Quintana (1-5) took the loss in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Dodgers, giving up three runs on eight hits over six innings. He struck out three without walking a batter.

The veteran lefty didn't pitch badly, but a lack of run support and homers by Will Smith and Miguel Vargas doomed him to defeat as the Mets fell, 3-0. The quality start was Quintana's third of the season, and he'll carry a 5.06 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 39:18 K:BB through 58.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come on the road early next week against the Nationals.

Atlanta selected Schwellenbach's contract from Double-A Mississippi on Wednesday.

Schwellenbach is set to make his major-league debut Wednesday versus the Nationals. The young right-hander has made eight starts between Single-A Rome and Mississippi this season, posting a 1.80 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 51:10 K:BB over 45 innings. Just two of those starts came at the Double-A level and Schwellenbach will be skipping over Triple-A Gwinnett, but Atlanta felt the 23-year-old was ready to join its rotation. He should be in line for additional starts if he performs well.

Megill came away with a no-decision in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Dodgers, allowing three hits and a walk over seven scoreless innings. He struck out nine.

The Mets wound up getting swept in the twin bill, but that was no fault of Megill's. The right-hander generated 32 called or swinging strikes among his 98 pitches in his best performance of the season, and he left the mound with the Mets ahead 2-0 only to watch the bullpen blow the lead and lose the game in 10 innings. Megill has an impressive 16:3 K:BB through 12 innings since returning from a shoulder strain, and he'll look for his first win of 2024 when he makes his next start, which is likely to come at home this weekend against the Diamondbacks.

Wheeler did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's loss to the Giants, throwing six scoreless innings while allowing just two hits and two walks. He struck out nine.

Wheeler's excellent start got wasted after the Phillies were shut out in Tuesday's loss. The Giants scattered just two hits against him, and his most dominant inning came in the third when he struck out the side. Tuesday was Wheeler's third start this season tossing a shutout while allowing two or fewer hits and striking out at least eight. He now has nine quality starts in 12 tries and will carry a 2.32 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 85:23 K:BB (73.2 innings) into a projected outing against the Brewers to begin next week.

Stone (5-2) picked up the win in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader sweep of the Mets, scattering three hits over seven scoreless innings. He struck out seven without walking a batter.

The 25-year-old righty delivered his best performance of the season, firing 63 of 87 pitches for strikes in his sixth quality start of the year. Stone's seven Ks were a season high, and he'll take a 3.16 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 41:17 K:BB through 57 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home this weekend against the Rockies.

Peralta didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Cubs, allowing one run on three hits and two walks across 5.2 innings. He struck out 11.

Peralta got no run support again Tuesday, with the Brewers being held scoreless until the bottom of the ninth. Still, the 28-year-old generated 23 swinging strikes in less than six innings and tied his season high in Ks. His only blemish was a solo homer by Michael Busch in the third inning. After yielding three or more runs in three straight starts to open up May, Peralta has yielded two runs -- both solo homers -- with 18 strikeouts in 12.2 innings during his last two starts. He's set up for a start Sunday against the White Sox.

Glasnow came away with a no-decision in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader sweep of the Mets, allowing two runs on two hits and four walks over seven innings. He struck out eight.

The right-hander produced his eighth quality start of the season while fanning at least eight batters for the sixth time in his last seven trips to the mound, but Glasnow exited the game in line for the loss before the Dodgers rallied late and eventually won it in the 10th inning. Glasnow will take a 3.04 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 95:21 K:BB through 74 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come early next week in Pittsburgh.

Feltner allowed seven runs (six earned) on eight hits and two walks while striking out one over 4.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Guardians on Tuesday.

Feltner finally had some struggles at Coors Field in his fourth home start of the campaign. Jose Ramirez tagged him for a two-run home run in the first inning and Josh Naylor added another two-run blast in the fifth. Feltner posted six scoreless innings against the Athletics in his previous start, but he took a step back Tuesday and continues to post poor numbers overall. He's at a 5.61 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 49:18 K:BB through 59.1 innings across 11 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Reds.

Pfaadt (2-4) allowed four runs on six hits and a walk while striking out five over seven innings to take the loss versus the Rangers on Tuesday.

Pfaadt covered at least six innings for the sixth start in a row, but this was the third time this year he's allowed at least four earned runs -- Josh Smith had an RBI single in the third inning and Corey Seager continued his power surge with a three-run home run in the fifth. Pfaadt is now at a 4.16 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 63:12 K:BB through 67 innings across 11 starts. He's projected to make his next start on the road versus the Mets.

Abbott (3-5) took the loss Tuesday against the Cardinals, allowing six runs on seven hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out three.

Abbott held St. Louis to three runs through six innings, as he pitched into the seventh for a third straight start. However, Abbott would allow the first three batters to reach in the frame, punctuated by a Nolan Gorman homer, en route to an eventual 7-1 loss. The 24-year-old left-hander had held opponents to two earned runs or fewer in nine of his 10 starts prior to Tuesday. Abbott's ERA rose to 3.29 with a 1.13 WHIP and 46:17 K:BB over 63 innings this year. He'll look to get back on track in his next outing, currently scheduled for early next week in Colorado.
