Mets' Alex Carrillo: Optioned to Triple-A
The Mets optioned Carrillo to Triple-A Syracuse on Friday, Laura Albanese of Newsday reports.
Carrillo made his MLB debut earlier this month and pitched in three total games after he was recalled, turning in a 13.50 ERA, 1.71 WHIP and 4:2 K:BB across 4.2 innings of relief. Jose Castillo had his contract selected and will take Carrillo's spot in the bullpen.

Rays' Mason Montgomery: Up with Rays
The Rays recalled Montgomery from Triple-A Durham on Friday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Montgomery returns to the 26-man roster for the first time since being sent down to Triple-A on July 7. The 25-year-old has a 5.74 ERA in 31.1 innings with Tampa Bay but posted a 1.80 ERA in five innings at Durham.

Twins' Kody Funderburk: Returns to majors
The Twins recalled Funderburk from Triple-A St. Paul on Friday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
He takes the bullpen spot of fellow left-hander Anthony Misiewicz, who was placed on the 15-day IL with a left shoulder impingement. Funderburk has appeared in 10 games out of the bullpen for Minnesota this season, registering a 6.92 ERA, 1.85 WHIP and 9:5 K:BB across 13 innings of action.

Twins' Anthony Misiewicz: Placed on 15-day IL
The Twins placed Misiewicz on the 15-day injured list Friday with a left shoulder impingement, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
Misiewicz was removed from Tuesday's 10-7 win over the Dodgers with the injury after throwing just six pitches. The left-handed reliever has appeared in four games with the Twins this season and owns a 10.38 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 5:3 K:BB across 4.1 innings of work.

Astros' Nick Hernandez: Brought up by Astros
Houston recalled Hernandez from Triple-A Sugar Land on Friday.
Hernandez will take Brandon Walter's (elbow) spot on the active roster as Walter heads to the injured list. Hernandez has a 1.70 ERA in 37 innings of relief with Sugar Land this season, and he's yielded two runs in two innings with the Astros.

Royals' Jonathan Bowlan: Back to Triple-A
The Royals optioned Bowlan to Triple-A Omaha on Friday.
With Hunter Harvey (shoulder) back from the 60-day IL, Bowlan will be dispatched back to the minors. Bowlan has appeared in 16 games out of the bullpen for the Royals this season, registering a 4.64 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 19:9 K:BB across 21.1 innings of action.

Royals' Hunter Harvey: Returns from IL
The Royals activated Harvey (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list Friday.
Harvey hasn't pitched in the big leagues since April 7 due to a shoulder strain, but he appeared in three rehab games and is ready to return to the Royals' bullpen. Harvey was off to a hot start this season, registering a 0.00 ERA, 0.19 WHIP and 7:0 K:BB across 5.1 innings prior to his injury. Harvey should slot back in as a top setup man for Kansas City.

Astros' Nick Robertson: DFA'd by Houston
Robertson was designated for assignment by the Astros on Friday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Robertson was acquired from Toronto back in April and has spent the entirety of the 2025 campaign at Triple-A Sugar Land, where he owns a 4.68 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 36:25 K:BB across 32.2 innings of relief.

Rockies' Nick Anderson: Contract selected
The Rockies selected Anderson's contract from Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday.
The right-hander joined Colorado on a minor-league deal in late May and will now receive his first look in the majors in 2025. Anderson didn't pitch particularly well in 14 appearances for Albuquerque with a 5.11 ERA, 1.74 WHIP and 15:7 K:BB over 12.1 innings.
