Elijah Mitchell RB | PHI
49ers' Elijah Mitchell: Dealing with knee issue
Mitchell was forced out of Sunday's game against the Saints due to a knee injury.
Mitchell dealt with knee irritation during the stretch run of last season and also sat out Weeks 2-8 of this year due to an MCL sprain in his right knee. The current concern will keep him sidelined for the rest of Week 12, capping him at seven carries for 35 yards and two catches (on two targets) for eight yards. Jordan Mason will move up to No. 2 on the RB depth chart for the 49ers behind Christian McCaffrey for as long as Mitchell is sidelined.

Darrynton Evans RB | BUF
Bears' Darrynton Evans: Gets 10 touches in Week 12 loss
Evans rushed nine times for 34 yards and caught his only target for 33 yards in Sunday's 31-10 loss to the Jets.
Evans outraced C.J. Mosley around the corner for a 33-yard gain after catching a pass over the middle on Chicago's opening drive, but that was his only target, and the practice-squad elevation failed to get much going on the ground. After using Evans as the only change-of-pace option behind David Montgomery, the Bears will likely add Evans to the roster again for their Week 13 game against the Packers.

Dameon Pierce RB | PHI
Texans' Dameon Pierce: Low usage in Week 12 loss
Pierce rushed five times for eight yards and brought in three of six targets for eight yards in the Texans' 30-15 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.
The rookie saw disappointingly low usage for the second straight game, although the fact the Texans were down 30-0 at the half naturally played the biggest role in him being iced out of the offense. Pierce' s talent as both a runner and receiver is undeniable, but his attachment to a team with significant quarterback issues does him no favors. He'll look to break out of the two-game funk against the Browns in a Week 13 home matchup.

David Montgomery RB | HOU
Bears' David Montgomery: Gets 17 touches in loss
Montgomery rushed 14 times for 79 yards and caught three of four targets for 34 yards in Sunday's 31-10 loss to the Jets.
Montgomery helped set up a field goal on the opening drive with a 26-yard catch and run. That was his biggest play on this slick Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium, but Montgomery churned out hard yards throughout to keep a Bears offense playing without Justin Fields (shoulder) in manageable third downs. Regardless of Fields' status for Week 13 against the Packers, Montgomery will be in line for plenty of touches.

Rachaad White RB | WAS
Buccaneers' Rachaad White: Logs 23 touches in start
White rushed 14 times for 64 yards and secured all nine targets for 45 yards in the Buccaneers' 23-17 overtime loss to the Browns on Sunday.
White drew the start with Leonard Fournette (hip) out of action and delivered nicely as both a runner and receiver. The matchup on the ground wasn't as welcoming as it appeared on paper coming in, however, as White gained only 29 yards on 13 carries outside of a game-long 35-yard run. Nevertheless, the rookie's stellar work as a receiver led to a very productive fantasy day overall, as well as the second-highest reception tally on the Buccaneers for the day. Even if Fournette is able to suit up for a Week 13 Monday night home divisional matchup against the Saints, it's highly likely White fills the role of top back for that contest.

Zonovan Knight RB | ARI
Jets' Zonovan Knight: Tops 100 scrimmage yards in debut
Knight rushed 14 times for 69 yards and caught all three of his targets for 34 yards in Sunday's 31-10 win over the Broncos,
Signed from the practice squad Friday, Knight looked spry in his NFL debut. Coach Robert Saleh praised the undrafted rookie's hard running style, which was the reason he was used over James Robinson (coach's decision), per Zack Rosenblatt of the Athletic. Michael Carter sprained his ankle in the second half, leaving White and Ty Johnson -- who had 78 scrimmage yards and a touchdown on only six touches -- as the respective power and finesse options in the Jets' backfield. Both unheralded running backs will generate interest on the waiver wire as the likely top two options in New York's backfield in Week 13 against the Vikings, unless Robinson works his way back into the rotation.

Latavius Murray RB | BUF
Broncos' Latavius Murray: Just short of century mark
Murray rushed 13 times for 92 yards and caught his only target for six yards in Sunday's 23-10 loss to the Panthers.
Murray dominated the touches in Denver's backfield as the clear lead option in the aftermath of Melvin Gordon's release and Chase Edmonds' high ankle sprain, as Marlon Mack and Devine Ozigbo combined for two carries and two targets. The 32-year-old running back ripped off a 52-yard run in the second quarter, but a Russell Wilson fumble two plays later prevented Denver from getting points on the drive. While Murray has a high touch floor on the ground, Denver's collective struggles on offense and the veteran's limited involvement in the passing game cap Murray's upside heading into a Week 13 trip to Baltimore.

Chris Evans RB | CIN
Bengals' Chris Evans: Zero touches
Evans was held without a carry or catch in Sunday's win over the Titans.
More importantly, teammate Trayveon Williams did contribute offensively, with two carries and a catch. Evans also committed a bad penalty on a "pick" play in the first quarter, wiping out a big Tee Higgins catch-and-run.

Samaje Perine RB | CIN
Bengals' Samaje Perine: Carries load for Bengals
Perine had 17 carries for 58 yards and a touchdown along with four catches for 35 yards in Sunday's win over the Titans.
Perine's yards per carry (3.4) aren't very impressive, but he earned some very tough first downs in short-yardage situations and got stronger as the game progressed. He's unlikely to supplant Joe Mixon (concussion) when Mixon is ready to return, but he'll continue to earn opportunities to spell him at times.
