Samaje Perine RB | CIN
Bengals' Samaje Perine: Logs first carry of 2020
Perine rushed once for no gain in Sunday's 31-27 loss to the Colts.
Perine recorded his first carry of the season in the fourth quarter after Joe Mixon exited early with a foot injury. Coach Zac Taylor is optimistic about Mixon's availability for this Sunday's matchup against the Browns, but if Mixon is sidelined, Perine and Trayveon Williams could have roles in the backfield behind Giovani Bernard.

Darwin Thompson RB | LV
Chiefs' Darwin Thompson: Three totes in Week 6
Thompson ran just three times for 17 yards in Monday's win over the Bills.
Thompson only took the field for three total snaps, so he's already behind the eight ball in terms of playing time. With Le'Veon Bell set to join the mix as soon as Week 7, there's even less upside to Thompson's prospects moving forward.

Darrel Williams RB | NO
Chiefs' Darrel Williams: Scores first TD of 2020
Williams rushed six times for 26 yards and a touchdown and reeled in his lone target for another 15 yards Monday versus the Bills.
The Chiefs opened the floodgate in the ground game Monday night, with each of the team's top three backs averaging at least 4.3 yards per carry and top back Clyde Edwards-Helaire notching 6.2. Despite the effort, Williams will likely see his role diminish moving forward following the team's signing of Le'Veon Bell last week. Bell will be eligible to take the field this Sunday and should do so in some situations. Given that he's still new to the offense, Williams may still take the field on occasion this week but will likely see minimal action in the future.

Kenyan Drake RB | GB
Cardinals' Kenyan Drake: Gigantic outing on MNF
Drake registered 164 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries during Monday's 38-10 win against the Cowboys.
The Alabama product still has just six receptions for 22 yards on the entire year, but he was dynamite on the ground against Dallas on Monday night, nearly doubling his previous season high in rushing (86 yards). Drake entered Week 6 with a 3.1 yards-per-carry average over his preceding two outings, but he gained 8.2 yards per tote against the Cowboys, much of which can be attributed to a 69-yard fourth-quarter TD jaunt that put an exclamation point on Arizona's dominant performance. Chase Edmonds contributed five rushes for 23 yards against Dallas, but Drake remains the clear No. 1 back with 17.5 carries per game as the Cardinals prepare for a Week 7 matchup against Seattle's seventh-ranked rush defense.

Ezekiel Elliott RB | LAC
Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Night marred by fumbles
Elliott rushed 12 times for 49 yards and brought in eight of 11 targets for 31 yards in the Cowboys' 38-10 loss to the Cardinals on Monday night. He also lost two fumbles.
Not only did Elliott produce a season-low rushing yardage total, but the two lost fumbles put a serious crimp in any chances of the Cowboys offense finding some continuity in its first game with Andy Dalton as the starter. Elliott first coughed up the ball after a short reception late in the first quarter, leading to Arizona's first touchdown of the night, and his second fumble on the very next drive set up Kyler Murray and company at the Dallas 27-yard line, enviable field position that they would cash in on as well. Game script eventually turned Elliott into much more receiver than runner, and he'll look to atone for his poorest performance of the season at the expense of the Washington Football Team in a Week 7 road matchup.

Royce Freeman RB | CHI
Broncos' Royce Freeman: Picks up 30 yards
Freeman ran for 26 yards on eight carries and added a four-yard catch during Sunday's 18-12 win over New England.
With Melvin Gordon out (illness), Freeman held onto the No. 2 RB job despite Phillip Lindsay's return to the fold and saw a season-high nine touches. He wasn't able to do much with them, however. Freeman is a solid pass protector and receiver, but he should return to the sideline Sunday against Kansas City assuming Gordon's health improves.

Zack Moss RB | CIN
Bills' Zack Moss: Returns to five carries
Moss rushed five times for 10 yards in Monday's 26-17 loss to the Chiefs.
Moss made his first appearance since Week 2 after overcoming a toe injury. While rainy conditions favored the running game, Buffalo struggled to get much going from its tailbacks, as starter Devin Singletary managed just 32 yards on his 10 carries and Moss's longest rush went for four yards. Even though Moss didn't impress Monday, having him back healthy should make the snap and touch split between him and Singletary worthwhile to monitor going forward. It's also good timing for Moss, as Week 7's matchup versus the winless Jets appears rather favorable on paper.

Devin Singletary RB | NYG
Bills' Devin Singletary: Held in check by Chiefs
Singletary rushed 10 times for 32 yards and caught one of his two targets for 13 yards in Monday's 26-17 loss to the Chiefs.
Singletary couldn't get much going despite rainy conditions favoring a ground-based approach. In the end, Buffalo attempted a season low amount of passes, yet quarterback Josh Allen outgained Singletary with 42 yards on his eight rushes. Furthermore, rookie Zack Moss returned from injury to carry five times, but with just 10 yards, he didn't do anything to make a case for overtaking Singletary. While it'll be interesting to see how those two tailbacks split the snaps and touches going forward, Singletary could use a rebound effort after averaging just 2.7 yards per carry and totaling only 78 yards from scrimmage in Buffalo's last two games. Fortunately, a Week 7 matchup versus the woeful Jets could prove to be just what the doctor ordered for both Singletary and the Bills.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire RB | KC
Chiefs' Clyde Edwards-Helaire: New high in rushing yards
Edwards-Helaire rushed 26 times for 161 yards and caught all four of his targets for eight yards in Monday's 26-17 win over the Bills.
Edwards-Helaire was a force on the ground, gashing a usually stout Buffalo defense for a new career-best rushing total. The rookie also caught everything thrown his way, but amid pouring rain for the duration of Monday's game, his running ability is what fueled Kansas City's bounce-back victory. After not topping 65 yards since his NFL debut, Edwards-Helaire made a strong statement to remain the Chiefs' lead tailback even after the team's recent signing of Le'Veon Bell. Of course, Bell was unable to suit up Monday while still completing the required five days of COVID-19 testing, but as long as he clears that protocol, Bell could be in the fold for Sunday's game versus the Broncos, in which case the distribution of snaps and touches between he and Edwards-Helaire would be rather worthwhile to monitor.

Rashaad Penny RB | CAR
Seahawks' Rashaad Penny: No timeline yet for return
Coach Pete Carroll said Monday that there's "no set ETA" for Penny (knee) to return to the Seahawks' active roster, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Two weeks removed from saying Penny was "getting really close" but wouldn't be rushed back, Carroll had another non-update on Penny's recovery from the torn left ACL he suffered Week 14 of last season. The prolonged rehab likely stems from the additional damage found in the knee during surgery, but there's no sense yet when the Seahawks will open his window to return from the reserve/PUP list. In the meantime, Chris Carson will be relied upon as the team's No. 1 back, with Carlos Hyde (shoulder), Travis Homer and DeeJay Dallas on hand for any reps that trickle down to the backups.
