Parsons (knee) isn't expected to return to practice this week ahead of the Packers' Week 6 game against the Cowboys on Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. It's unclear when Parsons' 21-day practice window will open, but the Packers are hoping the superstar pass rusher will be back on the field in October. Parsons is in the final stages of his recovery from a torn ACL in his left knee that he suffered in Week 15 of the 2025 season. For now, Green Bay will continue to rely on Lukas Van Ness and Barryn Sorrell as the team's top pass rushers, with Dani Dennis-Sutton and Brenton Cox providing depth at the position.

Parsons (knee), per head coach Matt LaFleur, will not practice this week, Weston Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports. With four weeks in the books Parsons is now eligible to be activated from the active/PUP list, but with him not yet ready to practice he will not return to action in Week 5 against the Bears, and it may be tough for him to make it back for Green Bay's Week 6 matchup against his former Dallas team.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said Monday that Parsons (knee) hasn't experienced any setbacks but won't be cleared to practice this week, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. Because he was placed on the PUP list July 28, Parsons has been eligible to resume practicing since Week 2, but the Packers aren't yet ready to open his 21-day evaluation window. Parsons had previously told Ryan Wood of USA Today that the Packers' Oct. 18 game against the Cowboys was a "very realistic" target for him to make his 2026 debut, but in order for that to happen, the star edge rusher would likely have to start practicing by next week.

The Packers moved Parsons (knee) from the active/PUP list to the reserve/PUP list Sunday, meaning he'll miss the first four games of the season, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Parsons was lost for the 2025 season in Week 15 when he sustained a torn ACL in his left knee, but not before fulfilling expectations following his blockbuster arrival from Dallas prior to Week 1. Overall, he recorded 12.5 sacks in 14 regular-season contests, marking his fifth straight campaign to begin his career with at least 12.0 sacks. Based on comments made by Parsons to Ryan Wood of USA Today on Aug. 4, the pass rusher is aiming to return for Week 6, but with Sunday's transaction, his first possible return date is a Week 5 matchup with the Bears.

Parsons (knee) said Tuesday that playing Week 6 against the Cowboys is a very realistic goal, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports. Parsons remains on the active/PUP list for Green Bay and is a decent bet to open the regular season on reserve/PUP, which would cost the star pass rusher at least the first four games of the season. Holding him out until that Sunday Night Football clash against his former team would make a lot of sense after Parsons tore his ACL in Week 15 of last season.
