  • Austin Ekeler RB | WAS

Chargers' Austin Ekeler: Gets shoulder checked out

Head coach Brandon Staley said Monday that Ekeler had tests done on his shoulder, but they came back negative, Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Ekeler briefly left the field during the Chargers' first offensive possession of Week 15, but he quickly returned after getting checked on by trainers. He went on to rush 12 times for 58 yards and a score while securing two of three targets for 12 additional yards. Whatever shoulder issue Ekeler picked up early in Sunday's win over the Titans doesn't appear to be significant and shouldn't impact his availability moving forward, though the running back's participation at practice during Week 16 prep may provide further information on the situation.

  • Vikings' Alexander Mattison: Two touches in Week 15

Mattison rushed twice for one yard and wasn't targeted in Saturday's 39-36 overtime win over the Colts.

Minnesota didn't find many touches for Mattison while a healthy and effective Dalvin Cook played a key role in the team's historic comeback from a 33-point deficit. Cook totaled 190 yards from scrimmage and a TD on 21 touches. With the 49ers hot on Minnesota's heels for the No. 2 seed in the NFC, the Vikings many need to keep riding Cook through the remainder of the season, leaving Mattison stapled to the bench for the majority of snaps.

  • Kevin Harris RB | JAC

Patriots' Kevin Harris: Rushes for 19 yards Sunday

Harris carried five times for 19 yards in Sunday's 30-24 loss to the Raiders while logging seven of a possible 65 snaps on offense, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

With Damien Harris (thigh) out and Rhamondre Stevenson (43 snaps, 19 carries, two catches) working through an ankle issue, Pierre Strong (four carries, three catches) and Kevin Harris worked in complementary roles Sunday. Looking ahead, neither Strong nor Kevin Harris profile as high-percentage fantasy options down the stretch as long as Stevenson and/or Damien Harris are available.

  • Snoop Conner RB | DAL

Jaguars' Snoop Conner: One rush in win

Conner carried once for three yards during Sunday's 40-34 overtime win against the Cowboys.

The rookie fifth-round pick played only three offensive snaps as he was on the field for a quick series in the third quarter. Conner is entrenched as Jacksonville's No. 3 tailback behind Travis Etienne and JaMycal Hasty.

  • Jaguars' JaMycal Hasty: Two touches in OT win

Hasty had one carry for 13 yards and caught his lone target for two yards during Sunday's 40-34 overtime win over the Cowboys.

Hasty played 23 percent of the offensive snaps but was minimally involved in the offense. The 26-year-old will continue to work as Jacksonville's No. 2 tailback while Travis Etienne is in good health.

  • Avery Williams RB | NYJ

Falcons' Avery Williams: Catches two passes in loss

Williams had zero carries but caught both of targets for 10 yards during Sunday's 21-18 loss to the Saints.

Caleb Huntley (ankle) played just two snaps before leaving the game in the first half, which opened up a few more opportunities for Williams, who played 10 offensive snaps and caught multiple passes for the third time this season. However, even if Huntley misses extended time, Williams likely remains irrelevant in fantasy as long as Tyler Allgeier and Cordarrelle Patterson are available.

  • Zonovan Knight RB | ARI

Jets' Zonovan Knight: Chance to play Thursday

Knight (ankle) could play Thursday versus the Jaguars, Ethan B. Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports.

Knight is dealing with an ankle injury sustained during Sunday's loss to the Lions, in which he carried the ball 13 times for 23 yards and wasn't targeted. The undrafted rookie may have to practice as at least a limited participant prior to Thursday's contest to have any chance of suiting up. If he does play but is still hampered by the ankle issue, Knight may end up splitting touches with Michael Carter.

  • Jaylen Warren RB | PIT

Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Reaches end zone against Carolina

Warren rushed 11 times for 38 yards and a touchdown while securing his lone target for 11 yards during the Steelers' 24-16 win over the Panthers on Sunday.

Warren had been limited to 55 yards from scrimmage over his prior three games, but he bounced back with a solid performance in Carolina that included his first touchdown of the season. The 24-year-old rookie has been inconsistent while working behind Najee Harris, but Warren has rushed 53 times for 244 yards and a touchdown while securing 21 of 24 targets for 178 yards on the season.

  • Deon Jackson RB | DET

Colts' Deon Jackson: Should get larger role sans Taylor

Jackson and Zack Moss are expected to serve as the Colts' primary options out of the backfield for the final three games of the season with Jonathan Taylor considered unlikely to suit up again after suffering a high-ankle sprain in Saturday's 39-36 overtime loss to the Vikings, Matt Adams and Mike Chappell of Fox 59 Indianapolis report.

Taylor played just two snaps Saturday before exiting the contest with what will likely end up being a season-ending injury, and the Colts were able to find plenty of work for both Jackson and Moss while the team held a double-digit lead for more than three quarters before the Vikings completed an improbable and historic comeback. Moss (24 carries for 81 yards) ended up leading the way, but Jackson (13 carries for 55 yards plus a one-yard touchdown reception) was more efficient with his opportunities. The Colts aren't likely to have the luxury of dishing out 37 carries again in 2022, so both backs could see their volume take a hit beginning with next Monday's game against the Chargers. Even so, the absence of Taylor still puts both backs on the fantasy radar, despite the uncertainty of how the workload may be divided. Jackson, who had a 10-reception game back in Week 6 against the Jaguars when Taylor was previously sidelined, likely offers more upside in the pass-catching department of the two backs, though Moss isn't a total zero in that area.

  • Zack Moss RB | CIN

Colts' Zack Moss: Larger role awaits

Moss and Deon Jackson are expected to serve as the Colts' primary options out of the backfield for the final three games of the season with Jonathan Taylor considered unlikely to suit up again after suffering a high-ankle sprain in Saturday's 39-36 overtime loss to the Vikings, Matt Adams and Mike Chappell of Fox 59 Indianapolis report.

When Taylor departed after playing just two snaps in Saturday's contest, Moss operated as the Colts' clear lead ball carrier, toting the rock 24 times for 81 yards. Jackson still was highly involved in his own right, taking 13 carries for 55 yards and hauling in his lone target for a one-yard touchdown. The Colts built a 33-point halftime lead Saturday before suffering the biggest collapse in NFL history, so 37 carries between their top two backs likely won't be sustainable volume over the final three weeks as they may not see a lead that big again. Based on their usage against the Vikings, Moss looks like option 1A on the ground heading into the Colts' Week 16 matchup with the Chargers, with Jackson handling more of the passing-down work.
