  • Najee Harris RB | LAC

Steelers' Najee Harris: Added to injury report

Harris was limited at Thursday's practice due to a foot injury, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.

Per Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com, this marks Harris' first appearance on the team's injury report this season and given that he worked fully Wednesday, it's possible the running back's foot issue is a product of Thursday's session. In any case, Harris' status is now worth monitoring as Sunday's game against the Lions approaches. Through eight games, the 2021 first-rounder has racked up 150 carries. In that span, no other Pittsburgh back has logged more than 10 carries.

  • Cardinals' Jonathan Ward: Does side work Thursday

Ward (concussion) participated in work off to the side during Thursday's practice session, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Ward was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's practice estimate, so it's encouraging to see him partake in some light activities as he deals with a concussion. However, Eno Benjamin should see increased work Sunday against the Panthers if Ward is unable to suit up.

  • Football Team's Antonio Gibson: Another limited showing

Gibson (shin) was limited at practice Thursday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.

Washington continues to manage the stress fracture in Gibson's shin, which contained him to between 31 and 56 percent of the offensive snaps in the five contests before the team's Week 9 bye. He still was productive during that span, averaging 15.4 touches for 60.2 yards from scrimmage per game while scoring three touchdowns. Though he's been limited for the team's first two practices of Week 10, Gibson told Peter Hailey of NBC Sports Washington on Wednesday that he's feeling better physically coming out of the bye week. Even so, Gibson's injury is unlikely to fully heal until after the season, meaning that he could continue to cede work to No. 2 back J.D. McKissic, who notched 10 touches for 65 total yards per game and had one score in the same five-game period prior to the bye.

  • Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Not practicing Thursday

Stevenson (concussion) remained sidelined at practice Thursday, Ryan Hannable of WEEI.com reports.

Lead back Damien Harris was sidelined as well, as both he and Stevenson work their way through the NFL's concussion protocol. What Stevenson is able to do at Friday's practice will be key with regard to his chances of suiting up Sunday against the Browns. For the time being Brandon Bolden and J.J. Taylor are the Patriots' top healthy backfield options.

  • Damien Harris RB | BUF

Patriots' Damien Harris: Remains sidelined Thursday

Harris (concussion) wasn't spotted at Thursday's practice, Jim McBride of The Boston Globe reports.

Fellow running back Rhamondre Stevenson remained sidelined as well, with both players still in the NFL's concussion protocol. What Harris can do at Friday's practice will be pivotal with regard to his chances of suiting up Sunday against the Browns, but for now Brandon Bolden and J.J. Taylor profile as the Patriots' healthy backfield options.

  • Chiefs' Clyde Edwards-Helaire: Impresses in return to practice

Offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy said Edwards-Helaire (knee) "looked great" in his return to practice Wednesday, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports.

Edwards-Helaire was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, with the transaction opening a 21-day-window for the Chiefs to restore the running back to their active roster or leave him on IR for the remainder of the season. Based on Bieniemy's comments, Edwards-Helaire is headed in the right direction in advance of Sunday's game against the Raiders, though the Chiefs haven't indicated whether he'll be activated for Week 10. How Edwards-Helaire looks in practices Thursday and Friday may ultimately influence if he's brought back this weekend or if the Chiefs opt to wait until Week 11 against the Cowboys to add him to the 53-man roster.

  • Jaguars' James Robinson: Back at practice

Robinson (heel) returned to practice Thursday, John Reid of The Florida Times-Union reports.

Robinson, who is dealing with a bruised right heel, didn't practice Wednesday, but his return to the field Thursday has him trending in the right direction as Sunday's game against the Colts approaches. The Jaguars' upcoming injury report will reveal Robinson's official participation level, but it's worth noting that Michael DiRocco of ESPN relayed earlier this week that coach Urban Meyer expressed optimism about the running back's Week 10 status.

  • Chase Edmonds RB | WAS

Cardinals' Chase Edmonds: Still not practicing, but not on IR

Edmonds isn't practicing Thursday and remains likely to miss 3-to-4 weeks due to the high-ankle sprain he sustained in the Week 9 win over the 49ers, but Arizona has yet to place him on injured reserve, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Additionally, head coach Kliff Kingsbury hasn't officially ruled Edmonds out for Sunday's game against the Panthers, though Kingsbury at least admitted Monday that the running back is unlikely to play Week 10, per Dana Scott of The Arizona Republic reports. A move to injured reserve (and an accompanying three-game absence) is still the most likely outcome for Edmonds, but the Cardinals could be inclined to wait until the end of the week to make the transaction official. Given the lack of established depth behind him, James Conner looks poised to handle a three-down role for Arizona while Edmonds is on the mend.

  • Nick Chubb RB | HOU

Browns' Nick Chubb: Sunday status TBD

Offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt notes that there's still a chance Chubb could come off the reserve/COVID-19 list in time for Sunday's game against the Patriots, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

With that in mind, Van Pelt adds that the Browns will keep the process going as long as they can, but at this stage the Week 10 status of both Chubb and Demetric Felton, who is also on the reserve/COVID-19 list, remains cloudy. Given that Kareem Hunt (calf) is not ready to return from injured reserve, D'Ernest Johnson would be in line to start at running back for the Browns on Sunday if Chubb isn't activated by the team.

  • Qadree Ollison RB | PIT

Qadree Ollison: Reverts to practice squad

Ollison reverted to the Falcons' practice squad Monday.

Ollison joined Atlanta early in September and was elevated to the Falcons' active roster for the first time this season in Week 9. The 2019 fifth-found pick will likely go back to his reserve role on Atlanta's practice squad, barring any injuries.
