Smith (concussion) has been ruled out for Monday's matchup against Dallas. Smith suffered a concussion last Sunday against Carolina and was unable to practice this week. He remains in the NFL's concussion protocol and won't be able to suit up again on game day until he's cleared by an independent neurologist. Both Jonathan Greenard (ankle) and Jalyx Hunt (ankle/knee) are questionable for Monday, and Arnold Ebiketie will likely be asked to step into a starting role with at least Smith guaranteed to be sidelined.

Smith (concussion) won't return to Sunday's game against Carolina. Smith took a hit from Chuba Hubbard in the second quarter. He exited for an evaluation in the medical tent and was then escorted to the locker room by the training staff. With Smith ruled out for the remainder of Week 6, the Eagles will need to rely on Jonathan Greenard, Arnold Ebiketie and Keyshawn James-Newby to fill the void.

The Eagles exercised Smith's fifth-year option Monday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports. Smith will earn another $13.7 million, guaranteeing his services to the Eagles through 2027. The linebacker is coming off a slightly disappointing season that was spoiled by a lingering triceps injury he originally suffered during training camp. Despite the issue, Smith still started 12 regular-season games, logging 31 tackles (15 solo), including 3.0 sacks. Headed into 2026 healthy, Smith will look to produce a year similar to his 2024 season (42 tackles, including 6.5 sacks), which would help greatly in long-term extension discussions with the organization.

Smith secured three tackles, including 1.0 sacks, in Friday's Week 13 loss to the Bears. Smith logged a sack of Caleb Williams early in the third quarter that helped hold Chicago to a three-and-out. Smith added another QB hit and finished with three stops for the second straight game, both one short of his season high of four tackles in Week 1. He has 19 tackles, including 2.0 sacks, through seven contests on the campaign.

Smith posted two tackles (both solo), including 1.0 sacks, in a 10-7 win over the Packers on Monday Night Football. The Packers had driven past the Eagles' 30-yard line late in the second quarter when Smith halted their momentum with a sack of Jordan Love. One play later, Love was sacked again (this time by Nakobe Dean) and turned the ball over on a fumble. Smith logged just a 28 percent defensive snap share, as he was coming off a five-game absence due to a triceps injury.
