Rays manager Kevin Cash said Wednesday that DeLuca (hamstring) could be activated from the 10-day injured list during this weekend's series versus the Nationals, Ryan Bass of Rays.tv reports.

DeLuca will play his fourth rehab game with Triple-A Durham on Wednesday after reaching base eight times in his first three rehab contests. He's a little more than three weeks into a projected 6-to-8 week timeline, so DeLuca has progressed much faster than anticipated. DeLuca was seeing regular starts in right field before getting hurt and could regain that role upon activation.

Walton is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Though he'll be on the bench Wednesday while southpaw Eduardo Rodriguez draws the start for Arizona, the left-handed-hitting Walton might have earned himself a regular spot in the lineup against righties for the time being. Since being called up from Triple-A Salt Lake on May 22, the 32-year-old journeyman has produced a .340/.375/.491 slash line with six extra-base hits, eight runs and six RBI over 56 plate appearances versus right-handed pitching. He served as the Angels' designated hitter in each of the team's last four matchups with righties.

The Twins sent Rojas (elbow) to Triple-A St. Paul this week to begin a rehab assignment, Aaron Gleeman of AaronGleeman.com reports.

Rojas has been shelved since late May with left elbow inflammation, but after completing a 30-pitch live batting practice session over the weekend, he's been cleared to start pitching in rehab games. How long Rojas' rehab assignment lasts could depend on what role the Twins have planned for him when he returns. He's made one start for Minnesota this season and has gone multiple innings in all four of his relief appearances.

Schanuel is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's contest in Arizona.

The left-handed-hitting Schanuel is slashing only .185/.274/.259 versus lefty hurlers this season, so he'll take a seat as the Diamondbacks send southpaw Eduardo Rodriguez to the bump. Vaughn Grissom will cover first base for the Angels.

O'Hoppe is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks.

The Angels will give O'Hoppe a breather for the afternoon tilt after he went 4-for-8 with two doubles and a run scored while starting behind the plate in the first two games of the series. Logan Porter will handle catching duties for the Angels in the finale in Arizona.

Wynns elected free agency Tuesday.

Wynns will assess his options on the open market after he was moved off Atlanta's 40-man roster Monday following Drake Baldwin's return from the 10-day injured list. After the Angels traded him to Atlanta on June 3, Wynns joined the big club a day later and went on to go 1-for-14 at the dish during his brief stint with the team.

Lawlar will start in center field and bat seventh in Wednesday's game against the Angels.

Lawlar has cracked the starting nine for a fourth game in a row, with the Diamondbacks having faced three lefties and one righty during that stretch. Since coming off the 60-day injured list Friday, Lawlar has gone just 2-for-12 at the plate, but he's reached base on four other occasions (two walks, two hit-by-pitches) and has gone 3-for-3 on steal attempts. With the Diamondbacks demoting Ryan Waldschmidt to Triple-A Reno earlier this week, Lawlar could have a clear path to playing regularly in center field.

The Angels activated Grissom (oblique) from the 10-day injured list Wednesday.

Grissom wound up missing only two weeks of action as he recovered from a left oblique strain. He is starting at first base and batting fifth in Wednesday's contest against the Diamondbacks.

Gurriel is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels.

Gurriel will get a breather for the matinee contest after he went 1-for-8 with an RBI while making starts in left field and at designated hitter the previous two nights following his return from the 10-day injured list Monday. Arizona will go with Ketel Marte in the DH spot Wednesday, while Tommy Troy, Jordan Lawlar and Corbin Carroll fill out the outfield from left to right.

Smith is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels.

With the Angels sending a lefty starter (Sam Aldegheri) to the hill for the second straight day, the left-handed-hitting Smith will once again head to the bench. LuJames Groover will get the nod at first base in place of Smith.
