Najee Harris RB | LAC
Steelers' Najee Harris: Scores first rushing TD in loss
Harris rushed 15 times for 56 yards and a touchdown and brought in all three targets for five yards in the Steelers' 29-17 loss to the Browns on Thursday night. He also lost a fumble.
The second-year back paced the Steelers' backfield in rush attempts and receiving yards, and he delivered for fantasy managers with a five-yard scoring run in the second quarter, his first touchdown on the ground this season. Harris' fumble came on a last-gasp play for Pittsburgh with no time remaining, when he mishandled a lateral from Chase Claypool and Denzel Ward landed on it in the end zone for a touchdown to end the game. Harris has been unsurprisingly busy with 40 carries and 10 catches through three games, and he'll now get some much-needed rest before facing the Jets defense in a Week 4 home matchup a week from Sunday.

Nick Chubb RB | HOU
Browns' Nick Chubb: Eclipses century mark in win
Chubb rushed 23 times for 113 yards and a touchdown and failed to bring in his only target during the Browns' 29-17 win over the Steelers on Thursday night.
The highlight of Chubb's night against a Steelers defense that did a good job containing him in both 2021 matchups was a 36-yard run in the first half, as he was held to 77 yards on his 22 other carries. However, the veteran back was effective when needed for the most part, and he's now encouragingly logged 62 carries over his first three games. Chubb will get some time to rest after that early robust workload before facing the Falcons in a Week 4 road matchup a week from Sunday.

James Conner RB | ARI
Cardinals' James Conner: Back to limited practice
Conner (ankle) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Conner left the Cardinals' eventual Week 2 win in Las Vegas with an ankle injury that sidelined him at Wednesday's session. Now that he's back on the field, he's giving himself a chance to miss no more time as a result of the issue. Still, Friday's practice report could leave him with a designation entering the weekend. If Conner is limited or out Sunday against the Rams, Darrel Williams and Eno Benjamin likely would split the touches out of Arizona's backfield.

Brandon Bolden RB | LV
Raiders' Brandon Bolden: Limited again Thursday
Bolden (hamstring) was limited at Thursday's practice, Rachel Gossen of the Raiders' official site reports.
Bolden logged his second consecutive limited practice Thursday after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 1. The running back was unable to suit up in Week 2 against Arizona. Expect Zamir White and Ameer Abdullah to share the workload behind lead back Josh Jacobs once again if Bolden is unable to get healthy before the Raiders' Week 3 matchup against the Titans.

Demetric Felton RB | WAS
Browns' Demetric Felton: Won't suit up Thursday
Felton (coach's decision) was listed as inactive ahead of Thursday night's matchup against the Steelers.
Felton has made little impact outside of his role as a punt returner over the first two games of the season, recording just one catch and one rush in Week 2. In his stead, Chester Rogers will likely handle punt returns after being elevated from Cleveland's practice squad Thursday.

D'Ernest Johnson RB | NE
Browns' D'Ernest Johnson: Suiting up Thursday
Johnson is listed as active Thursday against the Steelers, Jake Trotter of ESPN.com reports.
For the first time this season, Johnson won't be a healthy scratch and instead will be available to the Browns offense. Still, reps will be tough to come by behind Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. In the seven games in which all three running backs were available last season, Johnson managed just seven touches for 38 yards from scrimmage on 28 offensive snaps.

Josh Jacobs RB | GB
Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Misses practice Thursday
Jacobs didn't practice Thursday due to an illness, Rachel Gossen of the Raiders' official site reports.
Jacobs practiced fully Wednesday, so his addition to the injury report Thursday is notable. Look for added context regarding the running back's Week 3 status to arrive no later than Friday's injury report ahead of Sunday's game against the Titans. If Jacobs is out or limited this weekend, Brandon Bolden (hamstring, limited Thursday), Ameer Abdullah and Zamir White are candidates to log added backfield work versus Tennessee.

Alvin Kamara RB | NO
Saints' Alvin Kamara: Remains limited at practice
Kamara (ribs) was limited at practice Thursday.
Kamara maintained his activity level from Wednesday and will have another opportunity to bump up to full before the Saints issue their final Week 3 injury report. He's looking to keep his DNP streak to one game, which may be confirmed as soon as Friday.
-
D'Andre Swift RB | CHI
Lions' D'Andre Swift: Officially limited Thursday
Swift (ankle) was a limited practice participant Thursday.
For a second consecutive week, Swift is tending to an ankle injury, but he made his first appearance on the practice field one day earlier this time around, thus backing up coach Dan Campbell's assertion Wednesday that the running back looks "a lot batter than at this time last week." Swift was able to play Week 2 with just one session under his belt, so he could make it two this week, if he mixes into drills Friday. During this past Sunday's win against the Commanders, he turned seven touches into 87 yards from scrimmage and one receiving TD.

Christian McCaffrey RB | SF
Panthers' Christian McCaffrey: Limited by ankle Thursday
McCaffrey (ankle) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
McCaffrey got his typical veteran rest day Wednesday, but lingering stiffness in his ankle caused the Panthers to place a cap on his reps one day later. The team still expects him of suit up Sunday against the Saints, but his status now should be watched closely to see if he enters the weekend with a designation. D'Onta Foreman and Chuba Hubbard are the running backs directly behind McCaffrey on the depth chart.
