Jimmy Garoppolo QB | LAR
Patriots' Jimmy Garoppolo: Sustains AC joint sprain Sunday
According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, Garoppolo sustained an AC joint sprain in his right throwing shoulder Sunday against the Dolphins. The Patriots hope that Garoppolo will return in Week 4 versus the Bills.
Garoppolo was driven into the turf of Gillette Stadium and remained there for some time after the second-quarter hit. While a one-week hiatus is far more optimistic than the six weeks mentioned by Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald, the Patriots will likely remain mum with Garoppolo's status until a decision must be made. In any event, Garoppolo will be hard-pressed to take the field with the Patriots' next outing arriving Thursday against the Texans. If status quo reigns this week, Jacoby Brissett will helm the offense in Week 3, but a veteran QB addition is a near certainty in the next day or two.

Case Keenum QB | CHI
Rams' Case Keenum: Leads Rams to victory over Seattle
Keenum completed 18-of-30 passes for 239 yards and added three rushes for five yards in Sunday's win over Seattle.
Keenum did what he needed to do Sunday, managing the game and not messing up what was an extraordinary performance by the Rams' defense. However, managing a game doesn't necessarily equate well with fantasy production, and with Jared Goff questions looming around every corner, Keenum's time as a starter seems to be numbered. It would be wise to avoid him in standard fantasy formats.

Russell Wilson QB | NYG
Seahawks' Russell Wilson: Throws for 254 yards in loss to Rams
Wilson (ankle) completed 22 of 35 passes for 254 yards and added five rushes for 14 yards in Sunday's loss to the Rams.
Wilson was clearly limited by his high-ankle sprain, and his inept offensive line did him no favors. With Wilson no longer a threat in the read-option, the Rams pounded the tackle box to stop the Seattle running game. Without a running game, Wilson was left to shoulder the offensive burden, which proved too much. What's more, receivers Doug Baldwin and Tyler Lockett were injured, as was running back Thomas Rawls. The Seahawks' offense is a mess heading into a Week 3 matchup against the 49ers.

Marcus Mariota QB | WAS
Titans' Marcus Mariota: Orchestrates comeback with two touchdowns against Lions
Mariota completed 25 of 33 passes for 238 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in Sunday's 16-15 comeback win over the Lions. He also added 11 rushing yards on two carries.
Mariota was held to just 81 passing yards in the first half, but turned things around as the Titans came back from a 15-3 deficit. The second-year quarterback demonstrated improved decision-making in leading a methodical 93-yard game-winning drive that culminated with a nine-yard touchdown pass to Andre Johnson with 1:13 left. He has been quiet with his feet after flashing deceptively good speed and instincts as a rookie, but has topped 230 passing yards in both of his 2016 games after doing so in only half of his 12 starts last season.

Ryan Tannehill QB | TEN
Dolphins' Ryan Tannehill: Explodes for 392 yards in Week 2 loss
Tannehill completed 32 of 45 passes for 389 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's 31-24 loss to the Patriots. He also gained 35 yards on six rushes and lost a fumble but recovered.
Although his final stat line was impressive, it belied the extremely cold start Tannehill had on the afternoon. He failed to complete a pass until the second quarter, which played a key role in a 24-3 halftime deficit for the Dolphins. Tannehill began to find his rhythm in the third quarter, connecting with Kenny Stills for a 24-yard score and then coming back in the final period for a 12-yard touchdown strike to Jordan Cameron. In all, he completed 20 of first 21 pass attempts in the second half, but was intercepted in the end zone on a last-gasp heave on fourth down at the Patriots' 29-yard line with two seconds remaining. While his overall numbers and the fact that he found Jarvis Landry a total of 10 times on the afternoon were certainly encouraging, Tannehill and the Dolphins are already in the hot seat heading into their home opener against the Browns in Week 3.

Andy Dalton QB | PHI
Bengals' Andy Dalton: Throws for 366 yards in loss
Dalton completed 31 of 54 pass attempts for 366 yards and one touchdown in the Bengals' Week 2 loss to the Steelers. He also carried twice for seven yards.
The 54 pass attempts represent a career-high for Dalton, though his 57.4 percent completion rate was well below his career average. Receiver A.J. Green didn't do him many favors, though, as the All-Pro wideout secured just two of eight targets sent his way. Fortunately, rookie Tyler Boyd seems to be emerging as a legitimate weapon for Dalton, which could prove very beneficial for Dalton's stat lines moving forward. Up next is a matchup against a formidable Broncos defense Week 3.

Blaine Gabbert QB | KC
49ers' Blaine Gabbert: Notches three total touchdowns in loss Sunday
Gabbert completed 17 of 36 passes for 243 yards to go along with a pair of both touchdowns and interceptions during Sunday's loss to the Panthers. He also added 10 yards and a score in three attempts on the ground.
Gabbert whipped the ball around the field often Sunday, finding nine different pass-catchers throughout the contest. His stats were padded by a 75-yard touchdown throw to tight end Vance McDonald, but the 49ers were ultimately unsuccessful in their comeback attempt after trailing 31-10 heading into the fourth quarter. Gabbert will have his hands full once again next week against the talented Seattle defense, making him quite a risky fantasy play.

Jimmy Garoppolo QB | LAR
Patriots' Jimmy Garoppolo: Could miss time with shoulder injury
Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald relays that the "early indication" is that Garoppolo's right shoulder injury could take take six weeks to heal.
Per the report, Garoppolo is still "undergoing (a) full battery of tests," but it looks very much like Jacoby Brissett will start Thursday's game against the Texans, with the Patriots acutely in need of QB depth, given that Tom Brady (suspension) is not eligible to return to action until Week 5.
-
Kirk Cousins QB | LV
Redskins' Kirk Cousins: Crucial turnover Sunday mars productive game
Cousins completed 28 of 46 passes for 364 yards, a touchdown and an interception in Sunday's loss to the Cowboys. He added 20 rushing yards on two carries.
Cousins was productive Sunday and moved the ball effectively, but he committed a monumental error at the end of the third quarter when he was picked off in the end zone after throwing into quadruple coverage. He was also part of a botched snap that cost the Redskins a 10-second runoff on the final drive of the game, leaving just eight seconds off the clock, and he launched the ensuing Hail Mary out of the end zone to conclude the game. Cousins has piled up 695 yards through the air through two games, but his 1:3 touchdown:turnover rate and the crucial mistakes have left some things to be desired. He will look to turn things around in Week 3 versus the Giants.

Jacoby Brissett QB | ARI
Patriots' Jacoby Brissett: Fills in for Garoppolo
Brissett, who took over for Jimmy Garoppolo -- who suffered a shoulder injury with 4:02 remaining in the second quarter of Sunday's 31-24 win over the Dolphins -- completed six of nine passes for 92 yards in the contest.
With Tom Brady still suspended and the Patriots playing again on Thursday against the Texans, there's a distinct possibility that Brissett -- who the Patriots took in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft -- will be the Patriots' Week 3 starter at QB. In such a scenario, it's not hard to imagine the team rolling with run-heavy attack, with Brissett representing a speculative fantasy play, in any case.
