Keaontay Ingram RB | KC
Cardinals' Keaontay Ingram: Heavy workload in preseason finale
Ingram recorded 16 carries for 61 yards in Saturday's 26-23 preseason loss to Tennessee. He added one reception on four targets for eight yards.
Even with James Conner resting, Ingram was the third back on the field. He also got work in the second, third and fourth quarters, an indication that he is buried on the running back depth chart in Arizona. Positively, Ingram did tally an 11-yard run just before halftime, his longest gain on the day.

Eno Benjamin RB | NO
Cardinals' Eno Benjamin: Produces as pass catcher
Benjamin tallied three carries for nine yards in Saturday's 26-23 preseason loss to the Titans. He added two receptions for 25 yards.
Benjamin started each of Arizona's three preseason games as James Conner didn't see any action. However, Benjamin may also have an upper hand over Darrel Williams and Keaontay Ingram for the backup role, with both entering the game after him Saturday. Even so, Benjamin isn't likely to command a huge role in the offense during the regular season, though he could get some work as a pass catcher.

Kenneth Gainwell RB | TB
Eagles' Kenneth Gainwell: Little room in preseason finale
Gainwell recorded two rushes for zero yards in Saturday's 48-10 preseason loss to the Dolphins. He added two receptions for eight yards.
Gainwell was the first back on the field, though most of Philadelphia's starting skill-position players sat. He wasn't particularly impressive but did show more explosiveness in the team's second preseason game. Gainwell should enter the regular season as the backup to Miles Sanders (hamstring) in the backfield.

Kene Nwangwu RB | NYJ
Vikings' Kene Nwangwu: Four carries in preseason finale
Nwangwu rushed four times for 14 yards and fumbled once but recovered during the Vikings' 23-13 preseason loss to the Broncos on Saturday night.
Nwangwu was the first running back in the game with both Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison sitting out, but Nwangwu only had limited success. The Iowa State product logged only 13 carries as a rookie and instead made his biggest contributions on special teams, and he figures to be in for a similar role in 2022 as long as Cook and Mattison remain healthy.

Hassan Haskins RB | LAC
Titans' Hassan Haskins: Stymied in preseason finale
Haskins tallied nine rushes for 11 yards in Saturday's 26-23 preseason win over Arizona. He added three receptions for 16 yards.
Haskins carried a heavy workload in Tennessee's final preseason game, though he was unable to get anything going. He was the second back in the game, working behind Dontrell Hilliard. Hilliard is reportedly set to serve as Derrick Henry's primary backup, leaving Haskins as the third back in the Tennessee offense to begin the regular season.

Nick Chubb RB | HOU
Browns' Nick Chubb: DNP on Saturday
Chubb didn't play in Saturday's preseason game against the Bears, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
It comes as no surprise that both Chubb and Kareem Hunt logged no action during exhibition season with the ground game taking on more importance considering quarterback Deshaun Watson must serve an 11-game suspension to begin the campaign. In Watson's stead, Jacoby Brissett will be under center, putting a lot of the onus on Chubb and Hunt to fuel the Browns offense. Throughout his four-year career, Hunt has averaged 17.2 touches for 96 yards from scrimmage per game while scoring 39 touchdowns in 58 contests.

Raheem Mostert RB | LV
Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Two carries in preseason finale
Mostert carried the ball twice for 29 yards in Saturday's 48-10 preseason win over the Eagles.
Mostert got the starting nod with Chase Edmonds resting, and he tallied a carry on each of Miami's first two possessions. Mostert ripped off a 26-yard gain to lead off the latter drive, accounting for nearly all of his production. Though the potential split in work between Edmonds and Mostert remains unclear to begin the regular season, the duo appears poised to lead the Miami backfield.

Ke'Shawn Vaughn RB | SF
Buccaneers' Ke'Shawn Vaughn: Scores in preseason finale
Vaughn rushed nine times for 36 yards and a touchdown and failed to bring in his only target during the Buccaneers' 27-10 preseason loss to the Colts on Saturday night.
Vaughn made a second consecutive strong case for the No. 2 running back job after producing a 10-54 line on the ground in last Saturday's loss to the Titans. The third-year back capped off a nine-play, 81-yard drive early in the second quarter with a one-yard touchdown run, his fourth consecutive carry of the possession. Rachaad White, Vaughn's competition for the primary backup role to Leonard Fournette, did enter the game ahead of Vaughn, and there's a possibility the two manage the job in a timeshare of sorts to open the campaign.

Rachaad White RB | WAS
Buccaneers' Rachaad White: Quiet in preseason finale
White rushed six times for nine yards, secured his only target for three yards and returned one kickoff for 22 yards in the Buccaneers' 27-10 preseason loss to the Colts on Saturday night.
White was outplayed by his competition for the No. 2 running back job, Ke'Shawn Vaughn, who netted 36 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Neither player has an easy task at the moment trying to find running lanes behind an increasingly thin offensive line, as evidenced by White netting minus-7 yards on his first two carries when he entered the game on the Buccaneers' second possession. With each player having their moments this summer, both Vaughn and White could potentially work in an fairly even timeshare in the No. 2 role behind Leonard Fournette to start the season, or head coach Todd Bowles may opt to go with the hotter hand from week to week unless and until one of the two backs separates himself.

Khalil Herbert RB | NYJ
Bears' Khalil Herbert: Plays in preseason finale
Herbert (undisclosed) ran for 14 yards on four carries in Chicago's preseason game against Cleveland on Saturday.
Herbert's undisclosed injury was evidently of minimal concern, and his four carries for 14 yards give reason to think he'll be ready to go as the top backup to David Montgomery when the Bears open their regular season schedule.
