The Raiders have optimism that Garoppolo will clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol in time to play this Sunday against the Chargers, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

Though he was able take every snap on offense in the Raiders' 23-18 loss to Pittsburgh this past weekend, Garoppolo was diagnosed with a concussion following the contest, with the injury likely stemming from a helmet-to-helmet hit he took from the Steelers' Minkah Fitzpatrick. Las Vegas will release its first Week 4 practice report later Wednesday, when it will be known whether Garoppolo made enough progress in his recovery from the concussion to practice in at least a limited fashion. If Garoppolo fails to clear the protocol prior to the weekend or is available only as an emergency backup if he fails to log enough practice reps in advance of the game, veteran Brian Hoyer would likely serve as Las Vegas' starting quarterback versus the Chargers.

The Jets signed Siemian to their practice squad Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

As Zach Wilson continues to struggle, it seems possible that the Jets will opt to make a change at quarterback in the near future. Siemian was serviceable in two games with Chicago last season, averaging 7.1 yards per attempt.

Sinnett reverted to the Bengals' practice squad Tuesday.

Sinnett was elevated to the active roster prior to Monday's 19-16 win over the Rams, but he ultimately failed to log a snap while serving as the team's third quarterback behind Joe Burrow and Jake Browning. The 26-year-old could end up being let go in the near future considering Joe Burrow (calf) is getting closer to full strength.

The Saints signed Luton off the Panthers' practice squad Tuesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

Luton will likely operate as the team's No. 2 quarterback Sunday against the Buccaneers with Jake Haener still serving a six-game suspension and Derek Carr expected to be out with a shoulder injury. The Oregon State product spent time with New Orleans in 2022 and should be familiar with the offense, making him a viable emergency option for the franchise.

Allen saw action for the second straight week, playing 11 snaps in Buffalo's 37-3 win over Washington in Week 3. He did not attempt a pass and rushed twice for minus-2 yards.

The score indicates exactly why Allen was in there -- for the second game in a row the Bills blew out their opponent and used the fourth quarter to keep franchise quarterback Josh Allen in one piece. What's not shown in the stats is that Kyle Allen actually led the Bills to their final touchdown drive, mostly by handing the ball off to his teammates and letting them continue to run over the Washington D. Kyle Allen does have value if Josh were ever to miss a few games, given the firepower the team has on offense.

The Jets are expected to sign Siemian to their practice squad, pending the quarterback passing a physical, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

The transaction isn't official yet, but if it happens, Siemian will be the first outside addition to the Jets' QB room following the loss of Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) for the season. Currently the team is rolling with Zach Wilson as its starter and Tim Boyle as the No. 2 option.

Burrow (calf) completed 26 of 49 pass attempts for 259 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Monday's 19-16 win over the Rams.

Burrow was able to power through his lingering calf injury in order to help Cincinnati earn its first victory of the 2023 campaign. The star quarterback was clearly not at full strength, making several errant throws and showing limited mobility in the pocket. The end result was another pedestrian fantasy line for a player who sat near the top of all passing categories over the last two seasons. On the bright side, Burrow confirmed to Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic that he did not suffer any setbacks to his calf in a post-game interview following Monday's victory. The best hope for the quarterback's fantasy managers at this point is that he continues to inch closer to full strength as the season progresses. Assuming Burrow gets through this week's practice unscathed, he should be back under center for the Bengals in a tough road matchup against the Titans next Sunday.

Stafford completed 18 of 33 pass attempts for 269 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions during Monday's 19-16 loss to the Bengals, while rushing once for seven yards.

Two of the Rams' offensive linemen, Alaric Jackson (thigh) and Joe Noteboom (knee), both went down with injuries during Monday's showdown, and as a result the veteran quarterback was the recipient of six sacks and was under constant duress for the duration of the contest. A late one-yard toss to Tutu Atwell helped Stafford avoid going without a touchdown pass in two of his first three contests of the year, a small consolation prize to fantasy managers who gambled on what looked to be a high-octane Rams pass attack. A beatable Colts defense is up next for the Rams in Week 4, but if Jackson and Noteboom were to miss time, it could be another tough outing for Stafford.

Mayfield completed 15 of 25 passes for 146 yards with one touchdown and one interception in the Buccaneers' 25-11 loss to the Eagles on Monday night. He also rushed once for two yards and committed a fumble recovered by Tampa Bay.

Mayfield found life much more difficult than during the first two games of his Buccaneers starting tenure, as he was sacked twice and also committed his first turnover of the campaign. The veteran signal-caller found favorite target Mike Evans for his one touchdown pass of the evening, but no other pass catcher surpassed three receptions or 32 yards. Mayfield averaged a meager 5.8 yards per attempt as well, and he'll likely have an uphill battle trying to bounce back in a Week 4 road matchup against the similarly tough Saints defense.

Hurts completed 23 of 37 passes for 277 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Monday's 25-11 win over the Buccaneers. He added 10 rushing attempts for 28 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Hurts got almost half of his yardage throwing to A.J. Brown (nine catches for 131 yards), but he also made two key throws to Olamide Zaccheaus on Philadelphia's first touchdown drive, as they connected for a 24-yard gain followed by a 34-yard touchdown three plays later to take a 10-3 lead in the second quarter. After being stuffed on a third-down quarterback sneak from the one-yard line in the third quarter, Hurts tried again on fourth down to produce his third rushing touchdown through three games. He was also picked off twice and has a pedestrian 3:3 TD:INT through the air after posting a 22:6 TD:INT in 2022. Having led Philadelphia to a 3-0 record despite throwing for just 640 yards, Hurts next will set his sights on avenging last season's home loss to the Commanders in a Week 4 rematch.
