  • Dalvin Cook RB | DAL

Vikings' Dalvin Cook: Chips in 86 total yards

Cook rushed the ball 20 times for 76 yards in Sunday's 28-25 win over the Saints. He added two receptions for 10 yards.

Cook overcame a shoulder injury to account for 20 of the 25 carries out of the Minnesota backfield. He wasn't particularly explosive but did tally two rushes of more than 10 yards. While his production was mediocre, Alexander Mattison and Justin Jefferson both scored touchdowns from inside the 20-yard line, denying Cook a chance to reach the end zone. Cook has managed at least 85 total yards in three of four games this season but has only one touchdown.

  • Kenyan Drake RB | GB

    Ravens' Kenyan Drake: Inactive again

Drake is inactive for Sunday's game against the Bills.

With J.K. Dobbins back in the mix again after making his season debut last weekend, Drake remains the odd man out in the team's Week 4 backfield, which will also include Justice Hill in a change-of-pace role and Mike Davis in reserve.

  • Trey Sermon RB | PIT

Eagles' Trey Sermon: Set for Eagles debut

Sermon is active for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Sage Hurley of the Eagles' official site reports.

Sermon was claimed off waivers after failing to make the 49ers' Week 1 roster. He was inactive for Philadelphia's first two games, but with Boston Scott (ribs) sidelined, Sermon will have the chance to suit up. The Eagles regularly use a rotation at running back, so it's possible Sermon sees some work behind Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell.

  • Falcons' Cordarrelle Patterson: Suiting up in Week 4

Patterson (knee) is listed as active Sunday versus the Browns, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.

Patterson was held out of practice Wednesday and Thursday with an official listing of "resting player/knee" before being a limited participant at Friday's session, earning a questionable designation for Week 4 in the process. The issue won't keep Patterson from game action, though, and he's now poised to lead the Falcons backfield yet again. Through three games this season, he's totaled 53 touches for 330 yards from scrimmage and two rushing touchdowns.

  • Panthers' Christian McCaffrey: Sunday status TBD

Though the Panthers have reportedly been optimistic about McCaffrey playing Sunday against the Cardinals, the running back is expected to test out his thigh injury in pregame warmups to determine his availability for the contest, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

Those considering McCaffrey in Week 4 fantasy lineups will want to confirm his status when the Panthers' inactives are posted ahead of Sunday's 4:05 ET kickoff. In the event that he ends up out or limited, Chuba Hubbard and D'Onta Foreman would be in line to handle expanded roles out of the Panthers backfield versus Arizona.

  • Alvin Kamara RB | NO

    Saints' Alvin Kamara: Inactive Sunday

Kamara (ribs) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Vikings.

With Kamara inactive, look for Mark Ingram to head the Saints' running back corps versus the Vikings, with Dwayne Washington and Latavius Murray on hand to work in complementary roles. Kamara's next chance to suit up will arrive in Week 5, when New Orleans faces the Seahawks.

  • Alvin Kamara RB | NO

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Not in line to play Sunday

Kamara (ribs) is not slated to play Sunday against the Vikings, Stacey Dales of NFL Network reports.

Kamara's status for the contest will be officially confirmed upon the release of the Saints' inactives ahead of Sunday's 9:30 ET kickoff, but it looks like the team's Week 4 rushing game is in line to be led by Mark Ingram.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Expected to be activated Week 5

The Commanders are expected to activate Robinson (knee) from the reserve/non-football injury list Week 5, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Robinson continues to make an encouraging recovery from the two gunshot wounds he suffered to his lower body as the victim of an attempted robbery late August. Washington hasn't offered an official timetable for Robinson's expected return to the field, which would mark his NFL debut, but it will be a notable step in the right direction if he's indeed able to resume practicing next week. When back to full form, Robinson will join a backfield currently helmed by Antonio Gibson and J.D. McKissic.

  • Falcons' Cordarrelle Patterson: Expected to play Sunday

Patterson (knee) plans to suit up for Sunday's game against the Browns, but his status could come down to the wire, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Patterson is officially listed as questionable, and Schefter reports a source close to the Falcons organization saying "it's close." The veteran running back resumed practicing in a limited capacity Friday after having missed two straight sessions to begin the week. Patterson's official status for Week 4 will be made available roughly 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff, as Patterson will need to test his knee in pregame warmups.

  • Panthers' Christian McCaffrey: Planning to face Cardinals

McCaffrey (thigh) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals but is likely to play, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

McCaffrey missed the first two practices of the week, but he was present Friday and officially logged a limited session. While there won't be any official word until shortly before the 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff, he appears to be in line to lead the Carolina backfield Week 4. Even if he suits up, McCaffrey almost certainly won't be at full strength, so he may not replicate his typical workload after racking up 60 total touches across the first three games of the season.
