Ward noted Thursday that he's he's lost 10 pounds during the offseason by focusing on his diet, Turron Davenport of ESPN reports. "I think it'll help me with durability...just being faster, getting up in the pocket, and trying to play my speed," said Ward, who Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site indicates has recovered from an AC joint sprain in his throwing shoulder suffered in Week 18 last season. With that in mind, coach Robert Saleh said Thursday of the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, "his arm's perfectly healthy. He's slinging the ball. I mean, he's got some good velocity on it." As the coming campaign approaches, Ward will be working with a WR corps that welcomes back Calvin Ridley, Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike, and that was notably bolstered by the signing of free agent Wan'Dale Robinson and addition of Carnell Tate via the No. 4 overall pick in the 2026 Draft.

Coach Robert Saleh said Thursday that Ward (shoulder) is "perfectly healthy" to begin OTAs, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Ward sustained a sprained AC joint in his right, throwing shoulder in the Titans' Week 18 loss to the Jaguars last season but avoided surgery and seems to be 100 percent for the offseason program. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 Draft, Ward started all 17 regular-season games as a rookie and completed 323 of 540 pass attempts (59.8 percent) for 3,169 yards (5.9 yards per attempt), 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He also absorbed a league-high 55 sacks. The Titans have done quite a bit to upgrade Ward's supporting cast this offseason, first signing Wan'Dale Robinson before using the No. 4 overall pick in the 2026 Draft on Carnell Tate. Tennessee also signed offensive linemen Austin Schlottmann, Cordell Volson and Austin Deculus in free agency.

Titans GM Mike Borgonzi said Thursday that Ward (shoulder) is on track to throw passes at voluntary minicamp next week, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Borgonzi didn't mention if Ward has resumed throwing in individual workouts. The young quarterback suffered an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder during a Week 18 loss at Jacksonville, making an early exit from the final game of a brutal rookie season. Ward started all 17 games, but threw for just 3,169 yards and 15 touchdowns in an undermanned offense with subpar coaching. Ward's setup for 2026 looks at least somewhat better, with Brian Daboll taking over the Tennessee offense (under new HC Robert Saleh) and bringing WR Wan'Dale Robinson with him from the Giants. Ward may have limitations during the offseason program, but he has plenty of time to ramp up before the start of training camp in late July.

GM Mike Borgonzi said Thursday that Ward currently is rehabbing his right shoulder and is "doing well," Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Ward made an early exit from Tennessee's Week 18 loss at Jacksonville due to a right shoulder injury, which was revealed to be an AC joint sprain in the aftermath of the contest, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. Borgonzi also told Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com that Ward doesn't have a specific timeline for his recovery, so it's unclear if he'll be healthy when OTAs kick off in May. As the first overall pick in the 2025 Draft, Ward started all 17 regular-season games as a rookie, completing 323 of 540 passes (59.8 percent) for 3,169 yards, 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions, rushing 39 times for 159 yards and two more TDs and fumbling 11 times (seven lost).

Ward was diagnosed with an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder after undergoing testing Monday and isn't expected to require offseason surgery, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Ward ended up starting all 17 games during his rookie season for the Titans, but after taking every snap through the first 16 contests, an injury to his throwing shoulder forced him out of Sunday's 41-7 loss to the Jaguars following Tennessee's opening drive. The Titans were initially fearful that Ward had suffered a significant injury that might need surgery, but the young signal-caller appears to have received a more favorable prognosis than expected after being sent in for tests. The Titans haven't offered a timeline for when Ward will be fully recovered from the shoulder injury, however, so his availability for the start of the team's offseason program could be affected. Ward wrapped up his 2025 campaign with 323 completions on 540 attempts (59.8 percent) for 3,169 yards, 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions while adding 159 yards and two scores on 39 carries. He was particularly effective following the Titans' Week 10 bye, raising his completion rate to 62.4 percent while accounting for 12 touchdowns (10 passing, two rushing) and committing just three turnovers (one interception, two lost fumbles) over the final eight games.
