Goedert caught all four of his targets for 30 yards and added a two-yard run in Sunday's 27-10 loss to the Commanders. Goedert has 15 catches for 139 receiving yards in three games since Tanner McKee took over as Philadelphia's starting QB, but the veteran TE has now gone five consecutive appearances without a TD after scoring 13 times in the span of 15 regular-season appearances through Week 1 of this season. Goedert had a ball bounce off his hands for an interception in the second half, but the play was negated by a defensive penalty, removing what would have been the lone blemish on Goedert's otherwise clean, though unimpressive, stat sheet. He'll try to snap his touchdown drought in Week 9 against the Giants.

Goedert secured five of seven targets for 48 yards in the Eagles' 38-21 loss to the Cowboys on Monday night. On a night when both DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) were sidelined, Goedert served as an even more important target than usual. The veteran tight end finished second in all of receptions, receiving yards and targets for the Eagles on the night, and he's now recorded at least five catches in three consecutive games. Goedert has 24 targets over that span as well, and he should remain similarly busy in a Week 8 road matchup against the Commanders on Sunday night.

Goedert (knee) said he felt good at Saturday's practice after dealing with inflammation earlier in the week, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. Goedert was back on the practice field Saturday after missing the first two sessions of Week 7 prep while dealing with inflammation in his knee. The Eagles still need to submit their injury designations for Monday's game against the Cowboys, but Goedert noted after Saturday's session that he expects to play, per Olivia Reiner of The Philadelphia Inquirer. The veteran tight end's availability is crucial for Philadelphia, given that both of the team's top wide receivers in DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) did not practice all week.

Goedert has yet to mix into drills this week due to a knee injury, which could be related to the right MCL sprain that sidelined him in Weeks 3 and 4. In any case, how he's listed on Saturday's practice report will provide a sense of his chances to play Monday against the Cowboys.
