  • Corey Kluber SP | BOS

Indians' Corey Kluber: Collects 10th win

Kluber (10-2) surrendered two runs on five hits while striking out eight over eight innings Sunday as he picked up the win over Detroit.

Kluber allowed one run in the third and another in the sixth on a Leonys Martin solo homer, but his offense gave him more than enough run support to earn the victory. Kluber has demonstrated excellent command over his last six outings, as he hasn't issued a single walk since May 8 against Milwaukee, which is also the last time he was tagged with a loss. Through 14 starts this season, the 32-year-old has posted a 1.99 ERA and 0.83 WHIP with an outstanding 103:10 K:BB over 99.2 innings.

  • Dallas Keuchel SP | MIL

Astros' Dallas Keuchel: Surrenders 13 hits

Keuchel allowed six runs (five earned) on 13 hits and no walks while striking out three across 4.1 innings Sunday against the Rangers. He did not factor into the decision.

Keuchel was a given a six-run lead but couldn't make it last thanks to the 13 hits he allowed, which matched a career worst. The lone positive that can be taken from the outing is that he allowed only one extra-base hit, a double to Isiah Kiner-Falefa. Because of that, it would be tempting to write off this start as bad batted-ball luck, but Keuchel has now allowed 16 earned runs over his last 16 innings pitched.

  • Artie Lewicki SP | ARI

Tigers' Artie Lewicki: Takes loss Sunday

Lewicki (0-2) took the loss Sunday against the Indians, as he allowed three earned runs on six hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out four.

Lewicki was decent in this one, but with Corey Kluber locked in for Cleveland, his margin for error was slim as the Tigers mustered just two runs. With Jordan Zimmermann (shoulder) and Francisco Liriano (hamstring) set to return next week, Lewicki figures to get bumped from the rotation soon, though he possibly showed enough to earn another spot start the next time the need arises.

  • Nathan Eovaldi SP | TEX

Rays' Nathan Eovaldi: Allows three runs in no-decision

Eovaldi allowed three runs on four hits with no walks across five innings in a no-decision Sunday against the Mariners. He struck out three.

The significant damage to Eovaldi's ledger was done via the long ball, including a solo home run by Nelson Cruz in the second inning and a two-run shot by Mike Zunino in the sixth. He threw 70 percent of his pitches for strikes and got six groundball outs, but a whopping 38 foul balls by the visitors ran up his pitch count en route to an early removal. Eovaldi has apparently taken a step back after his electric season debut, allowing seven earned runs in 10 innings over two subsequent starts. He'll take a 3.94 ERA into a matchup with the Yankees next weekend.

  • James Paxton SP | BOS

Mariners' James Paxton: Strikes out 10 in win over Rays

Paxton (6-1) allowed three runs on five hits and no walks across seven innings for the win Sunday against the Rays. He struck out 10.

Paxton filled up the strike zone at a 73 percent clip while inducing 15 swinging strikes and getting seven groundball outs. Despite this dominance, he faltered in the third and fourth innings, when he allowed three combined runs on four hits. He settled down after that and cruised through the end of the seventh with his fourth double-digit strikeout game since Apr. 26. Paxton, sporting a 3.02 ERA and an 11.2 K/9, will pitch next weekend against the Red Sox.

  • Chris Bassitt SP | BAL

Athletics' Chris Bassitt: Sent back to Nashville

The Athletics optioned Bassitt to Triple-A Nashville on Sunday.

Bassitt was impressive in his season debut for the Athletics on Saturday against the Royals, tossing seven innings of one-run ball and giving up three hits and a walk while striking out six in a losing effort. The Athletics are hopeful that Trevor Cahill (Achilles) will be ready to make his subsequent start Friday against the Angels, but if the right-hander is unable to take the hill and requires a trip to the disabled list, Bassitt would likely be recalled in a corresponding move to fill the void in the rotation, according to Jane Lee of MLB.com.

  • Chris Bassitt SP | BAL

Athletics' Chris Bassitt: Tough-luck loser Saturday

Bassitt (0-1) took the loss Saturday as the A's fell 2-0 to the Royals, allowing one run on three hits and a walk over seven innings while striking out six.

Making his first big-league appearance since 2016, the 29-year-old put together a strong outing but got outdueled by Danny Duffy. Given his weak numbers for Triple-A Nashville over the last two seasons, however, Bassitt can't be counted on for a repeat performance even if he does earn another turn through the rotation.

  • Charlie Morton SP | ATL

Astros' Charlie Morton: Wild in short outing

Morton allowed two runs (one earned) on one hit and six walks while striking out four across 3.2 innings Saturday against the Rangers. He did not factor into the decision.

Morton was exceptionally wild in this start, hitting four batters on top of the six free passes he surrendered. While his line was far from sparkling, it could have been much worse for him, as he managed to strand the bases loaded in both the first and second innings while stranding runners at second and third in the third inning. After an incredible run to start the season, Morton has come back to earth of late, as he has allowed 26 baserunners across his last 15 innings.

  • Carlos Rodon SP | NYY

White Sox's Carlos Rodon: Fans seven in 2018 debut

Rodon (0-1) took the loss Saturday as the White Sox fell 4-2 to the Red Sox, allowing four runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks over five innings while striking out seven.

The left-hander threw 63 of 97 pitches for strikes in his season debut, generating 15 swinging strikes, but some shoddy defense behind him and a pair of homers by Jackie Bradley and J.D. Martinez sent Rodon down to defeat. It doesn't look like the White Sox plan to limit his workload now that he's fully recovered from last September's shoulder surgery, putting Rodon on track to make his second start of the year Thursday at home against Cleveland.

  • Kyle Gibson SP | BAL

Twins' Kyle Gibson: Takes loss despite quality start Saturday

Gibson (1-4) took the loss Saturday as the Twins fell 2-1 to the Angels, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks over seven innings while striking out five.

Both runs scored on solo homers, just the second time all year Gibson has served up multiple home runs in a start. The right-hander hasn't won since his first start of the season, but he's given the Twins seven quality starts and will carry a 3.45 ERA into his next outing Friday in Cleveland.
