Jason Huntley: Joins Steelers' practice squad

The Steelers signed Huntley to their practice squad Friday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.

Huntley was waived by the Eagles during the NFL's recent wave of roster cuts, but the 2020 fifth-round pick will now provide Pittsburgh with added running back depth and is a candidate for a promotion to the active roster should injuries hit the team's backfield.

  • Jonathan Ward RB | BAL

    Cardinals' Jonathan Ward: Remains day-to-day

Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury said Tuesday that Ward (shoulder) remains day-to-day, Bob McManaman of the Arizona Republic reports.

Ward injured his shoulder during Arizona's second exhibition game, which he finished with 128 all-purpose yards, and didn't suit up for the preseason finale. However, he still made the team's 53-man roster, suggesting the shoulder issue isn't too serious. The third-year pro has appeared in 27 games over the past two seasons in Arizona, playing mostly on special teams.

  • Bengals' Trayveon Williams: Re-signs with Cincinnati

The Bengals re-signed Williams on Friday.

Williams made the initial 53-man roster, but he was let go a day later to make room for a trio of waiver claims. However, he's now returned to the team after the Bengals placed Tycen Anderson and Isaiah Prince on IR. The 2019 sixth-round pick has appeared in 26 games over the past three years in Cincinnati, totaling 47 touches for 242 yards.

  • Qadree Ollison RB | PIT

Qadree Ollison: Joins Dallas' practice squad

The Cowboys signed Ollison to their practice squad Thursday.

Ollison was waived by the Falcons ahead of Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline but has found a new home in Dallas via the practice squad. The 2019 fifth-round pick appeared in eight games for Atlanta last year and rushed 21 times for 105 yards and one score across 69 offensive snaps.

  • Jermar Jefferson: Joins Detroit's practice squad

The Lions signed Jefferson to their practice squad Thursday.

Jefferson initially made the team's 53-man roster but was waived a day later. However, he's returned to the organization on a practice-squad deal. The 2021 seventh-round pick appeared in seven games as a rookie, totaling 19 touches for 97 yards and two scores.

  • Anthony McFarland: Lands back in Steel City

The Steelers signed McFarland to the practice squad Wednesday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.

McFarland lost out on a roster spot to undrafted free agent Jaylen Warren, though he'll now re-join the team as roster depth. McFarland managed only three rushes for three yards during the 2021 season while with Pittsburgh.

  • Kennedy Brooks RB | PHI

Kennedy Brooks: Re-signs with practice squad

The Eagles signed Brooks to the practice squad Wednesday, Sage Hurley of the team's official site reports.

Brooks was waived as part of the Eagles' final roster cuts Tuesday, but he'll now return to the team as part of the practice squad. The undrafted running back out of Oklahoma will now look to improve his stock while trying to earn a spot on Philadelphia's active roster.

  • Jashaun Corbin RB | DAL

Jashaun Corbin: Re-signs with practice squad

The Giants signed Corbin to the team's practice squad Wednesday, Michael Eisen of the team's official site reports.

Corbin was waived by the Giants during Tuesday's final roster cuts, but he'll now operate as a reserve option should New York suffer any injuries to its running backs. Across the team's three preseason games, the 6-foot, 221-pounder recorded 21 carries, 73 yards and two touchdowns while also catching 14 passes for an additional 76 yards.

  • Saints' Dwayne Washington: Remaining in New Orleans

The Saints re-signed Washington on Thursday.

Washington was promptly let go by the Saints on Wednesday after initially making the team's 53-man roster the day before, though he'll now return on a new deal after some slight roster restructuring. The 28-year-old running back registered 16 rushing yards on just four carries last year, though he played a core special-teams role (249 snaps) for New Orleans in 2021. Washington should also provide depth behind backup rushers Mark Ingram and Tony Jones this regular season.

  • Larry Rountree: Joins Chargers' practice squad

Rountree has been added to the Chargers' practice squad, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.

Rountree was waived by the Chargers on Wednesday after the team signed Sony Michel, but the 2021 sixth-rounder is back in the fold to add further organizational depth to a Los Angeles backfield that currently features top back Austin Ekeler, as well as Joshua Kelley, Michel and Isaiah Spiller.
