Tyrod Taylor QB | GB
Bills' Tyrod Taylor: Will start if healthy
Bills head coach Sean McDermott said Monday that Taylor will remain the team's starting quarterback if he's healthy enough to play, adding that Taylor is day-to-day with a patella tendon contusion in his left knee, Jay Skurski of The Buffalo News reports.
Taylor avoided major ligament damage but nonetheless may be dealing with significant pain. The decision to label him day-to-day doesn't mean much, as McDermott has used that terminology liberally all season, including with players that don't have any shot to make it back for the next game. Taylor completed nine of 18 passes for 65 yards, no touchdowns and an interception in Sunday's 23-3 loss to the Patriots, but he was much better the previous two weeks, and Nathan Peterman's five-interception calamity is still fresh in everyone's minds. With the Bills still right in the thick of the wild-card hunt, Taylor will start against the Colts on Sunday if he's healthy enough to do so.

Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT
Packers' Aaron Rodgers: Set for scout team work this week
Rodgers (collarbone) is slated to serve as the Packers' scout team quarterback in practice this week, Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports.
The team is terming it as a "trial practice week" for Rodgers, who was designated to return from injured reserve Saturday, thereby opening a 21-day window through which the Packers can evaluate him in practice. Even if Rodgers' right shoulder responds well to the added stress the next two weeks, he'll still need to receive medical clearance in order to play Week 15 against the Panthers, when he's first eligible to return from injured reserve. Brett Hundley will continue to start Sunday in Cleveland as the 6-6 Packers look to stick in the thick of the NFC wild-card race.

Matthew Stafford QB | LAR
Lions' Matthew Stafford: Bothered by bruising in hand
Stafford's right hand isn't broken, but it is very sore and badly bruised, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
Given that X-rays came back negative, this wouldn't be much of a concern if it were an issue with Stafford's left hand. Unfortunately for the Lions, the injury is in the worst place possible for a quarterback, leaving Stafford's availability in question for Week 14 in Tampa Bay. Head coach Jim Caldwell said he isn't yet sure how the bruising will impact Stafford's ability to throw. Reports from practice will need to be watched closely this week, though it's possible the Lions try to hide Stafford from the media in an effort to limit their opponent's information. The team's 2016 sixth-round pick, Jake Rudock, is the team's backup quarterback, and his presence under center would necessitate a major downgrade for all of Detroit's pass catchers. Rudock got his first NFL regular-season action at the end of Sunday's 44-20 loss to the Ravens, completing three of five passes for 24 yards and throwing an ugly pick-six.

Derek Carr QB | NO
Raiders' Derek Carr: Good enough to win Sunday
Carr completed 22 of 36 pass attempts for 287 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-17 victory over the Giants. He lost one yard on his lone rush.
Missing his top two receiving weapons, Carr started out slowly, completing just one pass in the first quarter and finishing the half with just 80 passing yards. He mixed in two near-interceptions along the way but rebounded to lead two scoring drives in the fourth quarter en route to victory. Despite not being at the top of his game, the 26-year-old threw for his highest yardage total since the Raiders' Week 10 bye. Carr has promising matchups on deck, facing Kansas City in Week 14 followed by Dallas in Week 15.

Russell Wilson QB | NYG
Seahawks' Russell Wilson: Carries Seahawks past Eagles
Wilson completed 20 of 31 passes for 227 yards and three touchdowns during Sunday's 24-10 victory over the Eagles. He added 31 rushing yards on six carries.
Wilson continues to bolster his bid for MVP consideration by putting the Seahawks offense on his back time and again. His mobility is the name of the game and was a particularly important aspect of his performance Sunday since Seattle entered the game as one of Pro Football Focus' lowest-graded teams in terms of pass blocking, while the Eagles came in as the top-graded defense in terms of pass-rush effectiveness. As matchup-proof as they come, Wilson will proceed into Week 14 to face the Jaguars' league-best pass defense.
-
Geno Smith QB | NYJ
Giants' Geno Smith: Unimpressive in debut
Smith completed 21 of 34 pass attempts for 212 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-17 loss to Oakland. He also lost two fumbles and added 13 rushing yards on three attempts.
Starting in lieu of Eli Manning, Smith compiled only one drive of more than five plays and lost both fumbles in the first half. The third quarter was more of the same before he was able to lead two scoring drives in the fourth while trailing by 10. Even if the West Virginia product keeps the starting job going forward, he is not a dependable fantasy option outside of two-quarterback leagues despite another nice matchup against Dallas in Week 14.
-
Jared Goff QB | DET
Rams' Jared Goff: Tosses two scores
Goff completed 21 of 31 passes for 220 yards, two touchdowns and one interception during Sunday's 32-16 victory over the Cardinals.
Goff wasn't able to repeat the fantastic performance he had last week against the Saints but still churned out a respectable fantasy outing. His favorite target ended up being running back Todd Gurley due to the Cardinals' decent pass coverage, while his pair of scores were one- and 11-yard strikes to tight end Gerald Everett and receiver Sammy Watkins, respectively. Although it wasn't another dominant offensive showing for the Rams, Goff and company didn't need to do a whole lot given the big plays Los Angeles made on defense and special teams. The ascending signal caller will likely be asked to air it out a little more in Week 14 when the Eagles come to town.

Blaine Gabbert QB | KC
Cardinals' Blaine Gabbert: Keeping job despite ugly game
Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said Gabbert will get another start Week 14 against the Titans, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Gabbert didn't make the best case for himself in Sunday's 32-16 loss to the Rams, completing 18 of 32 passes for 221 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. He also took six sacks, but there's little reason to think Drew Stanton would've fared any better against a Rams defense that excels at defending the pass. With Carson Palmer (arm) unlikely to return this season and Stanton proven to be no better than a decent backup, Gabbert may get the chance to work his way through late-season struggles, particularly now that the Cardinals don't have a realistic chance to make the playoffs. He'll get a much more favorable matchup in Week 14 when he returns to Arizona to face a Titans defense that just allowed Houston's Tom Savage to throw for 365 yards.
-
Case Keenum QB | CHI
Vikings' Case Keenum: Throws two scores versus Falcons
Keenum completed 25 of 30 passes for 227 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's 14-9 win over the Falcons.
Keenum completed an impressive 83 percent of his passes while connecting with nine different receivers. He connected with Jerick McKinnon on a two-yard touchdown in the second quarter and hit Kyle Rudolph for a six-yard score in the fourth. Keenum is in excellent form over the last five weeks, averaging 276.2 yards per game with 12 total touchdowns compared to three turnovers. His stellar play has earned him a bit of job security, as Mike Zimmer stated that he'll start against the Panthers next week despite Teddy Bridgewater's availability, according to Chris Thompson of the St. Paul Pioneer-Express.
-
Nathan Peterman QB | ATL
Bills' Nathan Peterman: Sees emergency duty in loss
Peterman entered Sunday's 23-3 loss to the Patriots early in the fourth quarter in relief of Tyrod Taylor (knee) and completed six of 15 passes for 50 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. He also gained nine yards on his sole rush.
Peterman looked downright serviceable in comparison to his disastrous one-half stint as a starter in Week 11 versus the Chargers, a game in which he threw five interceptions on 14 pass attempts before getting the hook. The 23-year-old averaged only 3.3 yards per attempt Sunday, but his opportunities came with the Bills facing a sizable deficit in the fourth quarter and the Patriots focusing on defending the pass. Depending on Taylor's health, Peterman could find himself under center again in Week 14 against the vulnerable Colts defense.
