  • Mitchell (lower body) was a full participant in Wednesday's joint practice with the Patriots, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports. Mitchell lined up against former teammate A.J. Brown multiple times throughout the session, making for a spectacular battle. The cornerback has been dealing with a lower-body issue since last Wednesday and is finally ready to return to the field. The All-Pro's return is a huge boost to the Eagles' starting secondary as they get ready to take on the Patriots in Saturday's preseason showdown.

  • Mitchell (lower body) did not participate in Thursday's practice, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports. Mitchell exited Wednesday's practice session with a glute injury and was unable to return to the field. The cornerback has now missed another session, and he appears highly unlikely to play in Saturday's preseason opener against the Ravens. With Jonathan Jones (shoulder) also managing an injury, Kelee Ringo has a good chance to see significant reps throughout the preseason.

  • Mitchell (undisclosed) left practice early Wednesday and did not return, Brooks Kubena of The Athletic reports. Per Christiaan DeFranco of The Daily Local News, Mitchell was shaken up after a one-on-one drill with wide receiver Hollywood Brown, but the precise nature of the injury is still unknown. If Mitchell misses more time, Kelee Ringo would be a candidate to fill the vacated reps with the first-team defense.

  • Mitchell (hamstring) was a full participant at practice Thursday. Mitchell exited the team's Week 6 loss to the Giants on Thursday Night Football in the second quarter with a hamstring injury, ultimately failing to return to action. After opening the week as a limited participant at practice, the cornerback now appears all set to play in Sunday's matchup with the Vikings, likely being tasked with neutralizing Justin Jefferson.
