Even if Mariota takes the field Sunday he could be limited in such a scenario. It's thus conceivable that the team relies more on Gabbert, with a depleted offensive line to contend with. Neither are high-percentage fantasy plays in Week 2, given the lack of clarity with regard to the duo's playing time.

There's been talk that both Mariota and Blaine Gabbert could see action Sunday. Given that muddled context, in addition to reports that Mariota is having issues gripping the football, the QB looks like a very risky fantasy roll in Week 2 despite being in uniform.

Rodgers (knee) is active for Sunday's game versus the Vikings, Jason Wahlers of the Packers' official site reports.

In the wake of his season-opening left knee injury, Rodgers was a member of the rehab group all week and didn't take the practice field until Saturday. During said session, though, he impressed the team enough to give him the all-clear to play through what Adam Schefter of ESPN called a "compression injury from blunt force while bent." Expect Rodgers' mobility to be compromised, which likely means the Packers will employ a quick-strike game plan to keep him out of harm's way.

Mariota (elbow) didn't make many throws during pregame warmups Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Mariota injured his right elbow in the Titans' season-opening loss in Miami, causing him to lose feeling in his fingers and hand. He was able to practice in a limited capacity both Thursday and Friday, but as of Saturday he was still having trouble gripping a ball "normally," per Schefter. After failing to throw much Sunday morning, he seems to be trending toward a DNP, but that won't be determined until the Titans release their inactive list at approximately 11:30 AM ET. If Mariota is ruled out, Blaine Gabbert is on hand to direct the Titans offense.

Allen is viewed as the Bills' starting QB moving forward, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Though Nathan Peterman beat out Allen for the team's Week 1 starting assignment, he faltered in that game, paving the way for Allen to draw the nod in Week 2. Per Rapoport, "this is not a one-game audition" for the No. 7 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Though Allen's arm strength gives him some fantasy upside down the road, the Bills' pass-catching corps remains a work in progress and the team's current personnel on offense (including LeSean McCoy) favors a run-first attack.

Rodgers, who is listed as questionable but is expected to start Sunday against the Vikings barring a setback, isn't dealing with any ligament damage to his left knee, but could require up to two months to fully heal, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. "He has a pretty unusual injury that would keep most people out awhile," a source told Schefter.

According to Schefter, Rodgers' knee issue is characterized as a "compression injury from blunt force while bent," which will likely make mobility an issue for the signal-caller for the next few weeks if he continues to play through the pain. While Rodgers appeared to assuage some concern about his health by taking part in Saturday's walk-through practice, the source said "there will certainly be a short leash" in the event the quarterback aggravates the injury in Sunday's contest. Even at less than 100 percent, Rodgers showed in the Week 1 comeback win over the Bears just how effective he can still be, so the Packers will likely allow him to continue playing so long as the pain is manageable.

Barring a setback, Rodgers (knee) will start at quarterback Sunday against Minnesota, sources tell Tom Pelissero of NFL.com.

Rodgers was already trending in the right direction since he was able to participate in Saturday's practice. Despite this report and his practice participation, fantasy owners will need to confirm his status in pregame warmups ahead of Sunday's 1 PM ET kickoff

It was the first practice session Rodgers was able to participate in since spraining his knee in last week's season-opening win over the Bears. While his involvement is certainly encouraging, it does not guarantee he will be able to suit up for Sunday's matchup with the Vikings. Still, he appears to be trending in the right direction at this point.

Coach Mike Vrabel said he expects both Gabbert and Marcus Mariota (elbow) to get playing time in Sunday's game against the Texans, ESPN.com's Turron Davenport reports. "We are evaluating. Marcus is going to do everything he can to get ready, like every player is going to do," Vrabel said after Friday's practice. "I would anticipate both of those guys playing at some point and time."

This is shaping up as a situation to avoid for fantasy purposes, especially with the Titans missing both starting tackles for a matchup against a tough defensive front. Mariota was a full practice participant to start the week, but his availability for Sunday came into question after he scaled back to limited participation Thursday and Friday. With Mariota listed as questionable on the final injury report, Gabbert could get his first start in a Tennessee uniform. There's apparently also some chance of Vrabel splitting snaps between the two quarterbacks -- a tactic rarely seen in the NFL.
