Jameis Winston QB | NYG
Saints' Jameis Winston: Active in Week 3
Winston (back/ankle) is active for Sunday's game at Carolina, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Winston has suffered injuries in both contests this season, including four small fractures in his back Week 1 in Atlanta and an ankle issue last Sunday against the Buccaneers. Predictably, he was limited at practice Wednesday through Friday, but he'll continue to gut through what's deemed to be a "painful" issue, per Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com. On the campaign, Winston has completed 65 percent of his passes for 505 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions.

Zach Wilson QB | NO
Jets' Zach Wilson: Trending toward Week 4 return
Wilson, who continues to progress in his recovery from a meniscus injury and bone bruise in his knee, is expected to be cleared by doctors next week, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
If that's the case, the QB -- who is ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bengals -- would presumably be on track to return to action in Week 4 against the Steelers. In Wilson's ongoing absence, Joe Flacco is slated to continue filling in as the Jets' starting signal caller.

Justin Herbert QB | LAC
Chargers' Justin Herbert: Week 3 status TBD
Herbert is expected to make a decision during pregame warm-ups ahead of Sunday's 4:05 ET kickoff about whether to take a pain-killing injection in his fractured rib cartilage in order to try and play against the Jaguars in Week 3, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Both Schefter and Mike Garafolo of NFL Network suggest that the QB is pushing to play, but at this stage Herbert profiles as a true game-time decision and fantasy managers considering him in Week 3 lineups are advised to have a contingency plan in mind. If Herbert is unable to start Sunday, Chase Daniel would draw the assignment in his place.

Saints' Jameis Winston: Expected to face Panthers
Winston (back/ankle) is expected to suit up for Sunday's game against Carolina, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Winston played through fractures in his back during the Saints' loss against the Buccaneers in Week 2, and he's expected to suit up again despite now also nursing an ankle issue. The quarterback practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday through Friday, and Winston is now expected to avoid an appearance on New Orleans' inactive list, which will be released ahead of Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

Justin Herbert QB | LAC
Chargers' Justin Herbert: Game-time decision for Week 3
Herbert (ribs), who's listed as questionable, will likely be a game-time decision ahead of Sunday's matchup against Jacksonville, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Herbert didn't practice Friday after being limited Wednesday and Thursday, but as expected, the team will put him through a workout during pregame ahead of Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff before determining his status for Week 3. If Herbert is sidelined, Chase Daniel would draw the start in his place.

Jeff Driskel QB | WAS
Jeff Driskel: Won't play at Chicago
Houston won't elevate Driskel from its practice squad for Week 3, Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle reports.
It was previously reported by ProFootballNetwork.com's Aaron Wilson that the Texans were expected to elevate Driskel from their practice squad for Sunday's game at the Bears, but they'll instead roll with just starter Davis Mills and backup Kyle Allen. Driskel is eligible to be elevated from the practice squad one more time this season before he would need to be signed to the team's active roster in order to play.

Jeff Driskel QB | WAS
Texans' Jeff Driskel: Expected to be active Sunday
Houston plans to elevate Driskel from its practice squad Saturday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
It would be the third consecutive week Driskel is active for the Texans and the last time he'd be eligible to be elevated from the practice squad before he would have to be signed to the team's active roster in order to suit up. He's played just four snaps through two weeks this year.

Tyrod Taylor QB | GB
Giants' Tyrod Taylor: Misses practice Saturday
Taylor was absent from Saturday's practice due to a personal issue, but he's expected to be ready to play in Monday's Week 3 matchup against Dallas, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
Taylor has yet to take a snap this season, but he's the clear-cut backup to starter Daniel Jones. With the Giants off to a 2-0 start, Jones' job security is relatively secure, so it would take an injury or a drastic dropoff in Jones' play for Taylor to gain fantasy relevance.

Justin Herbert QB | LAC
Chargers' Justin Herbert: Questionable for Week 3
Herbert (ribs) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jaguars after sitting out Friday's practice.
Per Daniel Popper of The Athletic, Herbert indicated that the plan is for him to work out before Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET contest before a determination is made on his Week 3 status. If Herbert is unable to start against Jacksonville, Chase Daniel would draw the assignment in his place.

Jameis Winston QB | NYG
Saints' Jameis Winston: Officially questionable
Winston (back/ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Carolina, Luke Johnson of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Winston played through the back injury last week, though not particularly well, in a 20-10 loss to Tampa Bay. He'll likely play again even after adding an ankle issue, but fantasy managers should consider that he may not be at his best while dealing with four small fractures in his back and now a minor lower-body injury as well. Winston was a limited practice participant Wednesday through Friday.
