malcolm Brown will once again serve as the primary backup to Todd Gurley.
