D'Andre Swift RB | CHI
Lions' D'Andre Swift: Back at practice
Swift (ankle) returned to practice Thursday, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports.
Swift didn't practice Wednesday, but his return to the field Thursday indicates that the running back is trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's game against the Vikings. The Lions' looming injury report will clarify Swift's participation level during Thursday's session.

James Conner RB | ARI
Cardinals' James Conner: Spotted at practice
Conner (ankle) was present for Thursday's practice, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
After sitting out the Cardinals' first practice of the week, Conner, who coach Kliff Kingsbury called "day-to-day" Wednesday, was on the field Thursday, but it remains to be seen how the team lists his participation level. If the running back is out or limited at all Sunday against the Rams, Darrel Williams and Eno Benjamin would be next up for added backfield reps Week 3.

James Conner RB | ARI
Cardinals' James Conner: Sits out practice Wednesday
Conner (ankle) didn't take part in practice Wednesday, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Per Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site, head coach Kliff Kingsbury called Conner "day-to-day" earlier Wednesday, but the sixth-year pro didn't end up logging any on-field work in the first session of Week 3. Conner has two more opportunities to do so before the team potentially gives him a designation for Sunday's game against the Rams. If Conner is limited or sidelined this weekend, Darrel Williams and Eno Benjamin are the next players up in Arizona's backfield.

Brandon Bolden RB | LV
Raiders' Brandon Bolden: Logs limited practice
Bolden (hamstring) was limited at practice Wednesday, Rachel Gossen of the Raiders' official site reports.
Bolden was inactive this past weekend against the Cardinals, but his limited participation Wednesday suggests that he has a chance to return to action this Sunday against the Titans. In Bolden's absence in Week 2, Ameer Abdullah and rookie Zamir White handled change-of-pace work behind lead back Josh Jacobs.

J.K. Dobbins RB | DEN
Ravens' J.K. Dobbins: Another full practice
Dobbins (knee) practiced fully Wednesday.
Dobbins -- who continues to work his way back from a major knee injury that he suffered during Baltimore's 2021 preseason finale -- participated fully in practices last week, but he was made inactive for the team's Week 2 contest against the Dolphins. The running back's continued full participation Wednesday demonstrates that he continues to progress toward a return to game action, but at this stage of the week, the Ravens have yet to declare whether Dobbins will be in uniform Sunday against the Patriots. If Dobbins is out this weekend or handles only limited reps, Kenyan Drake, Mike Davis and Justice Hill would once again see added work.

D'Andre Swift RB | CHI
Lions' D'Andre Swift: Held out of practice
Swift (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday, though Lions head coach Dan Campbell said the running back is "doing a lot better than at this time last week."
Campbell presumably expects Swift to play this Sunday in Minnesota, considering the running back ended up playing Week 2 when the ankle was more of a problem. Swift took only five carries in the 36-27 win over Washington last week, but he made the most of them (56 rushing yards) and also took one of his five targets for a 22-yard touchdown. He ultimately played 51 percent of Detroit's offensive snaps, down from 67 percent in Week 1. Swift's workload could rebound against the Vikings if he continues to feel better than he did last week.

Alvin Kamara RB | NO
Saints' Alvin Kamara: Limited in return to practice
Kamara (ribs) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday.
Kamara was able to log just one limited practice last week before the Saints deemed him inactive for this past Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers. The team may take a cautious approach as it prepares for this Sunday's road matchup with the Panthers, but the sixth-year running back has two more opportunities this week to get back to full activity in practice.

Alvin Kamara RB | NO
Saints' Alvin Kamara: Back at practice Wednesday
Kamara (ribs) took part in Wednesday's practice, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Kamara managed just one limited practice during Week 2 prep before the Saints made him inactive for this past Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers. His activity level to begin this week isn't known yet, but he at least appears to be putting himself on a path to play Week 3 at Carolina. Wednesday's injury report will reveal how much work Kamara was able to handle.

James Conner RB | ARI
Cardinals' James Conner: Remains day-to-day
Head coach Kliff Kingsbury said Wednesday that Conner (ankle) still is day-to-day, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Conner made an early departure from Arizona's Week 2 overtime win at Las Vegas due to an ankle injury. He appears to have avoided a significant injury, and his ability to practice this week will confirm as much. Conner's activity level on Wednesday's injury report will give a sense of whether he may be trending in the right direction for Sunday's game against the Rams.

Raheem Blackshear RB | NYJ
Panthers' Raheem Blackshear: Joins Carolina's active roster
The Panthers signed Blackshear to their active roster off the Bills' practice squad Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reprots.
Blackshear had a strong preseason with the Bills after being signed as an undrafted free agent out of Virginia Tech and landed a practice-squad deal with Buffalo after being waived ahead of the 53-man roster deadline. The Panthers' haven't released their official Wednesday injury report yet, but it appears their running back room is healthy, suggesting Blackshear will likely operate on special teams.
