Coach Kliff Kingsbury indicated that Murray will play more than one drive in Thursday's preseason game against the Raiders, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com report.

How much deeper into the contest Murray will go has yet to be decided, but it looks like he'll at least see more than the 11 snaps he played in last week's preseason opener against the Chargers. Given that context, there's not a ton of DFS appeal for Murray in the Cardinals' second exhibition.

Beathard completed 13 of 17 passes for 141 yards, a touchdown and an interception in Saturday's preseason opener against Dallas.

Nick Mullens started this contest, which suggests that he has the early edge over Beathard for being Jimmy Garoppolo's backup this season. Both quarterbacks completed well over 50 percent of their passes and had a touchdown and a pick apiece, so neither really separated themselves from the other Saturday. Expect this job battle to go on until the final stage of roster cuts.

Mullens completed 11 of 17 pass attempts for 105 yards, a touchdown and an interception in Saturday's preseason win over the Cowboys.

Mullens is jockeying for position with C.J. Beathard to be Jimmy Garoppolo's primary backup this season. The fact that the 24-year-old started Saturday's contest gives him the early advantage over Beathard in the job competition. Both signal callers had very similar stat lines, so this battle could go down to the wire.

Prescott went 4-for-4 with 23 passing yards during Saturday's preseason opener against the 49ers.

Although Prescott played just one drive, there was plenty to talk about, including a nice connection with Michael Gallup, a pass interference call on a deep ball to the latter on the next play, and a completion to himself in the red zone. Prescott exited the game after his team settled for a field goal and was done for the day. He's facing a potential challenge in the absence of Ezekiel Elliott, which could allow Prescott to flourish in a revamped offense with the best group of pass catchers he's ever had at his disposal. He'll likely play deeper into the game next Saturday against the Rams.

Mahomes completed all four of his pass attempts for 66 yards in the team's first preseason contest Saturday against the Bengals.

Mahomes played only one offensive possession but quickly highlighted his big-play ability as part of the offensive unit. He connected with Travis Kelce for a 36-yard gain on the first play of the game and also completed passes to Sammy Watkins, Blake Bell and Anthony Sherman. Though it was a short appearance, Mahomes showcased the efficiency that made him the top fantasy quarterback in 2018.

Dalton completed seven of nine pass attempts for 80 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in the team's first preseason game against the Chiefs on Saturday.

Dalton took the field for only one offensive possession but showed enough in his nine pass attempts and also led the unit to a touchdown. He spread the ball around, completing passes to five different receivers. While most of his attempts went for short gains, he also completed a long pass to Auden Tate down the right sideline that brought the team down to the goal line. Dalton has shown the ability to perform steadily throughout his nine-year career, though he may be unlocked to a certain degree by first-year head coach Zac Taylor.

Head coach Matt Patricia confirmed Saturday that Savage is in concussion protocol, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.

This is presumably the result of one of the sacks Savage took in Thursday's preseason opener. Now dealing with his third concussion in four years, there's no telling how long it could take the quarterback to clear protocol. Detroit signed Josh Johnson earlier Saturday to replenish depth at the position.

Carr isn't expected to play in Saturday's preseason game against the Rams, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Coach Jon Gruden will hold off on introducing his No. 1 quarterback to his sixth exhibition season. When Carr eventually takes the field, he'll have a new lead back in 2019 first-round selection Josh Jacobs. On the other side of the coin, the Antonio Brown saga may still be brewing, which could leave Carr to operate without the Raiders' biggest offseason acquisition.

Lock completed 17 of 28 passes for 180 yards, a touchdown and an interception during Thursday's 22-14 preseason loss to Seattle. He added 11 yards on three carries. After the game, head coach Vic Fangio said that Lock "threw it pretty damn good," Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.

Lock looked less jittery than his preseason opener and delivered a couple of highlights, including a third-down conversion that was in Troy Fumagalli's hands before he even turned out of his route, and a threaded two-point conversion to Juwann Winfree. The rookie second-rounder still struggled under pressure, particularly on a play in which he drifted into the end zone and was sacked for a safety, but Fangio saw progress. Combined with a brief, unimpressive outing by Kevin Hogan, Lock seems to be moving toward the No. 2 spot.

Gabbert completed six of eight passes for 50 yards in the Buccaneers' 30-28 preseason loss to the Steelers on Friday.

Gabbert played only the third series of the game, but he helmed a 13-play, 73-yard march that ended with the Buccaneers giving up the ball on downs at the Steelers' 17-yard line. The veteran then ceded the rest of the game to his competition for the No. 2 job, Ryan Griffin, who was impressive while passing for 330 yards and a touchdown. The battle for the No. 2 job behind Jameis Winston could well come down to the wire, and there's a likelihood Gabbert perhaps logs multiple series in next Friday's second preseason contest versus the Dolphins.
