  • Jared Goff QB | DET

Rams' Jared Goff: Scores five times in shootout

Goff completed 31 of 49 passes for 413 yards and four touchdowns in Monday night's 54-51 win over the Chiefs. He also rushed four times for six yards and another score, but lost two fumbles as well.

Goff put together a brilliant display, leading the Rams to a dramatic victory with a 40-yard touchdown pass with under two minutes remaining. Of course, that only came after he accounted for four prior scores, including one on the ground. Although his two fumbles prevented a perfect night, Goff otherwise took full advantage of the shootout atmosphere that saw him set career highs in attempts and completions.

  • Mitch Trubisky QB | TEN

Bears' Mitchell Trubisky: Dealing with shoulder injury

Trubisky (right shoulder) was listed as a non-participant on the Bears' estimated injury report Monday.

Led by Trubisky, the Bears have put together a four-game winning streak, which was capped by Sunday night's 25-20 win against the Vikings. During that stretch, he's completed 64.5 percent of his passes for 875 yards, seven touchdowns and three interceptions while rushing 20 times for 118 yards and another TD. While he wouldn't have participated if the Bears held a session Monday, Trubisky will have two more chances to prove that his right throwing shoulder is a non-issue in advance of Thursday's visit to Detroit.

  • Sam Darnold QB | SEA

Jets' Sam Darnold: Uncertain availability for Week 12

Head coach Todd Bowles described Darnold (foot) as "day-to-day, week-to-week" at Monday's practice, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

While Bowles' comments aren't helpful in the slightest, his rookie quarterback -- who has resumed jogging on his injured right foot -- indicated he's no longer experiencing any pain and wants to play in this Sunday's game against the Patriots. We'll see if Darnold is available to practice Wednesday when the Jets issue their first injury report of the week. His participation in any capacity would bode well for his impending availability.

  • Sam Darnold QB | SEA

Jets' Sam Darnold: Jogging without pain

Darnold (foot) said he has been jogging without pain, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Darnold was held out of Monday's practice coming out of a Week 11 bye, but it does seem he made some form of progress during the time off. Josh McCown will get another start if the rookie isn't ready for Sunday's home game against the Patriots.

  • Jameis Winston QB | NYG

Buccaneers' Jameis Winston: Named as Week 12 starter

Winston will get the start Week 12 against the 49ers, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The announcement comes as no surprise after Ryan Fitzpatrick threw seven interceptions the past three weeks, including a trio in Sunday's 38-35 loss to the Giants before he was replaced by Winston. The 24-year-old led three consecutive touchdown drives to bring the Bucs back into the contest, but he didn't have much time on the final series and was picked off on a desperation heave. Winston will now face a San Francisco defense that's given up 21 touchdown passes while notching just two interceptions, despite limiting opponents to a 60.4 completion percentage and 7.2 yards per attempt.

  • Marcus Mariota QB | WAS

Titans' Marcus Mariota: Diagnosed with stinger

Mariota has been diagnosed with a stinger, rather than the elbow injury previously reported, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.

A stringer can cause shooting pain down the arm, perhaps explaining why it felt similar to the elbow injury Mariota suffered early this season. Both issues do involve a nerve on the right side of his body, so there is still some cause for concern regarding the quarterback's status for Week 12 against the Texans. Mariota was removed from Sunday's 38-10 loss to Indianapolis in the second quarter, finishing 10-of-13 passing for 85 yards and an interception. Blaine Gabbert will get the nod against a tough Houston defense if Mariota isn't able to make it back this week.

  • Matt Barkley QB | JAC

Bills' Matt Barkley: Eyeing No. 2 role

Barkley's teammate Josh Allen (elbow) will put in a full practice Monday and is on track to start the Bills' Week 12 game against the Jaguars, Mike Rodak of ESPN.com reports.

Barkley opened plenty of eyes with a surprise two-touchdown, no-interception performance in the Week 10 win over the Jets, but Allen is the future of the 3-7 Bills and coach Sean McDermott wants to get the rookie as much time on the field as possible. Allen could always suffer a setback, while at the very least Barkley looks like he's quickly leapfrogged Nathan Peterman (since waived) and Derek Anderson (concussion) to find a relatively permanent home on the depth chart.

  • Ryan Tannehill QB | TEN

Dolphins' Ryan Tannehill: Increases throwing during bye

Tannehill (shoulder) has increased his throwing program to include throws up to 50 yards, but it isn't clear if he'll be ready to practice Tuesday, Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com reports.

Coming out of a Week 11 bye, Tannehill finally seems to have taken a big step forward yet still finds himself in danger of missing another game when the Dolphins travel to Indianapolis on Sunday. Coach Adam Gase will need to see his starting quarterback on the practice field within the next few days to get a better read on the situation as the team prepares for a game with major wild-card implications in the AFC. An official injury report won't be available until Wednesday, but the Dolphins apparently plan to practice Tuesday.

  • Sam Darnold QB | SEA

    Jets' Sam Darnold: Not practicing

Darnold (foot) isn't practicing Monday, Connor Hughes of The Athletic reports.

Coming out of a Week 11 bye, Darnold still isn't ready to practice as the Jets begin preparation for Sunday's game against New England. There's still time for the rookie to get some work before the contest, but the initial absence suggests Josh McCown may get another start.

  • Marcus Mariota QB | WAS

Titans' Marcus Mariota: May have aggravated nerve issue

The elbow injury that resulted in Mariota's early departure in Sunday's 38-10 loss to the Colts may be related to the nerve issue the quarterback dealt with earlier in the season, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The prior nerve problem most notably affected Mariota's ability to grip and throw the football, both of which significantly hindered his effectiveness. Though he only missed out on one start while battling the elbow injury, it's probably not a coincidence that Mariota averaged a mediocre 6.7 yards per attempt and completed only 63.6 percent of his passes through the Titans' first six games of the season before turning his performance around between Weeks 7 and 10 once he was further removed from the elbow injury. If follow-up examinations do in fact reveal that Mariota's latest setback is related to the nerve issue, there's a good chance he'll sit out at least the team's Week 12 game in Houston on Monday Night Football. That would pave the way for Blaine Gabbert to pick up his second start of the season.
