The Astros activated Correa (thumb) from the 10-day disabled list Sunday, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Houston has yet to unveil its lineup for the series finale against the Mets, but it's expected to feature Correa at shortstop with the 22-year-old having fully recovered from the torn thumb ligament that sidelined him for a month and a half. Correa's return means that Marwin Gonzalez will likely see most of his action in the outfield going forward, which could translate to fewer at-bats for the likes of Jake Marisnick, Cameron Maybin and Derek Fisher.

Baez went 2-for-5 with a double, a solo home run, two RBI and two runs during Saturday's win over Atlanta.

Baez posted a .290/.339/.523 slash line with seven homers, 25 RBI, five stolen bases and 21 runs in August, and Saturday's gem has his strong month continuing into September. There is a lot of game-to-game inconsistency with Baez, but he offers rare cross-category upside and high-end power potential from the middle infield. His eligibility at multiple positions shouldn't be overlooked, either.

O'Malley was designated for assignment on Saturday.

The Mariners needed to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Gordon Beckham, whose contract was selected as a corresponding move. O'Malley is hitting .205/.250/.282 with one home run in 84 plate appearances with Tacoma.

Featherston cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Durham, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

He was designated for assignment Monday, and will spend the rest of the year at Durham. Featherston has a career .160/.221/.256 slash line in 244 plate appearances in the big leagues.

Arcia is out of Saturday's lineup against the Nationals.

The Brewers are going with a lefty-heavy approach against the best right-handed pitcher in the National League, Max Scherzer. Eric Sogard gets the start at shortstop and will lead off.

Seager (elbow) will start a 4-to-7 day throwing progression Monday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Seager will likely be out for at least another week while recovering from elbow soreness that has kept the shortstop out of the starting lineup since Aug. 27, although he will be able to pinch hit effective immediately. He's been dealing with swelling and inflammation in the elbow, but shouldn't miss too much time, as he's likely going to be able to return fully at the conclusion of his throwing program. In his place, Chris Taylor and Enrique Hernandez will fill in at the shortstop position.

Bogaerts will likely return to the lineup Sunday against the Yankees, Tim Britton of The Providence Journal reports.

It sounds like the Red Sox are taking an opportunity to give their slumping shortstop a couple maintenance days, as he was recently dealing with lingering soreness from getting hit on the hand by a pitch in July. Eduardo Nunez is starting at shortstop and leading off. If Bogaerts continues to struggle at the plate after returning, he could lose out on a start or two each week over the final month, as the Red Sox now have pretty solid infield depth.

Bogaerts is out of Saturday's lineup against the Yankees, Tim Britton of The Providence Journal reports.

Eduardo Nunez, who is starting at shortstop and leading off, is hitting .314/.347/.562 with eight home runs in 137 at-bats since joining the Red Sox and Bogaerts is hitting just .230/.310/.354 with two home runs over that stretch. It was reported earlier this week that Bogaerts was still dealing with hand pain from when he was hit by a pitch in early July, so that could also be factoring into him sitting for the second straight game.

Crawford had a big day at the plate Friday, going 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and a two-run home run in a loss to St. Louis.

Crawford had a home run taken away from him Thursday due to an incorrect ruling by the umpiring headquarters in New York. There was no controversy surrounding his homer in the second inning after the ball bounced off the outfield wall and cleared several rows of bleachers in left field. The 30-year-old has been on a tear over his last 10 contests, batting .417 with 10 extra-base hits (three homers) and eight RBI.

DeJong went 2-for-4 with a two-run double, a walk and a run in Friday's 11-6 win over the Giants.

DeJong snapped right out of a rare 0-for-9 slump that had encompassed his previous two games, posting his third multi-hit effort in the last eight contests. The rookie racked up an impressive 20 RBI in August and got September off on the right foot in that regard with his timely two-bagger Friday.
