Trent Grisham CF | NYY
Yankees' Trent Grisham: Not going on injured list yet
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Tuesday that the Grisham (hamstring) will not be placed on the 10-day injured list at this time, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.
Grisham tweaked his left hamstring during Monday's game in Toronto and is out of the lineup for Tuesday's contest. However, the outfielder is going through pregame activities and will avoid the IL for now. Grisham is considered day-to-day for the time being, but an eventual trip to the IL can't be ruled out if the hamstring issue lingers.

Kyle Wright SP | CHC
Royals' Kyle Wright: Oblique injury at Triple-A
Wright will be shut down for the next two weeks at Triple-A Omaha after being diagnosed with a Grade 2 left oblique strain, Doug Miller of MLB.com reports.
Wright had to be scratched from a scheduled start with Omaha this past Friday after injuring himself in a pregame bullpen session. He will be re-evaluated after a two-week shutdown period. Wright hasn't pitched at the big-league level since undergoing right shoulder surgery in October 2023.

Bryan De La Cruz RF | PHI
Yankees' Bryan De La Cruz: Joins Yankees in Toronto
De La Cruz has joined the Yankees in Toronto and is expected to replace the injured Trent Grisham (hamstring) on the roster, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
De La Cruz has slashed .250/.329/.421 with seven homers in 43 games with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after the Yankees claimed him off waivers at the beginning of May. The veteran outfielder posted a .453 OPS across 50 plate appearances with Atlanta earlier this season. De La Cruz could see some action versus lefties but will likely operate mostly in a reserve role.

Jonathan Loaisiga RP | ARI
Yankees' Jonathan Loaisiga: Shakes off illness
Loaisiga (illness) made relief appearances in Sunday's 12-5 win over the Athletics and Monday's 5-4 loss to the Blue Jays, striking out two and allowing two hits and no walks over 2.1 scoreless innings.
Loaisiga departed his previous appearance back on June 24 against the Reds due to an illness, but he was out of commission for only a few days before returning to action. The veteran reliever owns a 3.79 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 17:6 K:BB and has collected four holds over 19 innings with the Yankees this season.

Trent Grisham CF | NYY
Yankees' Trent Grisham: Likely headed to injured list
Grisham (hamstring) is likely to be placed on the 10-day injured list, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
Grisham had to depart Monday's contest in Toronto with a tight left hamstring. He was seen testing out the hamstring in the outfield pregame Tuesday but evidently didn't feel well enough to avoid a likely trip to the IL. Grisham would be eligible for activation July 11, but with the All-Star break looming shortly after that, there's a good chance the Yankees would hold him back at least until the start of the second half. Cody Bellinger will handle center field while Grisham is out, opening up more starts in left field for Jasson Dominguez.

Ben Rice DH | NYY
Yankees' Ben Rice: Taking seat Tuesday
Rice is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays.
The lefty-hitting Rice had started in each of the Yankees' last seven matchups with right-handed pitchers, but he'll move to the bench Tuesday as Toronto sends righty Kevin Gausman to the hill. With a 143 wRC+ over 211 plate appearances versus righties this season, Rice has been far more productive in those matchups than the right-handed-hitting Paul Goldschmidt (73 wRC+ in 231 plate appearances), but Yankees manager Aaron Boone isn't yet ready to commit to a strict platoon between the two players at first base. Goldschmidt will get the nod at first base Tuesday, and he and Rice could both be occasionally included together in the lineup against righties if Rice is used at catcher or designated hitter.

Hunter Dobbins SP | STL
Red Sox's Hunter Dobbins: Cleared for rehab start
Dobbins (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Portland this weekend, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
Dobbins has missed the last week-plus of action with a right elbow strain but has been cleared for a rehab start after throwing a bullpen session without issue Monday. He's expected to require just one rehab outing, setting Dobbins up to potentially return from the 15-day injured list next week.

Royce Lewis 1B | MIN
Twins' Royce Lewis: Makes return from IL
The Twins reinstated Lewis (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.
Lewis will rejoin Minnesota after he missed just over two weeks with a left hamstring strain, the latest in a long line of soft-tissue injuries for the 26-year-old in recent seasons. He was activated after going 0-for-8 with two strikeouts while making two starts at designated hitter and one at third base during a three-game rehab assignment at Triple-A St. Paul. Though the Twins haven't clarified their plans for Lewis upon his return from the IL, he'll presumably have his workload managed initially and may end up seeing a larger share of his starts at DH in an effort to keep him healthy. While Lewis has been productive when available in past seasons despite missing considerable time with injuries, he's struggled to get going offensively thus far in 2025, slashing just .202/.282/.303 with two home runs and nine RBI over 110 plate appearances.

Trent Grisham CF | NYY
Yankees' Trent Grisham: Out of Tuesday's lineup
Grisham (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game in Toronto.
Grisham will get Tuesday's contest off after he was removed from Monday's 5-4 win after four innings due to left hamstring tightness. Per Meredith Marakovits of YES Network, Grisham was testing out his hamstring in the outfield prior to Tuesday's game, offering hope that he could avoid the 10-day injured list. Cody Bellinger will patrol center field for the Yankees on Tuesday.

Nathan Lukes RF | TOR
Blue Jays' Nathan Lukes: Idle against lefty
Lukes is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Yankees.
The Yankees are sending a lefty starter (Max Fried) to the hill for the second day in a row, and the left-handed-hitting Lukes has found himself on the bench for both those contests. Lukes will once again give way in center field to Myles Straw, who will bat sixth.
