Massey is out of the lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Padres.

After going 4-for-8 with two RBI, two runs scored, one walk and one strikeout in the first two games of the series, Massey will receive a breather for Sunday's matchup. Nick Loftin will take over duties at second base and bat second for Kansas City.

Miami optioned Hinds to Jacksonville on Sunday.

After spending just over a week with the big-league club, Hinds will make his way back down to Jacksonville. The 25-year-old logged just two at-bats with the Marlins in his second big-league stint this season and his first with Miami. The Marlins recalled Graham Pauley from Triple-A to take Hinds' spot on the active roster.

DeGrom (glute) is scheduled to start Monday's game against the White Sox, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

The 38-year-old was scratched from his final outing before the All-Star break due to a mild left glute strain, but deGrom's been cleared to take the mound for Texas' fourth game of the second half. He's given up two runs or fewer in six of his past seven starts and has a 4-1 record with a 3.07 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 52:10 K:BB across 41 innings during that span.

The Marlins recalled Pauley from Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday.

Pauley will return to the big-league club after spending a couple of weeks in Triple-A. In the majors this season, the 25-year-old has slashed .176/.219/.297 with one homer and 11 RBI. To make room for Pauley on the roster, Miami optioned Rece Hinds to Jacksonville.

Misiorowski (arm) is scheduled to start Monday's game against the Mets, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

The flamethrowing right-hander was initially penciled in to rejoin the rotation Tuesday after recovering from a bout of arm fatigue, but instead he'll move up a day while Brandon Sproat gets bumped to Tuesday. Misiorowski will be making his first start since July 7 in St. Louis, when he struck out 11 and gave up three runs across seven innings while picking up his 10th victory of the year. It's not a major surprise that the 24-year-old got some extra time off -- his 111 innings this season is fast approaching the career high of 141.1 frames he posted between Triple-A and the majors last year including the playoffs.

Cronenworth is out of the lineup for Sunday's matchup against the Royals.

Cronenworth will ride the bench as Kansas City trots out southpaw Noah Cameron. Switch hitter Luis Rengifo will man second base and bat seventh for San Diego.

Witt is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.

Witt went 0-for-8 with a walk and three strikeouts in the first two games of the second half, and it's interesting he's already receiving a day off. The shortstop started Kansas City's first 76 games of the season and only hit the bench after sustaining a Grade 1 MCL sprain in his right knee. There's been no indication that the 26-year-old suffered a setback or is dealing with a new injury, but his absence could extend into a series versus San Francisco that begins Monday.

Sheets is out of the lineup for Sunday's matchup against Kansas City.

With southpaw Noah Cameron on the mound for the Royals, Sheets will ride the pine Sunday. Jase Bowen will take over in left field and bat eighth for San Diego.

Alvarez is out of the lineup for Sunday's matchup against the Phillies.

Alvarez will get a breather for the series finale against Philadelphia after going 0-for-3 with a walk, a strikeout and an error in Saturday's game. Luis Torrens will be behind the plate and bat ninth for the Mets.

Manager Aaron Boone said Rodriguez will be called up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to serve as the Yankees' 27th man for Sunday's doubleheader against the Dodgers and could "potentially" start Game 2, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

With the Yankees deciding to push Ryan Weathers back a day in the schedule to start Monday's series opener versus the Pirates, Rodriguez looks poised to temporarily step into the big-league rotation as a starter or bulk reliever. The 22-year-old has started in each of his prior four appearances with the Yankees, recording a 4.76 ERA, 1.76 WHIP and 10:11 K:BB in 17 innings.
