• Texans' C.J. Stroud: Produces two TDs in Tennessee

  Stroud completed 26 of 34 passes for 261 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-3 win over the Titans. He added five rushing yards and a TD on six carries. Neither team had gotten the ball into the end zone at halftime, but Stroud fixed that by scampering for a two-yard TD in the third quarter before finding Jaylin Noel for a nine-yard score in the fourth. Despite the Texans' 1-4 record, Stroud still has yet to throw an INT this season, compiling a 6:0 TD:INT in five games, and he hasn't committed a turnover since Week 1. The fourth-year QB also has reinforcements coming for his receiving corps after Houston traded for Marvin Harrison on Sunday. Stroud will look to build on this performance in a Week 6 clash with the Jaguars.

  Stroud has played two games with Nico Collins this season and is averaging 23.8 Fantasy points in those outings. Stroud faces the Titans in Week 5, and he scored at least 19.7 Fantasy points in his last two full games against Tennessee, going back to 2024. Two of the past three quarterbacks against the Titans have scored at least 20.2 Fantasy points, with Jalen Hurts in Week 2 and Lamar Jackson in Week 4. Tennessee limited Geno Smith in Week 1 and Jameis Winston in Week 3 to 9.3 Fantasy points or less in each outing, but I'm expecting Stroud to be a low-end No. 1 Fantasy quarterback in all leagues in Week 5.

• Texans' C.J. Stroud: Comes up short in wild loss to Dallas

  Stroud completed 21 of 31 passes for 347 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 34-30 loss to the Cowboys. He added 12 yards on two carries. With top receiver Nico Collins back in the fold after a hamstring strain, Stroud posted his best numbers of the season -- he threw for 353 yards in Week 2, but it came on 55 attempts and he didn't produce a TD. Both of Stroud's scores Sunday went to Collins, and through four games he has a 5:0 TD:INT, with his only two turnovers being a pair of Week 1 fumbles. The fourth-year QB will try to lead Houston to its first win of the year in a Week 5 road trip to Tennessee.

  Nico Collins (hamstring) is back for Week 4 against Dallas, and that's clearly a big plus for Stroud against the Cowboys, who are No. 3 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. Jaxson Dart, Marcus Mariota and Lamar Jackson all scored at least 24.4 Fantasy points against Dallas, and Stroud should be considered a low-end starter in deep, one-quarterback leagues. Stroud had 274 passing yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 1 against Buffalo in his lone game with Collins this season, and Houston has struggled to run the ball this year. Stroud could also be chasing points, which is a plus against the Cowboys' defense.

• Texans' C.J. Stroud: Poor showing in Week 3 loss

  Stroud completed 16 of 27 passes for 167 yards and a touchdown while rushing twice for 10 yards in Sunday's 19-17 loss to the Colts. Houston's offense struggled for a second consecutive week in the absence of top wide receiver Nico Collins (hamstring). Stroud threw a one-yard touchdown pass to Foster Moreau in the second quarter, but the Texans dropped to 0-3 for the second consecutive season. Houston bounced back to finish 12-5 in the 2025 regular season, but climbing out of an early hole again won't be easy, especially with the offensive line struggling to create running lanes or protect Stroud, who has been sacked 10 times through three games. Stroud will try to get off the schneid in an all-Texas Week 4 home game against the Cowboys.
