• Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Gutsy, efficient in big win

  Mayfield completed 16 of 22 passes for 203 yards with a touchdown and an interception and rushed four times for 31 yards in the Buccaneers' 16-14 win over the Panthers on Saturday. He also fumbled once but recovered. Mayfield averaged an impressive 9.2 yards per attempt while connecting with both Mike Evans and Cade Otton for passes of 20-plus yards. The veteran signal-caller's only touchdown toss came early on, as he connected with Otton from 18 yards out to cap off a nine-play game-opening drive. Mayfield repeatedly focused on Otton throughout the afternoon for several more productive gains, although his one interception in the second quarter at his own 39-yard line did lead to a Panthers touchdown. Mayfield wraps up the 2025 regular season with the lowest completion percentage (63.2) and passing yardage total (3,693) of his three-year Buccaneers tenure, but he and his teammates will be pulling for the Saints to defeat or tie the Falcons on Sunday in order to be able to continue playing in next weekend's wild-card round as the NFC South champions.

  Mayfield scored 21.4 Fantasy points in Week 17 at Miami, but it wasn't pretty with 346 passing yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions, along with 16 rushing yards and a fumble. He has scored fewer than 20 Fantasy points five times in his past seven games, including Week 16 at Carolina with 14.7 points. Only one quarterback has scored at least 20 Fantasy points against the Panthers in their past six games, which was Tyler Shough in Week 15, including matchups with Brock Purdy, Matthew Stafford, Mayfield and Sam Darnold. I would only start Mayfield in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues.

• Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Battling shoulder, knee injuries

  The Buccaneers listed Mayfield as a limited participant in Tuesday's walk-through practice due to knee and right shoulder injuries, Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site reports. Mayfield had notably been listed with a left shoulder injury on Buccaneers injury reports from Weeks 13 through 15, but he's now contending with an issue to his throwing shoulder along with his knee coming out of this past Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Dolphins. With the Bucs needing a win to have any hope of claiming the NFC South title, Mayfield isn't expected to be in any real danger of missing Saturday's matchup with the Panthers, but the pair of injuries will cast further doubt on the quarterback's chances of returning to his early-season form. During Tampa Bay's current four-game losing streak, Mayfield is averaging just 222.5 passing yards per contest and has thrown for six touchdowns while turning the ball over six times (five interceptions, one lost fumble).

  Mayfield has not been a good Fantasy quarterback of late with four games in a row with 18.8 points or less, and he's been under 200 passing yards and has no games with multiple touchdown passes over that span. But things should change for him in Week 15 against the Falcons. Mike Evans (collarbone) and Jalen McMillan (neck) could be active this week, which would give Mayfield his entire receiving corps for the first time all season. And he loves playing Atlanta. Mayfield has scored at least 24.1 Fantasy points in his past four games against the Falcons, including 28.6 points in Week 1. Atlanta has also allowed three of the past four quarterbacks to score at least 23.3 Fantasy points, including Bryce Young, Tyrod Taylor and Sam Darnold. This should be the slump buster that Mayfield needs to get back on track as a No. 1 Fantasy quarterback.

• Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Forgettable afternoon in loss

  Mayfield completed 14 of 30 passes for 122 yards with a touchdown and an interception while adding six rushes for 42 yards in the Buccaneers' 24-20 loss to the Saints on Sunday. Mayfield's final line underscores the type of afternoon it was for the normally efficient veteran signal-caller, who surprisingly struggled to a 44.9 QBR in a game for which the Buccaneers were heavily favored. Mayfield connected with Bucky Irving for a 24-yard touchdown pass just before the midway point of the first quarter, but his one interception on a deep pass to Kameron Johnson early in the third quarter led to a Saints touchdown. Mayfield could get Mike Evans (IR, collarbone) back for a Week 15 home matchup against the Falcons on Thursday night to help the quarterback bounce back from his lowest passing yardage total in a non-injury-shortened game this season.
