The Orioles announced Monday that Hiraldo (shoulder) has resumed a throwing program, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Placed on the injured list April 5 due to right shoulder inflammation, Hiraldo met with Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles on April 20 to receive a second opinion on his injury. Hiraldo apparently received a favorable prognosis, given that the Orioles have signed off on him starting up a throwing program just a few weeks later. Baltimore transferred Hiraldo to the 60-day IL shortly shortly after initially deactivating him, so the right-hander will likely be built up slowly during his throwing program. He'll be eligible to return from the shelf in early June.

The Mariners recalled Gonzalez from Triple-A Tacoma on Monday.

He's grabbing the roster spot vacated by Jose Ferrer, who has gone on paternity leave. Gonzalez has posted a 1.80 ERA and 14:2 K:BB over 15 innings with Tacoma this season. He will be making his major-league debut when/if he enters a game.

The Mariners placed Ferrer on the paternity leave list Monday.

By rule, Ferrer will miss the next 1-to-3 contests while welcoming a new child to the family. His spot on the roster and in the bullpen will be taken over by Domingo Gonzalez.

Gurevitch was promoted from Single-A Palm Beach to High-A Peoria on Monday.

Gurevitch earned a bump up to a new level after slashing .274/.398/.538 with six home runs and a 20:39 BB:K over 28 games with Palm Beach. The 22-year-old was a third-round pick in the 2025 First-Year Player Draft.

The Blue Jays recalled Pinango from Triple-A Buffalo on Monday.

After being optioned to Buffalo on Saturday, Pinango will make his way back to Toronto just two days later with Addison Barger (elbow) going back on the injured list with a new health concern. Before his recent demotion, Pinango fared well in his first taste of the big leagues, slashing .423/.444/.462 over 27 plate appearances. The Blue Jays will likely turn to Pinango to fill the strong side of a platoon in the corner outfield while Barger and Nathan Lukes (hamstring) are on the shelf.

The Blue Jays placed Barger on the 10-day injured list Monday with right elbow inflammation.

Barger just returned to the active roster Friday after missing more than a month with injuries to both ankles. He played only one game for the Blue Jays before heading back on the IL with an elbow injury. The good news is Barger's elbow is fine structurally. He will receive a cortisone injection Monday to combat a joint and be shut down for 3-to-4 days, per Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca. It could be a short stay on the IL if all goes well. Yohendrick Pinango will take Barger's roster spot and should see regular work in the outfield versus righties.

The Blue Jays designated Lauer for assignment Monday.

The lefty will give up his spot on the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster to right-hander Yariel Rodriguez, who was called up from Triple-A Buffalo ahead of Monday's game versus the Rays. The transaction comes after Lauer was lit up for six runs over five innings in a bulk-relief appearance during Sunday's loss to the Angels, bringing the veteran southpaw's ERA to 6.69 over 36.1 innings on the season. With Lauer out of the mix, the Blue Jays will have an opening in the rotation for a fifth starter until Max Scherzer (forearm), Jose Berrios (elbow) or Shane Bieber (elbow) is ready to return from the injured list. Toronto could turn to Spencer Miles to help fill the void, after Miles tossed three scoreless frames as an opener in front of Lauer in Sunday's loss.

The Orioles announced Monday that Helsley (elbow) hasn't been cleared to start a throwing program, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Per Jake Rill of MLB.com, Helsley said that while he's not yet been given the green light to play catch, he's pleased with how his injured elbow has responded to anti-inflammatory medication. He's been able to run and work out in the meantime and expects to start throwing a weighted ball in the coming days before initiating a throwing program. According to Andy Kostka of TheBanner.com, Helsley added that he's not dealing with any ligament damage to his elbow and expects to require a rehab assignment before potentially returning from the 15-day injured list in late May. Since the Orioles closer landed on the shelf May 1, Rico Garcia has collected both of Baltimore's save chances.

Suter will serve as the Angels' opening pitcher in Monday's contest in Cleveland, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Suter will draw his second opener assignment of the season, after he allowed one run over two frames in his first start back on April 16 against the Yankees. Alek Manoah is slated to be the team's primary pitcher Monday sometime after Suter exits the game.

Tatis went 0-for-3 with two walks and a stolen base in an extra-inning win over St. Louis on Sunday.

While Tatis wasn't able to log any hits, he made an impact by taking two walks and stealing a base. The theft was his 10th this season, ninth-most in MLB. Beyond that, however, Tatis has largely disappointed fantasy managers so far, primarily because he's yet to go deep through 39 games. That's contributed to Tatis logging just 15 RBI and 14 runs while posting a meager .611 OPS. On the bright side, Tatis has made nine appearances at second base, and he'll gain significant value as a fantasy asset when/if he becomes eligible at the keystone (depending on league settings).
