Herbert isn't in line to play in Saturday's preseason game against the Rams, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.

Nearly three weeks after inking a five-year, $262.5 million extension with the Chargers, Herbert unsurprisingly won't put anything on the line in the team's exhibition opener. With the change at offensive coordinator from Joe Lombardi to Kellen Moore, though, L.A. likely will do its due diligence and get the first-team offense some snaps together before Week 1. Herbert's next chance for game action is Sunday, Aug. 20 versus the Saints.

Morgan completed five of eight pass attempts for 36 yards, no touchdowns and an interception while rushing twice for minus-1 yard during Friday's 27-17 preseason win over the Buccaneers.

Morgan joined the Steelers as an undrafted free agent during the offseason after five seasons at Minnesota. He was the last quarterback to see the field for Pittsburgh on Friday, and he had limited production. The Steelers also have Kenny Pickett, Mitch Trubisky and Mason Rudolph returning for 2023, so Morgan seems like a long shot to make the team's 53-man roster.

Wilson completed 14 of 20 passes for 123 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 27-0 win over Carolina. He added one rushing attempt for two yards.

Wilson delivered a decent performance while playing the entire first half. He spent the first two drives surrounded by the majority of New York's starters, with the notable exceptions of top wide receiver Garrett Wilson (ankle) and running back Breece Hall (knee). Wilson's touchdown pass came in the final seconds of the first half, as he found reserve tight end Kenny Yeboah from two yards out. The 24-year-old quarterback figures to see plenty of action over the Jets' two remaining preseason games before settling in as the backup to offseason addition Aaron Rodgers come the regular season.

Rudolph completed seven of 12 pass attempts for 132 yards and a touchdown while rushing twice for 15 yards during Friday's 27-17 preseason win over the Buccaneers.

Starting quarterback Kenny Pickett completed six of his seven pass attempts during Friday's matchup, and although Rudolph was less efficient, he led the Steelers' four quarterbacks in passing yards and had the longest pass of the game, a 67-yard touchdown pass to Calvin Austin in the third quarter. Rudolph isn't in the mix for the starting job ahead of the 2023 campaign, but it's possible he challenges Mitch Trubisky for the No. 2 job if he continues to impress during the preseason.

Young completed four of six passes for 21 yards in Saturday's 27-0 preseason loss to the Jets.

Young didn't show much in his NFL debut, but Matt Corral didn't fare any better over the remainder of the game upon replacing Young after three drives. The first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft could see more extensive action in the team's second preseason game against the Giants, as Young and the rest of Carolina's new-look first-team offense try to gain confidence and chemistry ahead of the regular season.

Richardson made his first career start in Saturday's preseason opener against the Bills. The rookie completed seven of his 12 pass attempts for 67 yards and rushed twice for seven yards with no touchdowns and one interception.

Richardson's first taste of NFL action produced mixed results. Immediately after completing his first two pass attempts, the No. 4 overall pick airmailed his target running a short route and was intercepted with ease. It's not fair to criticize a 21-year-old in his first start in a tough road environment against a Bills defense boosted by the healthy return of safety Damar Hamlin. Richardson was able to settle in after the pick and even showed some touch on a high-arcing pass that was nearly caught for a touchdown. While he got the start in Saturday's contest over veteran Gardner Minshew (6-for-6 for 72 yards), the Colts have yet to announce a starter for the regular season. Richardson will get a chance to showcase his skills in his first home exhibition against the Bears next Saturday.

Trubisky completed one of four pass attempts for 10 yards, no touchdowns and an interception during Friday's 27-17 preseason win over Tampa Bay.

Although Trubisky lost his starting job with the Steelers early in the 2023 campaign, he landed a two-year contract extension with the team during the offseason. Kenny Pickett is the clear top starting option for the Steelers ahead of the regular season, so Trubisky's performances don't carry as much weight this preseason. However, Pittsburgh also has Mason Rudolph and Tanner Morgan in the quarterback room, and it's possible one of them challenges Trubisky for the No. 2 job if he continues to struggle.

Hurts isn't slated to play in Saturday's preseason game at Baltimore, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

While Hurts was suited up for pregame warmups, he and the rest of the Eagles starters won't be available for the team's exhibition opener. With Hurts sidelined, Marcus Mariota, Ian Book and Tanner McKee are the options to man quarterback for Philadelphia. Hurts' next chance for game action will arrive this coming Thursday against the Browns.

Taylor completed three of four pass attempts for seven yards in Friday's exhibition loss to Detroit. He added two rushes for seven yards.

Taylor started the contest for New York and played on two drives before giving way to Tommy DeVito, who took the remainder of the snaps behind center. Taylor's biggest play was a 13-yard completion to Isaiah Hodgins that helped set up a Graham Gano field goal. The veteran quarterback is expected to back up starter Daniel Jones for the second straight season.

Levis completed nine of 14 pass attempts for 85 yards and one interception in Tennessee's preseason game against Chicago on Saturday.

Levis played off the bench while Malik Willis started, but the two went on to rotate between several series at a time. Preseason rarely offers conclusive insights and this game is no exception, so it's probably best not to read into the results too much. With that said, it seems Levis fared a little more poorly than Willis, who completed 16 of 25 pass attempts for 189 yards and one interception while adding 22 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Both quarterbacks badly struggled with managing the pass rush, yet Willis' four sacks versus 25 pass attempts doesn't look quite as bad as Levis' four sacks versus 14 pass attempts. The competition to back up Ryan Tannehill figures to go on between Levis and Willis for some time.
