Antonio Gibson RB | NE
Football Team's Antonio Gibson: Not at practice
Gibson (turf toe) isn't practicing Friday, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Gibson now has been held out from practice three days in a row, so it'll likely be J.D. McKissic and Peyton Barber getting the backfield work Sunday in San Francisco.

Christian McCaffrey RB | SF
Panthers' Christian McCaffrey: Not at practice
McCaffrey (thigh) isn't practicing Friday, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.
Coach Matt Rhule already said he doesn't expect McCaffrey to play this week, and the running back now has missed back-to-back practices. The Panthers were hoping McCaffrey could return from a shoulder injury after their Week 13 bye, but he hurt his thigh/quad somewhere along the way, so Mike Davis should get another week in the lead role.

Kenyan Drake RB | GB
Cardinals' Kenyan Drake: Practicing again Friday
Drake (hip) is practicing Friday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Drake was a mid-week addition to the injury report, with limited participation in Thursday's session. His presence Friday suggests the hip issue isn't serious, but the Cardinals could still decide to list him with a game designation on their final injury report.

Salvon Ahmed RB | CHI
Dolphins' Salvon Ahmed: Not seen at practice Friday
Ahmed (shoulder) wasn't spotted during Friday's practice, Josh Tolentino of The Athletic reports.
Ahmed appears to be a non-participant for the third straight practice and likely will be sidelined for the third consecutive game due to the shoulder injury. Myles Gaskin (knee) and DeAndre Washington (hamstring) also are banged up but have been able to practice with limitations, putting the pair on track to lead the backfield Sunday against the Chiefs.

D'Andre Swift RB | CHI
Lions' D'Andre Swift: Trending toward return
Coach Darrell Bevell said Swift (illness) is trending in the right direction to play Sunday against the Packers, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
The 21-year-old was able to practice as a limited participant Wednesday and Thursday and appears on track to retake the field Week 14 after missing the past three games. However, Swift's activity level at Friday's practice should determine whether he receives an injury designation for Sunday's contest.

Cam Akers RB | SEA
Rams' Cam Akers: Explodes for career-best effort
Akers (shoulder) rushed 29 times for 171 yards and brought in two of three targets for 23 yards in the Rams' 24-3 win over the Patriots on Thursday night.
The only blemish, if it could even be termed as such, on Akers' outstanding night was the fact he didn't get into the end zone, but otherwise, the rookie was as impressive as his numbers imply. The FSU product's long run of the night went for a relatively modest 35 yards, meaning Akers still averaged a robust 4.9 yards per carry on his other 28 totes. The 21-year-old had seemingly been groomed for the type of bell cow role he enjoyed Thursday by logging what was then a career-high 21 carries in the Week 13 win over the Cardinals, and his performance versus the Patriots naturally cements his role even further as the fantasy postseason kicks off. Akers will look to rest up from his heavy workload and then carry over the momentum of Thursday's effort into a Week 15 matchup against the Jets on Sunday, Dec. 20.

Damien Harris RB | BUF
Patriots' Damien Harris: Suffers back injury
Harris (back) was forced out of Thursday's game against the Rams with a back injury.
Harris suffered a back injury while picking up a blitz early in the fourth quarter. He totaled 50 yards on 11 carries before his departure. James White and Sony Michel will handle the backfield reps in Harris' stead. If Harris doesn't return, he'll have 10 days to recover before a Week 15 contest against Miami.

Travis Homer RB | PIT
Seahawks' Travis Homer: Misses another practice
Homer (knee) did not practice Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Homer appears on track to miss a fourth consecutive contest due to injury, though he at least seems to have recovered from his wrist and thumb issues. Chris Carson (foot) and Carlos Hyde (toe) are both also tending to injuries of their own, leaving DeeJay Dallas as the only fully healthy running back currently on Seattle's roster.
-
J.J. Taylor RB | HOU
Patriots' J.J. Taylor: No-go Thursday
Taylor (quadriceps) is officially inactive for Thursday's game against the Rams.
Taylor game into the game drawing the questionable tag after managing his practice reps throughout the week, but he'll miss another game. Damien Harris, James White and Sony Michel are the active running backs for New England this week.

Joshua Kelley RB | TEN
Chargers' Joshua Kelley: Status takes positive turn
Kelley (foot) was a limited participant during Thursday's practice session.
The UCLA product was unable to participate in any capacity Wednesday, having been forced to exit Sunday's 45-0 loss to the Patriots after three offensive snaps. The injury-induced departure naturally led to a dip from Kelley's average of 26.2 offensive snaps per game, as he managed just two catches for three yards in the contest. His status is now trending in the right direction, however, as L.A. prepares to host the Falcons' 12th-ranked rush defense Sunday afternoon.
