Drake signed his transition tag tender Saturday according to the Cardinals organization.

This shouldn't come as much of a surprise considering the transition tag allowed for the Cardinals to match any sort of offer Drake might have received on the open market. The former Dolphins tailback will headline a new-look offense that now features explosive wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, and, perhaps more importantly in terms of Drake's potential production, one that will be absent David Johnson, who was sent to the Texans in the deal that netted the All-Pro wideout.

The Broncos have signed Gordon to a two-year deal worth $16 million that includes $13.5 million guaranteed, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Gordon will be joining a Denver backfield that also includes Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman, with Rapoport adding that the "lure of playing in the same division as the Chargers" appealed to the 2015 first-rounder, who reportedly had a better offer from another team.

The 49ers are tendering Breida at the second-round level, Dianna Russini of ESPN reports.

This means the team will receive a second-round pick if it declines to match an offer sheet for the restricted free agent. Breida has made a strong impression through three NFL seasons, but not strong enough for any team to give up a second-round pick for the right to sign him to a large contract. Barring a trade, he'll be back with the 49ers in 2020 as part of a backfield that also has Raheem Mostert, Tevin Coleman, Jerick McKinnon and Jeff Wilson under contract.

The 49ers and McKinnon agreed to a restructured contract for the 2020 season Tuesday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Knee woes have wiped out both of the last two seasons for McKinnon, so it's no surprise the 49ers sought to decrease his $6.5 million base salary for 2020. Fortunately for McKinnon, he was deemed healthy by GM John Lynch in late February, so he'll have a chance to work his way up a cluttered RB depth chart. McKinnon joins Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman as incumbents for the upcoming campaign, while Matt Breida is a restricted free agent.

Edwards will remain with the Ravens after the team placed a contract tender on the exclusive rights free agent.

Edwards is thus slated to reprise his role working behind Baltimore's top back, Mark Ingram. Edwards finished up the 2019 campaign with 133 carries for 711 yards and two TDs, to go along with seven catches for 45 yards. As long as Ingram stays healthy, Edwards isn't a strong fantasy lineup option, but the 24-year-old has been productive when given the opportunity, having maintained an average of 5.3 yards per carry over his first two seasons with Baltimore.

Clement (shoulder) is set to become an unrestricted free agent, with the Eagles choosing to not extend a contract tender, Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com reports.

The minimum restricted free-agent tender costs $2.132 million, which would be a large number for a third/fourth-string running back. Clement was never able to build on the promise of a rookie season that culminated with a huge performance in the Super Bowl, hindered by knee and shoulder injuries the past two years. He's believed to have undergone shoulder surgery in October.

The Titans applied the non-exclusive franchise tag on Henry.

As a result, the running back can receive offers from other teams, which the Titans would then have the opportunity to match. In a scenario in which Tennessee declines to match, the Titans would be due two first-round draft picks. With that in mind, both John Glennon of The Athletic and Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site deem it unlikely that another team will extend Henry an offer.

The transition tag doesn't involve any draft pick compensation but does allow the team to match any offer sheet. It's a strong indication the Cardinals intend to keep Drake, be it through their own negotiations or by matching a deal he signs with another team. Of course, there's always some chance -- however small -- that the running back gets a huge offer the Cardinals aren't willing to match.

The Titans have placed their franchise tag on Henry, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

The team recently released change-of-pace back Dion Lewis, but the Titans have unsurprisingly decided to prioritize retaining the bruising Henry, who logged 303 carries for 1,540 yards and 16 TDs to go along with 18 catches for 206 yards and another two scores in 15 games last season. Henry is now slated to reprise his role as Tennessee's top back and will be taking handoffs from QB Ryan Tannehill, who the team has signed to a contract extension.

With the Chiefs planning to pick up Williams' contract option, the running back is slated to earn $2.3 million in 2020, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Over his past two campaigns with Kansas City, Williams combined for 161 carries for 754 yards, to go along with 53 catches for 373 yards and 13 total TDs through 27 games. The 27-year-old capped things last season by rushing 17 times for 104 yards and a TD while hauling in four passes for 29 yards and another score during the Chiefs' 31-20 win over the 49ers in Super Bowl LIV. As things stand, Williams continues to profile as the team's top backfield option, with the likes of Darrel Williams, Darwin Thompson and Elijah McGuire also currently in the mix.
