  • Cardinals' Jonathan Ward: No activity Wednesday

Ward (concussion) was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Ward took a knee to the helmet while making a tackle on kick coverage in the Cardinals' Week 8 loss to the Packers. He remained still on the turf and required a backboard and cart to get to the locker room, where he was diagnosed with a concussion. The backfield is expected to be without Chase Edmonds for multiple weeks due to a high-ankle sprain, so Ward could get into the mix if he can make his way through the protocol for head injuries. However, Ward has made no noticeable progress in his recovery to date, leaving James Conner and Eno Benjamin as the team's healthy running backs on the active roster.

  • Alvin Kamara RB | NO

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Dealing with mild knee sprain

Kamara was held out of Wednesday's practice due to a knee injury, James Palmer of NFL Network reports.

Kamara's health concern is considered a mild sprain, per Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football. As a result, the Saints likely are exercising caution with their top skill-position player, but Kamara's status will be one to watch closely as the team continues through Week 10 prep. If Kamara is at all limited this weekend against the Titans, Mark Ingram likely would be the biggest beneficiary, with Dwayne Washington on hand to aid the backfield.

  • Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Limited by knee injury

Elliott (knee) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

In the Cowboys' Week 9 loss to the Broncos, Elliott exited the contest for a spell due to a bruised right knee. He ended up finishing with a season-low snap share (53 percent) and carry count (11), but he still managed 76 yards from scrimmage with the benefit of three catches. Reserve running back Tony Pollard didn't benefit with Elliott hobbled -- five touches for 43 total yards -- as the Cowboys ran a pass-happy attack in the second half in an attempt to erase a huge deficit. In any case, Elliott continues to tend to the knee injury, meaning his status is one to monitor as the week progresses.

  • Jaguars' James Robinson: No practice Wednesday

    Robinson (heel) didn't practice Wednesday.

Robinson was inactive for this past Sunday's 9-6 win over the Bills, so his status will need to be monitored closely in the wake of his absence from the Jaguars' first Week 10 practice. Jacksonville's lead back has two more chances to get back on the field, but if he's limited or out this weekend against the Colts, Carlos Hyde would once again be in line for an expanded workload.

  • Ravens' Latavius Murray: Doubtful for Thursday

Murray (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Thursday's game in Miami, Adam H. Beasley of Pro Football Network reports.

Murray didn't practice at all this week and now is all but certain to miss a third straight game. Devonta Freeman has been filling in as the starter, with Le'Veon Bell and Ty'Son Williams working in reserve. Murray's next chance to play will come 10 days later against the Bears on Nov. 21.

  • Lions' Jamaal Williams: Misses practice after bye

Williams (thigh) didn't practice Wednesday, but did some running off to the side during the portion that was open to the media, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.

After playing through chest and hip issues earlier in the year, Williams missed Week 8 with a thigh injury that's apparently still bothering him after on the heels of a Week 9 bye. If he can't play this Sunday in Pittsburgh, the Lions will turn to Jermar Jefferson and/or Godwin Igwebuike behind lead back D'Andre Swift.

  • Alvin Kamara RB | NO

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Not at practice

Kamara wasn't spotted at practice Wednesday, Katherine Terrell of The Athletic reports.

The Saints will release their first official Week 10 injury report later Wednesday, at which time it will be known whether the star running back is banged up, getting rest or missing practice for another reason. Kamara and the Saints head on the road to face Tennessee this Sunday.

  • Browns' D'Ernest Johnson: Could get another start

Johnson will make another start in the event teammate Nick Chubb (illness) isn't reinstated from the reserve/COVID-19 list before Sunday's game in New England, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

Johnson's previous start, Week 7 against Denver, yielded 22 carries for 146 yards and a touchdown and two catches for 22 yards on a 69-percent snap share, while backups Demetric Felton and John Kelly combined for just four carries and three targets. A full repeat of the Week 7 outing is a lot to ask in New England, but Johnson will have a busy afternoon if Chubb doesn't end up playing. In order to suit up, Chubb needs to return negative tests on back-to-back days, after initially testing positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday.

  • Chiefs' Clyde Edwards-Helaire: Returns to practice

The Chiefs designated Edwards-Helaire (knee) for return from injured reserve Wednesday, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports.

Edwards-Helaire will thus resume practicing Wednesday while opening a 21-day window for the Chiefs to either reinstate him to the active roster or place him on IR for the rest of the season. The target date for a game appearance presumably is this Sunday in Las Vegas or Week 11 against Dallas, considering the Chiefs have a bye on tap Week 12. Fill-in starter Darrel Williams has been functional for both the Chiefs and fantasy managers thanks to his pass catching and blocking, but he's averaging only 3.6 yards per carry for the season and 3.5 since taking on the starting role.

  • Football Team's Antonio Gibson: Remains limited after bye

Gibson (shin) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.

Gibson played through a stress fracture in his shin in each of Washington's five games before a Week 9 bye, racking up 77 touches for 301 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns. In the same time span, change-of-pace back J.D. McKissic totaled a 50-325-1 line, respectively. Gibson appears to be operating under similar practice limitations from before the midseason respite, so his status should continue to be watched to ensure he's out there on game days.
