Melvin Gordon RB | BAL
Broncos' Melvin Gordon: Struggles in Sunday's loss
Gordon carried the ball three times for eight yards and failed to catch his only target in Sunday's 32-23 loss to the Raiders.
Making his afternoon worse, the veteran running back coughed up a fumble in the second quarter that Amik Robertson returned 68 yards for a Las Vegas touchdown. Gordon's now committed four fumbles through four games, with Denver losing possession on two of them, but the team may have no choice but to give him a much bigger role in the coming weeks after Javonte Williams suffered what could be a serious knee injury Sunday. If Williams is sidelined, Gordon might take on a lead role or work in a timeshare with Mike Boone against the Colts in Week 5.

Javonte Williams RB | DAL
Broncos' Javonte Williams: Could face lengthy absence
Williams is believed to have suffered a serious right knee injury in Sunday's 32-23 loss to Vegas, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
An upcoming MRI on Williams' knee Monday should reveal more details regarding his injury, but the Broncos fear that he could be facing a lengthy absence. Melvin Gordon and Mike Boone would both be in line for additional touches in Williams' absence, with Gordon likely to take on the lead role in Denver's backfield. Williams needed crutches to leave the locker room after Sunday's loss.

Trestan Ebner RB | CHI
Bears' Trestan Ebner: Handles eight touches
Ebner rushed six times for 20 yards, and he caught two passes for eight yards in the Bears' 20-12 loss to the Giants on Sunday.
Ebner was the clear backup to Khalil Herbert with David Montgomery (ankle) inactive. Aside from an 11-yard run, Ebner failed to generate chunks of yardage with his limited work. He should retain a similar role in the offense until Montgomery returns to action.

Tyler Allgeier RB | ARI
Falcons' Tyler Allgeier: Eclipses 100 total yards in win
Allgeier rushed 10 times for 84 yards and caught his lone target for 20 yards in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Browns.
The Falcons went with a committee approach to their backfield Sunday, splitting carries between Allgeier (10), Caleb Huntley (10) and starter Cordarrelle Patterson (nine). The rookie did the most with his touches, but the other two backs scored a touchdown each. Patterson (knee) was banged up during practice this week, which could have resulted in the sudden shift in touch distribution. Allgeier will look to build upon the best game of his young career in a tough matchup against the Buccaneers next Sunday.

Rhamondre Stevenson RB | NE
Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Another productive day
Stevenson rushed 14 times for 66 yards and caught four of five targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 27-24 overtime loss to the Packers.
Stevenson and teammate Damien Harris both ran well Sunday, with the latter leading the team with 18 carries for 86 yards and a score. For his part, Stevenson topped 4.5 yards per rush for the third straight game, and with the help of a few catches, he's now surpassed 85 scrimmage yards in consecutive outings. Whether Mac Jones (ankle), Brian Hoyer (head) or rookie Bailey Zappe plays quarterback in Week 5 versus the Lions, Stevenson should remain a regular contributor out of the backfield.

Cordarrelle Patterson RB | PIT
Falcons' Cordarrelle Patterson: Scores on nine touches in win
Patterson (knee) started and finished with nine rushes for 38 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Browns.
Patterson was held out of practice this week with a knee injury, but he was ultimately cleared for action before kickoff as previously reported. The converted wide receiver finished with a strong fantasy game thanks to his third rushing score of the season. It is worth noting that Patterson fell behind Tyler Allgeier (10 carries for 84 yards) and Caleb Huntley (10 carries for 56 yards and a touchdown) in touches despite no reports of an injury after the game. A committee approach to the backfield would hurt the veteran's fantasy value, especially considering the lack of targets (four receptions for 28 yards) out of the backfield with Marcus Mariota under center so far this season. Patterson and Atlanta's rushing attack will face a stout Tampa Bay rushing defense next Sunday.

Christian McCaffrey RB | SF
Panthers' Christian McCaffrey: Catches TD pass in loss
McCaffrey carried the ball eight times for 27 yards and caught all nine of his targets for 81 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-16 loss to the Cardinals.
While he couldn't anything going on the ground, McCaffrey led the Panthers in catches and receiving yards while scoring the team's only offensive touchdown of the game on a 13-yard grab late in the fourth quarter. The 26-year-old has topped 100 scrimmage yards in three straight games heading into a tough Week 5 matchup with the 49ers.

Javonte Williams RB | DAL
Broncos' Javonte Williams: Spotted on crutches
Williams (knee) left the locker room on crutches after Sunday's 32-23 loss to the Raiders, and coach Nathaniel Hackett said the running back will have an MRI on Monday, Jeff Legwold of ESPN reports.
Williams injured his knee early in the second half, and he's likely to miss additional time considering he needed crutches to get around after the game. A more definitive timetable on Williams' recovery should emerge after the results of his MRI become known. Melvin Gordon figures to lead Denver's backfield in Williams' absence, though Gordon's continued fumbling issues have likely opened up an opportunity for Mike Boone to siphon off a sizable number of touches as well.

Damien Harris RB | BUF
Patriots' Damien Harris: Extends touchdown streak
Harris rushed 18 times for 86 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-24 overtime loss to the Packers. He also caught his only target for a loss of two yards.
Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson both enjoyed success on the ground, with the latter carrying 14 times for 66 yards. In leading New England's rushing attack, though, it was Harris who scored the team's lone touchdown out of the backfield, punching in a five-yarder to begin the fourth quarter. In doing so, the veteran has now scored in three straight games ahead of Week 5's matchup versus the Lions.

AJ Dillon RB | CAR
Packers' AJ Dillon: Season high on ground
Dillon rushed 17 times for 73 yards in Sunday's 27-24 overtime win over the Patriots. He also caught one of two targets for 11 yards.
Dillon gained steam over the course of Sunday's contest, ultimately finishing with a season high in rushing yards. His workload came while running mate Aaron Jones enjoyed another highly efficient outing, carrying 16 times for 110 yards. With the Packers now boasting three straight wins, expect both Dillon and Jones to continue garnering significant workloads as Green Bay travels to London to face the Giants in Week 5.
