  • James Conner RB | ARI

Cardinals' James Conner: Leading rusher against Carolina

Conner carried the ball 15 times for 55 yards and caught all three of his targets for 22 yards in Sunday's 26-16 win over the Panthers.

His scrimmage yards total was modest, but it was a season high for Conner. Eno Benjamin and Darrel Williams combined for 55 rushing yards on only nine carries, however, so while Conner remains the lead back for Arizona, his inefficiency could begin to cost him touches heading into a Week 5 matchup with the undefeated Eagles.

  • Aaron Jones RB | MIN

Packers' Aaron Jones: Tops 100 rushing yards

Jones rushed 16 times for 110 yards in Sunday's 27-24 overtime win over the Patriots. He also caught three of four targets for five yards.

Jones rebounded from a down Week 3 outing by being his usual dynamic self, averaging over 6.5 yards per carry for the third time in four games thus far. Despite garnering a season high in carries, though, teammate AJ Dillon still got one more than Jones on Sunday. While Dillon managed 84 scrimmage yards on his 18 total touches, Jones hit the 115-yard mark for the second time in the last three weeks. One of the league's most efficient playmakers, Jones will look to maintain his strong impact against the Giants in London next Sunday.

  • Nick Chubb RB | HOU

Browns' Nick Chubb: Continues to run wild

Chubb rushed 19 times for 118 yards and a touchdown while catching two of three targets for nine yards in Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Falcons.

The 5-foot-11, 237-pound Chubb punished Atlanta's undersized defense from start to finish, resulting in his third 100-plus yard performance through four weeks. The 26-year-old lost his top spot on the league rushing leaderboard to Saquon Barkley (463 rushing yards), but he is still sitting pretty with 459 rushing yards and five touchdowns through four games. Chubb should be heavily involved in the offensive game plan against the explosive Chargers next Sunday.

  • Ronald Jones RB | DAL

Chiefs' Ronald Jones: Won't suit up Sunday

Jones (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers.

Jones dealt with an illness ahead of Sunday's matchup but was a full participant during Friday's practice session. However, he'll be a healthy scratch for the primetime tilt against Tampa Bay.

  • Michael Carter RB | TEN

Jets' Michael Carter: Outplayed by Hall in Week 4

Carter rushed nine times for 15 yards and caught two of three targets for 14 yards in Sunday's 24-20 win over Pittsburgh.

Carter was far less effective on the ground than Breece Hall, who rushed 17 times for 66 yards and a touchdown. After mustering 100 scrimmage yards on the dot in the season opener, Carter has totaled 50 or fewer in each of the subsequent three games and has yet to find the end zone in 2022. Hall and Carter will continue to split carries in Week 5 against the Dolphins.

  • Breece Hall RB | NYJ

Jets' Breece Hall: Scores game-winning TD in Week 4

Hall rushed 17 times for 66 yards and a touchdown while catching two of six targets for 12 yards in Sunday's 24-20 win over the Steelers.

Hall was far more effective on the ground than Michael Carter, who mustered just 15 rushing yards on nine attempts. The rookie scored the game-winning touchdown in the final minute from two yards out. Hall was originally ruled short, but replays confirmed that he extended the ball across the plane of the goal line for his first career rushing touchdown. The Jets will continue to feed both running backs, but Hall's starting to separate himself as the team's top option on the ground heading into a Week 5 clash with the Dolphins.

  • Jaguars' Travis Etienne: Leads backfield with 32 yards

Etienne rushed eight times for 32 yards and failed to catch his lone target in Sunday's 29-21 loss to the Eagles.

The Jaguars got off to a quick 14-0 lead without giving Etienne a touch, but the positive game script resulted in only eight touches for both he and starter James Robinson. The blame for the lack of opportunities can be placed on quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who turned the ball over five times following the hot start. Both Etienne and Robinson have been splitting touches through four weeks, with the latter being the preferred fantasy option due to his usage in the red zone (three touchdowns to Etienne's zero). Etienne will run the risk of being labeled a fantasy bust if he can't get things going against Houston's last place rush defense next Sunday.

  • Broncos' Javonte Williams: Hurts knee Sunday

Williams exited Sunday's game at Las Vegas with a knee injury.

On the first play of the second half, Williams remained on the turf for a spell, and when he attempted to get off the field, he needed assistance from the training staff to get to the sideline. After an evaluation, he was carted to the locker room and quickly ruled out. The severity of Williams' injury is unclear, but Melvin Gordon will slide in as the Broncos' top running back for the rest of Week 4, with Mike Boone acting as the No. 2.

  • Jaguars' James Robinson: Bottled up on eight carries

Robinson rushed eight times for 29 yards and was not targeted in the passing game in a 29-21 loss to the Eagles.

Robinson split carries with Travis Etienne Jr. (eight carries for 32 yards), and neither back finished with a catch. Robinson has been the unexpected workhorse for Jacksonville early on, and this was his first dud of the season. However, Sunday's even touch distribution between both backs in a rough offensive showing may spark pessimism about Robinson's season-long outlook. Etienne hasn't done much to threaten Robinson's starting job, so the latter should still be considered the lead back heading into a favorable matchup against Houston next Sunday.

  • Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Possible high ankle sprain

The Colts fear that Taylor may have suffered a high ankle sprain during Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Titans, Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports.

Meanwhile, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network relays that the running back "will have tests imminently" to asses his ankle injury. When asked Sunday about his availability for Thursday night's game against Denver, Taylor noted "I'm not sure yet. We'll see how things happen tomorrow morning." If Taylor is out or limited in Week 5, Nyheim Hines and Deon Jackson could see added backfield work versus the Broncos, while Phillip Lindsay and D'Vonte Price are candidates to be elevated from the Colts' practice squad.
