Nick Pivetta SP | SD
Red Sox's Nick Pivetta: Hit hard in return
Pivetta (1-2) took the loss Wednesday against Atlanta, allowing five runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out one over four innings.
Pivetta got off to a rough start, allowing back-to-back home runs with two outs in the first inning to put the Red Sox in an early 4-0 hole. The right-hander would allow another long ball in the third, the second homer from Marcell Ozuna on the night, and would make it through only four frames while surrendering a season-high five runs. The seven hits and three home runs allowed also marked season highs for the veteran. He'll look to get back on track next week when Boston takes on the Rays at home.

Chris Sale SP | ATL
Braves' Chris Sale: Dominates old team
Sale (5-1) earned the win over the Red Sox on Wednesday, hurling six shutout innings while allowing six hits and one walk. He struck out 10.
Sale allowed at least one hit in each of his first five innings of work but was consistently able to work his way through it without sustaining any damage. He logged just one 1-2-3 inning, which came in the sixth, while fanning a season-high 10 batters on the night. The veteran lefty has now logged quality starts in three of his last four outings and hasn't produced fewer than six strikeouts in any of his seven starts this season. He's also won each of his last four starts.

Spencer Arrighetti RP | TOR
Astros' Spencer Arrighetti: Falters against Yankees
Arrighetti (0-4) took the loss against the Yankees on Wednesday, pitching five innings during which he allowed five runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out four batters.
Arrighetti was victimized by the long ball in the loss, as New York belted three homers against him. After posting his best career start in allowing two runs over 5.2 frames against Cleveland his previous time out, the rookie right-hander was back to scuffling Wednesday. He's lost four of his five starts this season while registering an 8.44 ERA, 2.02 WHIP and 25:13 K:BB over 21.1 innings. He may be bumped from the rotation with Cristian Javier (neck) slated to return from the injured list this weekend.

Carlos Rodon SP | NYY
Yankees' Carlos Rodon: Secures third victory
Rodon (3-2) earned the win over Houston on Wednesday, allowing two runs on seven hits and no walks while striking out seven batters over 6.1 innings.
Rodon gave up six earned runs over four frames versus the Orioles in his worst start of the campaign his last time out, but he bounced back with a strong showing Wednesday. The left-hander racked up 16 swinging strikes against the Astros, leading to his second-highest single-game strikeout total of the season. While Rodon's season ERA sits at a mediocre 3.56, that's largely due to the blowup outing against Baltimore. He has posted a 2.54 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 37:14 K:BB over 39 innings across his other seven starts.

Aaron Civale RP | CHC
Rays' Aaron Civale: Pulled in fifth frame again
Civale (2-3) took the loss against the White Sox on Wednesday, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out four batters over 4.2 innings.
Civale began the game with four scoreless innings before serving up a Paul DeJong two-run homer in the fifth. The right-hander got the next two batters out but then yielded a single and a walk before getting the hook. It was the fourth straight game in which Civale was yanked from a start during the fifth inning, and he's recorded an ugly 9.82 ERA and 1.91 WHIP along with a 17:8 K:BB over 18.2 frames during that stretch.

Chris Flexen RP | CHC
White Sox's Chris Flexen: Strikes out eight batters in win
Flexen (2-3) earned the victory against Tampa Bay on Wednesday, allowing one run on three hits and one walk while striking out eight batters over six innings.
Flexen isn't usually much of a strikeout pitcher, but he fanned eight Rays in the win, doubling his previous season-high mark. In addition, the right-hander notched his second quality start of the campaign and extended his streak of outings with two or fewer runs to five. After giving up 13 earned runs over his first 13.1 frames this season, Flexen has turned things around dramatically, posting a 1.61 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 18:7 K:BB over 22.1 innings across his subsequent five appearances.

Mitchell Parker RP | WAS
Nationals' Mitchell Parker: Falls just short of quality start
Parker allowed two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out three batters over 5.2 innings in a no-decision against Baltimore on Wednesday.
Parker served up his first two homers of the season -- both solo shots -- in the contest, but those were the only runs he allowed. He was given the hook after throwing only 77 pitches with two outs in the sixth inning, preventing him from notching his second quality start. Despite that disappointment and the fact that he fanned only three batters, this was another positive outing for the rookie, as he's now given up two or fewer runs in four of his five appearances. Parker has made a strong impression in the majors thus far with a 2.67 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 22:5 K:BB over 27 innings through five starts.

Kyle Bradish SP | BAL
Orioles' Kyle Bradish: Fans nine Wednesday
Bradish tossed five innings, allowing one run on four hits and two walks while striking out nine batters in a no-decision against Washington on Wednesday.
In his second start of the campaign, Bradish nudged his pitch count up a bit from 84 to 90 while completing five frames. The right-hander gave up just one run -- as he did in his first start of the season -- and racked up nine strikeouts but settled for a no-decision as both teams' offenses were quiet until the latter portion of the contest. In terms of health, Bradish is still working his way back from the UCL sprain he was diagnosed with in mid-February, though he already appears to be in good form; through two starts, he's posted a 14:4 K:BB while giving up just two runs and eights hits across 9.2 innings.

Gavin Stone SP | LAD
Dodgers' Gavin Stone: Another impressive outing
Stone (3-1) picked up the win Wednesday against Miami, allowing one run on six hits and no walks over seven innings. He struck out four.
Outside of a solo homer to Bryan De La Cruz in the fourth inning, Stone was exceptional, yielding one run for a third consecutive start. He's lasted at least six innings in three straight outings, dragging his ERA down to 3.55 through 38.0 frames. With Bobby Miller (shoulder) nearing the start of a rehab assignment, Stone could only have a couple more go-arounds in the Dodgers' rotation, with a date at San Francisco on tap for Tuesday.

Ryan Weathers SP | NYY
Marlins' Ryan Weathers: Decent showing against LAD
Weathers (2-4) took the loss Wednesday, allowing three runs on five hits and a walk over six innings against the Dodgers. He struck out three.
Weathers submitted his second straight quality start; however, he was stuck with the loss as the Marlins could only muster up one run off Gavin Stone and the Dodgers' bullpen. He gave up a two-run home run in the sixth to Teoscar Hernandez, marking Weathers' fifth consecutive start allowing a long ball. The southpaw has been serviceable for Miami this season, having allowed more than three runs once in eight starts with a 1.32 WHIP.
