  • Lions' Matthew Stafford: Struggles to play through thumb injury

Stafford completed 18 of 33 passes for 178 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions during Sunday's 20-0 loss to Carolina. He also rushed four times for five yards.

Toughing out a thumb injury and playing without D'Andre Swift (concussion), Kenny Golladay (hip) and Danny Amendola (hip), Stafford was unable to take advantage of an inviting matchup against a sliding Panthers defense. While his numbers would have looked better had a 51-yard touchdown pass to Marvin Jones not been flagged for an illegal offensive formation, Stafford clearly seemed to be affected by his injury, and, given the offense's subsequent struggles moving the ball, it wouldn't be a surprise if Detroit gives Stafford time to heal in the coming weeks. If not, Stafford at least will have an even better matchup in Week 12 against a Texans defense that is allowing the sixth-most yards per pass attempt (7.8) in 2020.

  • Joe Burrow QB | CIN

Bengals' Joe Burrow: Appears done for the season

Ben Baby of ESPN.com relays that Burrow's first comments since injuring his left knee Sunday against Washington appear to rule the QB out for the rest of the season.

We'll look for added details and official confirmation of such an outcome, but either way, it doesn't look good for the young signal-caller, who tweeted in the aftermath of his injury "see ya next year." Ryan Finley took over for Burrow on Sunday and Brandon Allen is on Cincinnati's practice squad.

  • Joe Burrow QB | CIN

Bengals' Joe Burrow: Carted off the field Sunday

Burrow (left knee) was carted off the field during Sunday's game against Washington, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

At first glance this looks like an injury that will cause the rookie QB to miss time. Ryan Finley is now slated to finish Sunday's game in place of Burrow.

  • Brett Rypien QB | HOU

Broncos' Brett Rypien: Remains backup Sunday

Rypien will be the backup quarterback Sunday against the Dolphins with Drew Lock (ribs) active and starting, Troy Renck of Denver 7 News reports.

The 24-year-old split reps with Lock at practice throughout the week, but he'll remain in the backup role with the regular starter cleared to play. Rypien hasn't seen the field since playing one offensive snap Week 7 against the Chiefs.

  • Sam Darnold QB | SEA

Jets' Sam Darnold: Remains sidelined Sunday

Darnold (shoulder) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Chargers.

With Darnold still sidelined, Joe Flacco -- who threw for season highs in yards (262) and touchdowns (three) in the Jets' loss to the Patriots in Week 9 - will log the start Sunday against the Chargers. Looking ahead, coach Adam Gase noted Friday that Darnold has a "good shot" to return to action in Week 12 against the Dolphins, Ralph Vacchiano of SportsNet New York reports.

  • Tyrod Taylor QB | GB

Chargers' Tyrod Taylor: Active Week 11

Taylor (ribs) is active for Sunday's game against the Jets.

The veteran was considered questionable with the injury to his ribs, but he'll be suiting up for Sunday's contest. Taylor will continue to serve as the backup to starter Justin Herbert.

  • Drew Lock QB | SEA

Broncos' Drew Lock: Active as expected Week 11

Lock (ribs) is active for Sunday's Week 11 tilt against the Dolphins.

As expected, the second-year signal-caller will suit up after suffering some bruising and a strain in his rib area during a Week 10 loss to the Raiders. Therefore, Broncos skill-position players should be deployed as usual, but they'll face a surging Dolphins defense that's allowed just 194.5 passing yards per road contest -- the second-lowest figure in the AFC -- thus far.

  • Will Grier QB | CAR

Panthers' Will Grier: Set for No. 2 role in Week 11

Grier is slated to serve as the backup quarterback Sunday against the Lions, with P.J. Walker receiving the start in place of the inactive Teddy Bridgewater (knee), David Newton of ESPN.com reports.

While Walker could have a short leash if he struggles early on in the contest, his appointment to the starting role implies that he's leapfrogged Grier on the depth chart after head coach Matt Rhule implied earlier this week that both signal-callers would be competing for the No. 2 job. Both Walker and Grier ended up seeing some reps with the first-team offense while Bridgewater was limited by an MCL sprain, but the Panthers are seemingly confident that Bridgewater will be ready to return to the lineup for a Week 13 game in Minnesota. If that's the case, Grier may find himself inactive as the No. 3 quarterback next week, assuming Walker acquits himself well in the start.

  • Panthers' Teddy Bridgewater: Now inactive for Sunday's game

Bridgewater (knee) is inactive Sunday against the Lions, leaving P.J. Walker as the Panthers' starting quarterback, Bill Voth of the team's official site reports.

Bridgewater initially was reported to be active, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, but the Panthers quickly changed course and included him on their inactive list. With Bridgewater on the sideline due to a sprained MCL in his right knee, the team will go with Walker under center and Will Grier as his backup.

  • P.J. Walker QB | SEA

Panthers' P.J. Walker: Gets Week 11 start

Walker will receive the start at quarterback Sunday against Detroit, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Walker came on in relief in last week's loss to the Buccaneers after Teddy Bridgewater exited with an MCL sprain in his right knee. Though the Panthers were hopeful Bridgewater would be ready to go for the Week 11 matchup, Carolina ultimately made their top signal-caller inactive for the first time this season. Coach Matt Rhule will award Walker the start over Will Grier after both players saw action with the first-team offense in practice this week, so Walker may have a short leash if he struggles to find a rhythm early on in Sunday's contest. Over his limited action behind Bridgewater this season, the former XFL standout has completed three of eight attempts for 15 yards.
