Herbert completed 14 of 24 passes for 121 yards, one touchdown and one interception, reeled off 54 yards on six carries and fumbled twice (one lost) during Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Broncos. Herbert's season-low number of pass attempts amounted to by far his lowest yardage total through the air through five contests this season. He also turned over the ball two times, which resulted in two late made field goals for Denver (i.e. the margin of defeat) and bringing his total on the campaign to nine (seven INTs, two lost fumbles). Granted, Herbert was working without WR Quentin Johnston (chest, inactive), while Ladd McConkey (foot) was active but doesn't appear to have played a snap, so the deck was stacked against him versus a tough defense. Herbert's next chance to get right is next Sunday versus the 4-0 Chiefs.

The Broncos' pass defense isn't as imposing this season since Patrick Mahomes, Matthew Stafford and Brock Purdy all scored at least 23.6 Fantasy points against Denver already this year. And star cornerback Patrick Surtain II (ankle) isn't expected to play in Week 5. That said, you can't trust Herbert as a starter in one-quarterback leagues. He has scored 15.3 Fantasy points or less in all four outings this season, and he might be without Ladd McConkey (foot), Rashawn Slater (ankle) and Joe Alt (neck) this week. This should be another tough outing for Herbert in Week 5.

Herbert was 19-for-31 passing for 189 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions, took six carries for 40 yards and lost a fumble during Sunday's 30-23 loss in Seattle. Herbert's three turnovers led directly to seven points for the Seahawks -- i.e. L.A.'s margin of defeat -- and he didn't reach the 200-yard threshold through the air for the second time in four contests this season. Having Ladd McConkey at less than 100 percent didn't help matters, and the team's top wide receiver appeared to aggravate an existing foot injury in the second half and didn't return to action. Herbert boasts just four touchdown passes versus six interceptions in 2026, and he may find difficulty achieving his first win of the campaign next Sunday against the Broncos.

Herbert opened the season with three favorable matchups on paper against Arizona, Las Vegas and Buffalo, and he scored 15.3 Fantasy points or less in each outing. It would be ironic for him to have a big game at Seattle, which is No. 7 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks and one of the best defenses in the NFL. I'm not expecting that to happen given how poorly the Chargers have looked on offense this season, and Herbert has three touchdowns and four interceptions in three games while averaging just 229 passing yards per game. He is only worth starting in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues.

Herbert completed 20 of 34 passes for 226 yards with one touchdown and one interception and rushed four times for 17 yards in the Chargers' 24-16 loss to the Bills on Sunday. Herbert finished with some serviceable numbers, but his play-to-play consistency lacked at times in a tough road environment. The 2020 first-round pick connected with a relatively narrow pool of six targets, and his one touchdown throw came via a shovel pass to Keaton Mitchell to cap off the opening drive of the game. Herbert also saw what was originally ruled a lost fumble returned for a touchdown reversed just before the two-minute warning, and through three games, he's completed only 59.1 percent of his passes while mustering a 3:4 TD:INT during an alarmingly winless start to the season for the Chargers. Herbert and his teammates draw a second straight unenviable assignment in Week 4, as they travel to face the defending champion Seahawks next Sunday afternoon.
