Lynch gave up three earned runs on six hits and two walks while striking out five over 3.2 innings in a 6-5 extra-inning loss to the Blue Jays on Saturday. He did not factor into the decision

It was another lackluster performance for Lynch, who gave up three earned runs on only 76 pitches. The 25-year-old left-hander was pulled from the game in the fourth after giving up three singles and a walk in the inning to tie the game at 3-3. Lynch has struggled with control all season long and is walking 4.2 batters per nine frames.

Taillon (10-2) earned the win over Boston on Saturday, allowing one run on two hits and no walks while striking out five over six innings.

Taillon came into the contest having allowed 20 runs over his previous 21 frames, and things looked ominous when he served up a solo homer to Rafael Devers in the first inning Saturday. New York responded with four runs in the bottom of the frame, however, and Taillon cruised from there, giving up only one more hit and no runs the rest of the way. The right-hander finished the first half with a team-high 10 victories along with a 3.86 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 82:12 K:BB over 100.1 innings.

Kremer did not factor in the decision against Tampa Bay on Saturday, allowing three runs on eight hits while striking out two batters over four innings.

Kremer didn't issue any walks in the contest, but he uncorked two wild pitches, each of which allowed a run to cross the plate. He had trouble keeping runners off the basepaths, and the damage against him on the scoreboard could have been worse if not for a pair of double plays behind him. This was his shortest outing of the campaign and just the second time in his past seven starts that he failed to complete five innings. Kremer finishes the first half with a 2.59 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 32:12 K:BB over 41.2 innings.

Suarez (1-4) allowed six runs on five hits and three walks with six strikeouts in 3.2 innings, taking the loss Saturday versus the Dodgers.

Suarez hasn't completed five innings in any of his three July starts. He's allowed 12 runs in 12 innings this month. Saturday's outing was marred by the long ball, as Trea Turner took him deep twice and Max Muncy added a three-run blast. Suarez had a 4.36 ERA at the end of June, but it's now at 5.60 with a 1.58 WHIP and 45:22 K:BB across 45 innings in 11 appearances (nine starts) this year. The Angels are expected to resume a six-man rotation after the All-Star break, so he's not yet at immediate risk of losing his starting role despite the recent struggles.

Lynn (1-3) took the loss Saturday, allowing six runs on seven hits over five innings against the Twins. He struck out six and did not issue a walk.

The Twins hit three homers in the first three frames against Lynn -- Luis Arraez, Carlos Correa and Jorge Polanco all went yard. Lynn has not looked anything like himself since returning from surgery to address a tendon tear in his right knee. He now has a 7.50 ERA and 1.50 WHIP in 36 innings this season, with 14 of his 30 earned runs allowed coming in his last two starts (nine innings).

Bundy (6-4) earned the win Saturday, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk over 5.1 innings against the White Sox. He struck out three.

Bundy filled up the strike zone, throwing 65 of 88 pitches for strikes. It wasn't the most dominant outing in terms of whiffs (eight swinging strikes), but Bundy was good enough within the zone to pick up a second straight win. The veteran has been a capable back-end starter for Minnesota this season (4.71 ERA, 1.27 WHIP), and he heads into the All-Star break on a nice little run, having quietly posted a 3.15 ERA over his last six starts.

Verlander (12-3) earned the win during Saturday's 5-0 victory over Oakland, allowing six hits while recording 10 strikeouts in six shutout innings.

Making his first start since July 7 due to a family issue, Verlander was handed an early lead and cruised through six easy frames en route to an MLB-best 12th win. The 39-year-old fired 73 of 106 pitches for strikes with an impressive 19 swinging strikes leading to double-digit strikeouts for the second time this season. At the conclusion of the first half, Verlander possesses a 1.89 ERA and 0.88 WHIP, both of which rank third in MLB, with 108 strikeouts in 109.1 innings across 17 starts.

Quantrill (6-5) earned the win during Saturday's 10-0 victory over Detroit, allowing four hits and two walks with five strikeouts in six scoreless innings.

Quantrill settled down after stranding the bases loaded and firing 27 pitches in the first inning to prevent any Detroit batter from passing first base the rest of the way, including retiring the final seven batters he faced. The 27-year-old tossed 62 of 100 pitches for strikes with an impressive 14 whiffs as the five strikeouts surprisingly tie his second-best mark this season. Quantrill concludes a solid first half with a 3.75 ERA and 1.29 WHIP with 63 strikeouts in 100.2 innings across 17 starts.

Severino (lat) isn't expected to throw for two weeks, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Severino landed on the injured list with a low-grade right lat strain Thursday, and he'll presumably require more than the minimum of 15 days on the shelf since he'll need time to build back up following his shutdown. A better timetable for his return will likely come into focus once he's able to begin a throwing program.

Baz (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Saturday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Baz hit the injured list Thursday with a right elbow sprain. He'll be shut down for a month after receiving a platelet-rich plasma injection, so he likely wouldn't have had a chance to return within 60 days even without this transaction. He'll now be officially unable to make it back before September 9, and it's not yet clear if he'll be ready to return on that date or at any point over the last month of the regular season.
