Myles Gaskin RB | SEA
Dolphins' Myles Gaskin: Non-factor in Week 4 loss
Gaskin rushed just twice for three yards and wasn't targeted in the passing game during a 27-17 loss to the Colts on Sunday.
The Dolphins largely abandoned the running game in the second half, but it was still disappointing to see Gaskin get such little opportunity and get outpaced in carries by not just backfield mate Malcolm Brown (eight carries) but by quarterback Jacoby Brissett (three carries) as well. Gaskin had just logged a season-high 13 carries in Week 3 against the Raiders and had recorded no fewer than six targets in any of his first three contests, so perhaps Sunday's strange stat line will prove to be nothing more than a one-week outlier. Gaskin will look to substantiate that in a difficult Week 5 road matchup versus the Buccaneers.

Kenneth Gainwell RB | TB
Eagles' Kenneth Gainwell: Outperforms Sanders in loss to KC
Gainwell rushed three times for 31 yards and a touchdown while catching six of eight targets for 58 yards in Sunday's 42-30 loss to the Chiefs.
Gainwell outplayed the ineffective Miles Sanders, who mustered just 13 yards on seven carries. The rookie fifth-round pick found paydirt from seven yards early in the fourth quarter and now has two touchdowns while Sanders still hasn't scored this season. With a prominent role as a pass-catcher out of the backfield and as a rushing option in the red zone, Gainwell has established himself as an enticing fantasy option ahead of his team's Week 5 trip to Carolina.

Miles Sanders RB | DAL
Eagles' Miles Sanders: Struggles continue against KC
Sanders rushed seven times for 13 yards and caught all three of his targets for 34 yards in Sunday's 42-30 loss to Kansas City.
Sanders failed to get anything going on the ground and was outperformed by rookie Kenneth Gainwell, who compiled 89 scrimmage yards and a touchdown on nine touches. With Gainwell forcing a near-even split in the Eagles' backfield and quarterback Jalen Hurts -- who led the team with 47 rushing yards in this one -- siphoning off rushing opportunities as well, Sanders isn't getting as many touches as most lead backs and hasn't made much of his opportunities. Getting back on track won't be easy for Sanders against the stout Panthers front in Week 5.

Jamaal Williams RB | NO
Lions' Jamaal Williams: Leads rushing attack
Williams carried 14 times for 66 yards during Sunday's 24-14 loss to Chicago.
Despite D'Andre Swift getting hyped all week, the Lions found success pounding the ball with Williams after Bears defensive lineman Akiem Hicks (groin) left the game after one snap. While Williams ultimately wound up with a season high in carries, he wasn't involved in the passing game at all while Swift saw another six targets. As this backfield timeshare in Detroit will continue to cap the upside of both running backs, Williams will probably need some involvement in the passing game to pay off as a fantasy option in Week 5 against Minnesota.

Derrick Henry RB | BAL
Titans' Derrick Henry: Posts 177 total yards
Henry recorded 33 rushes for 157 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's Week 4 loss to the Jets. He added two receptions for 20 yards.
Henry topped 35 total touches for the second time in four games this season, aided by both overtime and the lack of a an efficient passing attack for the Titans. He ripped off big gains both as a rusher and receiver, logging three rushes and one reception of more than 15 yards. Henry also scored his fourth touchdown of the season, plowing his way into the end zone early in the fourth quarter from one yard out. On the campaign, Henry has topped 100 rushing yards in three consecutive games and has also tallied multiple receptions in every contest.

Antonio Gibson RB | NE
Football Team's Antonio Gibson: Finds end zone in Week 4 win
Gibson (shin) rushed 14 times for 63 yards and a touchdown while catching both of his targets for 12 yards in Sunday's 34-30 win over the Falcons.
Gibson didn't seem limited by the shin injury that cropped up late in the week, as he got 14 of Washington's 23 rushing attempts by running backs. He scored his first rushing touchdown of the season from two yards out in the second quarter. Talks of a three-down role for Gibson have fizzled out with J.D. McKissic -- who caught the game-winning touchdown in the final minute -- cementing himself as the team's third-down back of choice, but the second-year pro out of Memphis still sees plenty of usage as Washington's early down workhorse and goal-line back. Up next for Gibson is a Week 5 visit from the Saints.
-
Alvin Kamara RB | NO
Saints' Alvin Kamara: Career-high 26 carries
Kamara rushed 26 times for 120 yards during Sunday's 27-21 overtime loss to the Giants.
After entering the year with only one game with 20 carries, Kamara has now topped that mark three times through four weeks, and Sunday's 26 rush attempts represented a career high. Now that Tony Jones (ankle) is possibly set to miss time, Kamara probably won't be losing carries to anyone anytime soon. While his relatively low usage in the passing game (by his standards) isn't ideal, the fact that Kamara has room to grow in that area could be viewed as a positive for his upside in games moving forward, starting with a Week 5 road matchup against Washington.

Cordarrelle Patterson RB | PIT
Falcons' Cordarrelle Patterson: Scores three TDs in Sunday's loss
Patterson carried the ball six times for 34 yards and caught five of six targets for 82 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 34-30 loss to Washington.
He also chipped in 78 yards on three kickoff returns. Patterson has found instant chemistry with Matt Ryan this season, and after Sunday's performance, the 30-year-old speedster had found the end zone five times in four games (one rushing, four receiving) while topping 100 scrimmage yards in back-to-back weeks. Patterson seems poised for another big game in Week 5 in London against the Jets.

D'Andre Swift RB | CHI
Lions' D'Andre Swift: Gets 12 touches in loss
Swift rushed eight times for 16 yards and caught four of six targets for 33 yards during Sunday's 24-14 loss to Chicago.
After a week of Detroit's head coach talking up Swift's expanding role, the running back matched his season-low touch total from Week 2 while Jamaal Williams logged a season-high 14 carries. It's a disappointing short-term development for fantasy managers, but they shouldn't dismiss the fact Swift tripled Williams' targets and could have had an easy receiving touchdown at one point had Jared Goff looked his way. With the Lions' defense unlikely to contain the Vikings offense in Week 5, Swift's receiving skills could be needed early and often by Detroit.

Khalil Herbert RB | NYJ
Bears' Khalil Herbert: Receives three carries
Herbert rushed three times for seven yards in the Bears' 24-14 win over the Lions on Sunday.
With David Montgomery leaving the game with a knee injury, Herbert was given rushing attempts late in the fourth quarter of a double-digit Chicago victory. Should Montgomery miss time, Herbert would likely be Damien Williams' backup, which could lead to him seeing weekly touches.
