Tua Tagovailoa QB | ATL
Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: To resume throwing Monday
Tagovailoa (finger/ribs) has not yet resumed throwing but is expected to do so Monday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Tagovailoa was active for Sunday's game against the Texans but only in an emergency capacity, and he did not take the field. The second-year signal-caller is considered day-to-day in advance of Thursday's game against the Ravens, so it will be encouraging if he's indeed able to resume throwing. However, Jacoby Brissett remains ready if Tagovailoa isn't able to make enough progress to play Week 10.

Trevor Lawrence QB | JAC
Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence: Reportedly has low-ankle sprain
Lawrence is believed to have suffered a low-ankle sprain during Sunday's upset win over the Bills, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Lawrence was able to return to the 9-6 victory after initially injuring his ankle, so there's some reason to feel optimistic about his chances of continuing to play through the issue. Per Rapoport, Lawrence is expected to be limited in practice this week, but the rookie No. 1 overall pick has apparently avoided any structural damage. The Jaguars face a road matchup against the Colts in Week 10.

Tim Boyle QB | TEN
Lions' Tim Boyle: Cleared to practice
Boyle (thumb) will be designated to return from injured reserve by the Lions on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Boyle has been on injured reserve since the start of the regular season after he underwent thumb surgery Aug. 30. He'll have to be activated within 21 days to be eligible to return this season, but he could serve as Detroit's primary backup at quarterback once he's cleared to return to game action.

Jimmy Garoppolo QB | LAR
49ers' Jimmy Garoppolo: Tops 300 yards in loss
Garoppolo completed 28 of 40 passes for 326 yards and two touchdowns with an interception in Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Cardinals.
For the second straight game, Garoppolo threw for over 300 yards, and for only the second time in 2021 he tossed multiple TDs, making this performance one of his best of the season from a fantasy perspective. The return of George Kittle provided immediate dividends as Garoppolo hit the tight end for a six-yard score just before halftime, the first points of the day for the 49ers. The QB could have trouble continuing his recent run of productivity in Week 10 against the Rams, however.

Ryan Tannehill QB | TEN
Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Two scores in SNF win
Tannehill completed 19 of 27 pass attempts for 143 yards, a touchdown and an interception while rushing two times for three yards and another score in Sunday's 28-16 win over the Rams.
Tannehill led his team to victory in the Titans' first game without star back Derrick Henry (foot). The 33-year-old has provided somewhat of a "game manager" fantasy output this season, but he figures to shoulder a bigger load on offense with Henry likely done for the season. While that didn't come to fruition against the Rams' stingy pass defense, Tannehill is still a name for fantasy managers in need of a second-half QB to monitor, as he has a talented duo of star wide receivers at his disposal. Next week's opponent, the New Orleans Saints, also boast a tough pass defense, so we may not see an increase in Tannehill's overall production until Week 11 against the Texans.

Matthew Stafford QB | LAR
Rams' Matthew Stafford: Struggles and rolls ankle in loss
Stafford (back/ankle) completed 31 of 48 pass attempts for 294 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Sunday's 28-16 loss to Tennessee.
Stafford entered the contest battling some back soreness, and while he was able to suit up, he then suffered an ankle injury in the third quarter of Sunday's loss. The veteran quarterback had his ankle wrapped and was able to stay in the game, but it is a situation to monitor during practices this week. As for the game itself, Stafford didn't have a particularly poor fantasy line -- he simply made some uncharacteristically bad decisions on throws that eventually cost his team a chance at victory. Assuming he is healthy enough to suit up, a juicy matchup against the 49ers' porous secondary is on tap for Week 10.
-
Colt McCoy QB | ARI
Cardinals' Colt McCoy: Efficient in Sunday's win
McCoy completed 22 of 26 passes for 249 yards and a touchdown and gained 23 yards on seven carries in Sunday's 31-17 win over the 49ers.
Getting the start in place of Kyler Murray (ankle), McCoy mostly relied on the Cards' running game to keep the chains moving, but the veteran QB made few mistakes when he did need to air it out. Assuming Murray is able to return to the lineup in Week 10 against the Panthers, McCoy will return to his backup duties.
-
Jalen Hurts QB | PHI
Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Not much passing again
Hurts completed 11 of 17 passes for 162 yards and a touchdown and gained 62 yards on 10 carries in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Chargers.
For the second straight game, Hurts attempted fewer than 20 passes, and for the fourth time in the last five games he threw for fewer than 200 yards. What tosses he did make mostly went to DeVonta Smith, as the rookie hauled in 71.6 percent of his passing yards. Hurts' running gives him a strong fantasy floor, but the Eagles' reluctance to let him loose as a passer limits his ceiling heading into a Week 10 clash with the Broncos.
-
Justin Herbert QB | LAC
Chargers' Justin Herbert: Produces three TDs in win
Herbert completed 32 of 38 passes for 356 yards and two touchdowns while gaining 14 yards and a TD on five carries in Sunday's 27-24 win over the Eagles. He also threw a two-point conversion.
After two shaky performances sandwiched around the Chargers' Week 7 bye, Herbert rebounded with one of his sharpest performances of the season. He leaned heavily on his tight ends in the red zone, tossing TDs to Donald Parham and Stephen Anderson and hitting Jared Cook for a two-point conversion. Herbert will take an 18:6 TD:INT, plus two rushing scores, through eight games into a Week 10 clash with the Vikings.
-
Teddy Bridgewater QB | DET
Broncos' Teddy Bridgewater: Picks apart Cowboys
Bridgewater completed 19 of 28 pass attempts for 249 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Sunday's 30-16 win over the Cowboys. He added three rushes for -1 yards and one touchdown.
Bridgewater picked apart the Cowboys' defense and averaged 8.9 yards per attempt. The primary thing holding him back from a bigger performance was game script, as the Broncos played from ahead for the majority of the game, and Bridgewater completed only three passes in the second half. Even so, he now has multiple total touchdowns in four of his last five games heading into a Week 10 matchup against Philadelphia.
