Urena (groin) was placed on the 10-day injured list following Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Twins, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Groin tightness shortened Urena's start Saturday and will now sideline him for an indefinite period of time. Details and a timeframe for his return should become clear in the coming days.

Allard will not start Saturday against the Blue Jays due to a postponement.

The southpaw figures to start one of the two games in Sunday's doubleheader, but the Rangers have yet to confirm as much. Allard yielded four solo home runs in a six-inning outing last Sunday, raising his ERA to 3.69 in 2021.

Urena was removed from Saturday's start against the Twins after three innings with right groin tightness, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

The righty threw 42 pitches, striking out a pair and allowing two hits in three scoreless frames. Daniel Norris entered in the fourth inning with Detroit leading 1-0. Additional details regarding Urena's condition should become available during or following the Saturday afternoon contest.

Ryu will not start Saturday against Texas due to the game being postponed.

The teams will play a doubleheader Sunday, so Ryu figures to start one of the two contests. The lefty most recently allowed one run and struck out seven over five innings July 7 in Baltimore. It should become clear at some point Saturday whether Ryu is in fact starting a game Sunday.

The White Sox signed Lynn to a two-year, $38-million contract extension Saturday.

The deal will keep Lynn in Chicago through the 2023 season and includes a club option for 2024. Through 16 starts with the White Sox, the righty has gone 9-3 and posted a 1.99 ERA and 1.04 WHIP in 90.2 innings. Lynn is expected to make his next start Monday against the Twins.

Wacha allowed four runs on five hits and two walks while striking out five over four innings Friday against the Braves. He did not factor into the decision.

Wacha kept Atlanta off the scoreboard for the first three innings before allowing two home runs in the third. He has been quite unpredictable this season. Over his last four outings, he's had two in which he's allowed one run or less and two in which he's allowed at least four runs. He stands at a 5.14 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 55:18 K:BB over 61.1 innings so far and is lined up to take the mound against the Orioles next week.

Ray (8-4) picked up the win in Friday's 10-2 victory over the Rangers, allowing four hits and two walks over 6.2 scoreless innings. He struck out eight.

The left-hander came out firing in the second half, tossing 66 of 100 pitches for strikes to extend his quality start streak to five. Ray has been one of the best pitchers in baseball since the beginning of June, posting a 2.11 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 78:14 K:BB through 55.1 innings over that stretch.

Lyles (5-6) took the loss Friday, coughing up six runs on seven hits -- including four home runs -- and three walks over four innings in a 10-2 defeat at the hands of the Blue Jays. He struck out three.

It was a rough way to begin the second half for Lyles, who tossed only 53 of 95 pitches for strikes before getting the hook. The veteran righty had reeled off four straight quality starts before the All-Star break, but that's been his only real stretch of sustained success this season. He'll carry a 5.20 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 79:33 K:BB through 100.1 innings into his next outing.

Heaney (5-7) allowed four earned runs on six hits while striking out four across four innings, taking the loss to the Mariners on Friday.

Heaney surrendered a two-run homer to Kyle Seager as a part of a three-run third inning. The 30-year-old has struggled in his last five starts, going 1-4 with a 8.49 ERA and 1.67 WHIP across 23.1 innings. His current 5.56 ERA is set to be his worst career ERA in any season that he pitched at least 30 innings. The southpaw will look to turn the tide in his next start Thursday in Minnesota.

Flexen (9-3) allowed one earned run on six hits and one walk while striking out two across seven innings to earn the win over the Angels on Friday.

Flexen's only damage was a second-inning solo home run off the bat of Max Stassi. Other than that, it was another great performance against the Halos, as he's allowed just four runs against them in 18 innings over three appearances this season. Over his last six starts, Flexen is 4-0 with a 1.36 ERA and 0.91 WHIP. He has lowered his season ERA to 3.35 and his nine wins have him tied for third-most in the American League. The only downfall right now is his low 5.9 K/9.
